Tubbo has honestly been through so much and he seems to be entirely neglected. This animatic really shows in a creative way just how much of a pawn he’s always been and what he’s been through. It’s amazing, as always!
They really just threw him into the presidency right in front of a pissed off anarchist Technoblade while standing on a pile of TNT with Wilbur's finger on the button. Then as proud president of a crater. His VP was a chaotic problem child and his "Sexy-tary of State" was fueled by vengeance and ambition. Tubbo was no cut out for that shit. In the end, however, Tubbo was arguably more tyrannical than JSchlatt. - He came into power during a coup, - Unilaterally banished his vice president, - Sent a military force to capture and execute someone publicly without trial, - Ransacked a resident's house without any due process for the crime of knowing the wrong person, - Planned to assassinate a foreign leader after inviting them to a peaceful celebration. If you look at JSchlatt's execution of Tubbo, you'll note the Tubbo was actively aiding in a treasonous plot vs the democratically elected government, even building a tunnel system for them. Heck, right before his execution, he spoke the code phrase to tell Wilbur to blow up L'Manberg, presumably killing Technoblade and any other Pogtopia sympathizers in the crowd.
well, the thing about pawns is that, if they make it to the end of the board, they have the chance to become something much stronger; but for tubbo, i think i'll say that he was the playing board. folded up and forgotten about, serving no use but to mark where you've been or will go. ignore me trying to sound smart i just wanted to say my theory lol
I just realized "I'm as tough as the crust of the earth is" actually has a lot of subtext to it! It's not one whole surface, but a bunch of broken pieces that bend and twist under their own pressure
It’s also like the weakest and thinnest layer of the earth. It’s honestly a really well written song. Miranda tends to have really good lyrics in most of his work.
This was soooo cool!! I don't feel like many people talk about the reality of c!Tubbos situation. He was manipulated and traumatized and lied to and brushes it off like he's not an actual kid that had to deal with responsibilities that he was forced into. His character is arguably one of the most interesting in the story. Incredible job as always!!!!

Ill rephrase it a bit better here just for clarifications sake. o-o I'm not so much as saying that Tubbos story is unsung but that the reality of everything hes been through, and how it effects him mentally, is not something that is as widely portrayed through out the commuinity in contrast to other characters (Such as Tommy's very prominent fear of Dream and how he works to overcome it). In all fairness his character is very head strong and chooses to brush off his own problems in favor of protecting his family and being there for his friends so its hard to spot these aspects of him without actually intentionally looking for them.
He’s been through so much, and somehow he can still hold himself together, he was so sad when ranboo died then he couldn’t find micheal. He keeps getting crushed by burdens and at the end he just is so overwhelmed he just explodes with emotions

No, it was Tommy who pressed the button wasn't it? He was like "What's this do? Imma press it" before Eret could press it for him 😂😂😂. Tommy had complete trust in Eret and could never have imagined that it was a trap.
this really puts into perspective how much tubbo as a character has gone through. From being killed by techno and reliving that moment in his dreams repeatedly to tommy's exile, losing his husband to the man who vowed to protect the server, seeing ghostboo everyday as a horrible reminder of his loss, the threat of losing his son to the same man who killed ranboo. this was an amazing animation, also. tubbo's and ranboo's design is amazing!!

A lot of people focus on Wilbur's stress during the L'Manburg war, slowly going insane, but Tubbo endured so much more, stretched between two sides. The poor guys has somehow held out through all of it, he really deserves a break.
Yeah bro Idk much lore abt DreamSMP but I DO KNOW that Tubbo was once president of L'manburg and Tommy tried to pull him outta it bc he was against the government Tubbo was stuck between the thing he wanted and the thing he always had and couldn't let go The role as president and Tommy But the part that made me sad was when they were in Dreams vault What would I be without you Yourself That will always be stuck in my head for no reason (BTW this is from the lore I understood so no hate plz)
i really like how tubbo's character design evolves in this, things like his eye healing and how he starts to get Buff as more pressure gets applied because he like, sees a need to be physically strong as well to protect his family. excellent touch to an excellent animation
I went through every emotion watching this I swear. This song goes perfectly with Tubbo's character. Ranboo's death and the "drip, drip, drip" parts literally had me sobbing yet in awe at how perfect they were. Absolutely fantastic!!

