Could you tell what the different shifts are? What's the next one after 3am? Do you get to choose based on what works for your home life? Are part time and full time positions available? Does that just depend on the airline? Thanks for any info 🙂
Interesting. At PHL, the gate agent closes the door to the aircraft first , then puts the safety strap across, then moves the jetway away from the aircraft. I guess it's done differently elsewhere 🤷. One of my coworkers quit because she was a tiny person and closing that door was to much for her ! 🥵 Those doors weigh a ton !!!
I just got hired as a gate agent for spirit airlines and when they mentioned we have to pass a test before being put on schedule I freaked out. Training is only 2 weeks lol what?! Still excited for the journey maybe I’ll be a flight attendant some day
@@nieemabeatty4788 I will not be part of the flight crew my job is like this girl on the video. I haven't start yet ..I'm afraid they'll let me get on my feet the all day
Very interesting to watch this. I knew how much you have to go through to get hired. I thought you applied they trained you and get hired, like manufacture jobs you don't really require experienced. I would like to do something like this but too old too late. I received my degree I'm Medical field years a go. Your job looks fun and the day pass by quick
@@READINGPHONTAINE congratulations!! Learning new things come pretty easily for me but once I got the manual before my training I'm a little overwhelmed with you know 186 pages worth of materials that I need to learn which I'm sure I will learn but I'm scared about the class and the test. I have one month before my classes begin, I'll be studying my city codes and the other material. Hopefully it's enough.
Wow...just found your video and what brought me here is I applied for an Agent job with AA and wanted to see what this was like.... but I think I failed the assessment that I had to do without my online application. I 🤔 if they will still consider me for the job?? Great video!
Training is tougher than I thought it would be but I just passed my second test. One more to go. I can only miss up to 8 questions and everything I'd just so new and frustrating a bit but I know after time, it'll get better. @Davna Lones don't worry at all they'll ask you basic interview questions "when was a time you were mad at work, how's you handle a bad situation, how do you feel when you want to do something this way but the policies say blank, why do you want this job, etc"

*loved how real you were. Yes, working at the airport is great, but not always, and not all the time!* 🤣
I miss my work so much !
I used to be a gate agent but I needed to pursue my studies.
I will come back at the airport when I get my diploma 😁
Making the announcement would be my worst enemy- public speaking ( SHY). And I'm sure I need ALL the training. Going for training soon 😊
How has it been going? I’m shy too and being introverted I don’t know how I feel about dealing with customers all the time. Especially rude ones.
Yep, unfortunately this is the one part I could not do, due to a slight speech impediment. I'm sure after a while you could nail this, but damn.
How’s it going?
I'm still in Middle school so when I finish High school I'm going to become an American Airline pilot
I pray that you are able to successfully!! 🙏🏽
Love this video!!
This brings back so many memories I worked for Delta for 20 years.... new Subbie here lol
I’m sure you have some stories you could tell!! Thanks!

moving jetbridge back is easy since someone is guiding you ,its when you have a wide body and have go to 2nd door to meet
I'm in high school i want to be a airline agent.
I recited all of those announcements word for word with you... I hate that I memorize them! Lol
I can do them in my sleep!!!
Thank you so much for your videos ; they were a big help.
I’m already stressing out lol just got hired and super nervous
Congrats 👏. I'm proud of you 👍🌹

I’m new to the same airlines in NY. Agents get 5 days go otj gates and 3 days jetbridge. Even the trainers find that hard to believe

I know I’m late to the party but you really need to edit out passengers’ names. Especially when you just spelled it out and that’s not cool.