As c!Tommy said when he thought that c!Tubbo was about to get killed by c!Dream, c!Tubbo wasn't just a side kick, he had a full fleshed out story. @@hgjhdsgjgkjkhhh I think it's the other way around. tommy's got more tragic moments such as exile, temporarily killed, and being told tubbo was going to die, but tubbo's story was more traumatic because he was forced, as president, to exile his best friend, his other best friend(ranboo) was killed and imprisoned, he was originally going to be executed, and dream told him that he was just a pawn all along and said he was going to kill him. there was also a moment where he thought Tommy had died so he basically lost everyone closest to him since ranboo was in prison, I think, I'm not sure

I love how you gave Tubbo more muscle definition (at least for Snowchester/current Tubbo) than he usually gets in other animatics, it may be a small detail but I like it, for one because he has more muscle than he’s depicted as happens and also he appears to gain muscle as time passes, having less muscle in LManburg’s early days and having defined muscle now after all he’s been through, showing how he had to develop strength through all the pressure. It may not have been intentional, idk, but I like it. He also appears to age physically a lot from lmanburg to now, showing how he’s grown through time naturally and through all he’s been through
I'm so feral over this oh my god. The transitions, the expressions of everyone, the background colour shifting to white and back to grey, the character designs, all of it!! This is such a good show of his character and the song choice fits so well.

Wow, this animatic really puts a lot of things into perspective: that of tubbo’s. The has been through a lot, and had to just keep going, even if he felt like he couldn’t take any more, because he always has something to lose. Tommy, Ranboo, or Michael. He always is forced to choose a side, when he really wants nothing more than peace, but it just keeps getting ripped away from him.
I saw someone do a deep dive into Dream's character and how all he wants is peace, so he became the villain in the story to try and make that happen. To unite the server like it once was. Before l'manberg and before the wars. It really opened my eyes. Bc I couldn't understand the why of it. Why he seemed to suddenly change, why he seemed so hellbent on control. Now I do though.
I love the effect of how at first dream only has one string on tubbo and he tries to fight it, but then as he looks at l'manburg wrapped in strings he realizes that dream's always had complete control over his nation, and therefore him as well.
I keep watching this, I just can't get over how amazing this is! Small details! 1. During the exile scene his eye can't completely open! It's still healing! Realistically, an injury like that would take a while to heal! Love the detail! 1:36 2. Michal getting scared of his sudden seriousness, as a kid just enjoying life with your parents, seeing them get really serious out of no-where would scare you. 2:22 3. Tubbo wants to be serious about this situation, but he's still a kid, and shouldn't be dealing with these things. So he falters if only for a second about approaching quackity. 2:34 4. I know this one is kind of odd, but the choice to have the sword in Ranboo's chest slide around to create a sort of slash wound is great attention to detail! A lot of artists portray the injury from behind, but never explain the slash. Props! 2:55
Now, I could talk about how clearly and engagingly the plot is presented in this, or how well done and smooth the character expressions and movements are, but instead I'd like to talk about how absolutely jacked tubbo looks around 2:42
I love everyones designs so much! Tubbo, short and muscular, Ranboo with blank eyes that still look so kind and happy, Micheal looks so cute too, everythings just perfect!
Ok so I watched this when it first came out, and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since, so I just have to leave a comment. I think this is one of the best portrayals of C!Tubbo I have ever seen in an animatic. It captures everything he stands for, everything he has done, and everything he has been though so incredibly well. The kid has been through so much, pushed to take responsibility over and over again, watching everything he has worked for get destroyed over and over again, all of this + the paranoia that follows is just so well portrayed here, and I simply can't get over it. Incredible work! Loved every second of the animatic, and every rewatch. Amazing art as usual!
The funny thing is that Schlatt's first big crime was unilaterally exiling people against the desires of any advisors for political reasons. Sound familiar? Another crime? Sentencing a traitor to death without trial. Heck Tubbo was actively aiding a coup while Technoblade was living peacefully far from civilization. Tubbo "buckled" and "bent" by violating civil rights. Schlatt seemed like more of an asshole about it, destroying almost sacred symbols, but what serious crimes did he do that Tubbo didn't?

While he did suffer outside political pressure, his decision was ultimately the declaration of a dictator over the popular will. Tubbo's regime was not democratic, nor did it protect civil rights of the citizenry. You don't get a fair trial in Tubbo's L'Manberg, and if you get a any trial, the president is under no obligation to respect its ruling. He came into power through a coup and despite claiming that there would be an election in the future, he did not have any check on his power.
I loved the little parallel between Tubbo and Wilbur with the moment with the button, especially since he doesn't press it while the song goes "no mistakes". It kinda shows how he can't afford to lose his mind like Wilbur did, he has to be better, and that puts pressure on him.
I can’t explain how much I love this, what the heck!!! Not only was the animation PHENOMENAL, but the fact that it’s TUBBO really captures the intensity of the song. I love Encanto, I love the Dream SMP, I love this so much. This made my day for real, oh my goodness- 👀😳
I like the idea that Tubbo is actually more physically strong then we think, he just wears baggy clothes that hide his muscles. He has fought in wars since a young age and he's been through hell and back fighting for what he loves. Portraying him as a scrawny kid just wouldn't fit with the events and world they live in which follows the rule, "Only the strongest survive"
Finally, I’ve been wanting a Tubbo animatic that covered what he’s been through and put some spotlight and appreciation on him. This is SO WELL DONE. You did amazing and I absolutely adore this. An iconic animatic that will be coming to mind when I think of the dream smp. It’s top tier.
This is single-handedly the best Tubbo animatic I've ever seen. It perfectly describes his character since he always feels like he's the one who has to shoulder every problem but is also always the one forgotten.
I'm shaking, that's so cool. Ranboo's death was amazing, he really looks like he's dying (I don't know how to explain this but it's probably because of his pupils) And all the "drip, drip, drip" scenes!.. I really adore how you can always find right songs for the right characters.

I agree with you on the not liking animatic that much but Yooooo this Fandom somehow has the highest qualities in animatics 😭😭😭 like some of them can pass as professional storyboards for a full length animation. Everyone is incredible! This is mainly why I'm still here, the art community of Dreamsmp amazes me every single day
I am THROWN. 1. The storyboarding with this SONG?! Amazing. Just. Stellar. The rythm of it all makes me want to cry bcs it is so good. 2. The character desings and the SYMBOLISM. Techno and his design shift, Ranboo's ghost form, Tubbo's scar. Also loving how you make him so short, but though. And how he looks so young and at the same time there is exchaustion and anger of so many years on him. 3. The backgrounds. How the FRICK- Yes. Yes I love it. Too much really.
This is super spectacular. The expressions, the movements, how you put the events is so beautifully drawn and it really captures what c!tubbo was going through. You deserve the recognition!!
It's really cool how the way tubbo walks and, like, moves in general changes from the beginning of the video to during the flashback. At first his steps seem larger and more sure, with his arms swinging freely but still with purpose and his body overall taking up more space. But in the flashback, esp the first bit, he's shrinking in on himself, with his arms closer to his body and shoulders raised, and his movements are really skittish and frantic. The overall contrast between larger, slower movements and smaller quicker movements shows Tubbo's character development and changes in confidence level(at least that he shows) and is just really cool detail that you added. The whole video is just chock full of cool little details and it's amazing how much attention was put into even the smaller things
it's literally been almost a whole year since ive stopped watching dreamsmp streams but this animatic genuinely makes me want to go back to it bcs omg its so well made 😭 tubbo is such a good guy and c!tubbo even tho i don't know all of the recent shit from what i saw Seriously had to go through a lot by ppl that he thought he could trust
Oh yeah, if you left a year ago then there defiently has been lots for him since then. I used to not actually like Tubbos character simply because it seems like cc!Tubbo didn't have that much interest in role-playing/devolping his character. I felt that c!Tubbo has SO MUCH potential. And we finally got to see it within the last few months/year (thanks to Wilbur lol)
I feel this, I stopped watching dreamsmp at the beginning of the summer bc I felt that I was getting too emotionally affected by it. Surprise surprise, I see this animatic and although I’m not familiar with the ending stuff, I can still appreciate how well the lyrics match up with story beats. I’ve always felt that Tommy giving tubbo the presidency was him literally giving the responsibility he didn’t want to someone else, so it being lined up with the lyric “give her all the heavy things we can’t shoulder” was incredibly poignant, etc etc

i know next to nothing about dream smp so just speaking purely from an artistic viewpoint, this is genuinely one of the best animatics ive ever seen. you conveyed tubbo’s lore in such an understandable yet symbolic way; this is a side to his character i’ve never seen in other animatics or fanart. incredible work

There is a lot of comedy in the middle of the heavy stuff. For example: When president Tubbo and the Butcher Army was carrying Technoblade back to L'Manberg for trial (really just execution without trial), Techno rated the kidnapping 2 stars and Tubbo was begging for him to give him a better rating the whole way back.
Tubbo has been through so so much and he was just like a year older than tommy his tragedy almost always gets overlooked cause ppl are more focused on tommy. Like tommy suffered a lot but tubbo did as well he just wanted to prove himself and be useful and then after being used for sooooo long he finally was happy with ranboo and then ranboo died. And in 1:30 he was so conflicted and later everyone blamed him for exiling tommy but from realistic pov ofc he would've chosen a whole country over one man.
this is the first animatic that i've seen that actually shows tubbo's perspective on everything that doesn't focus on his relationship with tommy! it's amazing i love this so much!
This fits his character so well. He's been through so much, manipulated, lied to, betrayed, killed, forced into such heavy shit like being president and going to war and he just bottles it all up, pretending to be okay. He always takes care of others and always seem so positive. But you can tell that he's sad and hasn't been able to moved on from his past. I feel like most people don't realize that he's been through the same stuff as Tommy because he doesn't show it as much
I'm gonna be honest, I expected a short thing covering Ghostboo and how it affected Tubbo or something of the sort but holy crap you captured every moment amazingly. The scenes you used, especially in the Election and Pogtopia Arc was just brilliant. Absolutely astounding amount of work and effort you put into this. G freaking G mate.

i really liked how right after tubbo decided not to press the button, it showed ranboo being killed, which shows that tubbo probably blames himself for ranboo's death because it could have been avoided if he'd pressed the button
this is one of the best dsmp animatics i've seen in a WHILE. Oh my god. The parallels of Quackity and Tubbo under the Schlatt administration to Quackity and Tubbo in Las Nevadas- amazing work. This is poetic cinema.
just noticed tubbo lost his left ring finger, i only noticed it was missing and not a stylized choice on like the 5th rewatch. oh i love this so much, all the transitions, especially the way the ground tubbo is running on turning into a giant form of dream to show how hopeless his whole situation felt. amazing work!!
This is the only animatic that I've seen that captures the darkness of Tubbos charecter. Every single detail is on point and the song really captures the essence of this. Well done! :)
hey, just wanted you to know that i keep thinking about this animatic, even after two years. it's really well done and it captures the thing i loved most about dsmp and the thing that i hope continues to stick with me: the characters. their depth and flaws and their rollercoaster-like stories, as shown here with c!tubbo. anyway, thanks for giving me something to fondly come back to. it feels good. :)
You went above and beyond with this - I was stunned throughout the entire thing, and I didn't think it could get better, but my jaw literally dropped at Ranboo's death scene. Holy crap, that was intense! The way you incorporate the lines, the little details that all tie in, everything!!
One of the things I love about this is how well you portrayed the passage of time. With Schlatt, Tubbo looks so young, so much so that his horns haven't even grown in yet. As president, he has short horns, and the scars are so fresh he can't even open his eye. With the butcher army, enough time has passed that he can see with both eyes. At Snowchester, his hair is longer and messier. At Las Nevadas, his horns have grown longer, and he's noticeably buff. By the end, so exhausted and anguished, he looks years older than the kid in the first flashback.

I tried explaining how sad tubbo's character makes me to my brother, how he went from such a happy revolutionary to the guilty president to the tortured widow, but he didn't get it until I showed him this and he finally understood how much our goat boy has gone through. c!tubbo deserved a better life, but he still stands, and that's enough for now o7
Things I love about this -Tubbo's horns slowly growing -The 'no mistakes' where he chooses not to hit the button -The 'drip drip drip" of blood then "tick tick tick" of his facial expression/eyes moving -Tubbo's face when he has to exile Tommy, his expression screams "please know I have no choice" -The use of color in the firework -Every single thing about this

okay ik its such a minor detail and SO hard to notice unless u rly LOOK but i love love *love* how ctubbo's ear on his left/scarred side flops down a bit more then his right/unscarred ear. no idea if its intentional but idk, that attention 2 detail, subconscious or otherwise, js. makes me Rly Happy
Also another thing thats so minor unless you like pause to look (I didn't even notice until I paused like the 3rd replay) is that one of his fingers is missing on his right hand. It's something that you won't notice unless you actually look closely at c!tubbo to see

So many downplay or ignore Tubbos trauma and story. He fought in a war, was forced to work under the man who destroyed his home, made President as a child, lost his home again, and when he was finally feeling safe he lost his husband and son. Yet he tries so hard to be the stone cold person and brushes ot off like its nothing. Love C!Tubbo!
This animatic is honestly a perfect interpretation of how much stuff c!Tubbo has gone through, and how much ‘weight’ he still mentally deals with each day. The song and visuals give a good explanation to represent how Tubbo is seen as someone to throw your problems onto, someone vulnerable to control. But when it comes to his burdens, he is neglected and brushed off fairly easily. This was until he met his husband, Ranboo and their adopted son, Micheal. Gradually everything went downhill due to problems with las nevadas, and finally Ranboo was killed and Micheal were kidnapped by the same person who swore to be the ‘guardian’ of the server. Now not only is Tubbo consistently reminded of his husband’s death because of Ghostboo, but he’s also lost his son. (Which sucks big time because it looks like Ranboo and Micheal were really the only ‘breather’ for tubs.) Small details!! :D I noticed at the beginning that he has to take small deep breaths to control sudden outbursts, like anger (if that makes sense), which I thought was a really cool, little detail. Also another thing! When the song flows into a more calming tune, C!Tubbo tends to act more childish, which is usually common when people that have to carry heavy expectations (like adults for example) are put somewhere where they won’t be judged, where they’re free. C!Tubbo has it rough dude, that’s why I personally have been very invested in his lore. Big thank you for making this!! Flawless animatics as always!! :]
That moment with las nevadas and the nuke is so cool!! 2:51 The eyes squinting and the body language as he decides not to do it to the "no mistakes" line, its so perfect !! 1:17 His normal skin doesn't have his buttons buttoned right. So when he puts on the L'manburg outfit, the buttons are done perfectly so I love how this moment symbolizes how he had to grow up fast and appear more put together when he became the president.
Damn. C!Tubbo has been through so so much and I love his lore. This captures I perfectly, how much he’s been through and how that made he put at so many walls later on and made him a very paranoid character. Love it!
Honestly I never payed much attention to Tubbo's character in lore, I mean I know about what he does and what happened but I've mainly payed attention to the SBI. Also the animation captures things so well its actually described Tubbo's lore in like 3 minutes, obviously I know this is an animation so some things are seen a bit differently but great animation, I can't describe how well this is made.

Tubbo has honestly been through so much and he seems to be entirely neglected. This animatic really shows in a creative way just how much of a pawn he’s always been and what he’s been through. It’s amazing, as always!

They really just threw him into the presidency right in front of a pissed off anarchist Technoblade while standing on a pile of TNT with Wilbur's finger on the button. Then as proud president of a crater. His VP was a chaotic problem child and his "Sexy-tary of State" was fueled by vengeance and ambition. Tubbo was no cut out for that shit.
In the end, however, Tubbo was arguably more tyrannical than JSchlatt.
- He came into power during a coup,
- Unilaterally banished his vice president,
- Sent a military force to capture and execute someone publicly without trial,
- Ransacked a resident's house without any due process for the crime of knowing the wrong person,
- Planned to assassinate a foreign leader after inviting them to a peaceful celebration.
If you look at JSchlatt's execution of Tubbo, you'll note the Tubbo was actively aiding in a treasonous plot vs the democratically elected government, even building a tunnel system for them. Heck, right before his execution, he spoke the code phrase to tell Wilbur to blow up L'Manberg, presumably killing Technoblade and any other Pogtopia sympathizers in the crowd.

I just realized "I'm as tough as the crust of the earth is" actually has a lot of subtext to it! It's not one whole surface, but a bunch of broken pieces that bend and twist under their own pressure

This was soooo cool!! I don't feel like many people talk about the reality of c!Tubbos situation. He was manipulated and traumatized and lied to and brushes it off like he's not an actual kid that had to deal with responsibilities that he was forced into. His character is arguably one of the most interesting in the story. Incredible job as always!!!!
I do agree he has a very interesting and lore packed character, but there are a lot of people that talk about it 😂
It just happens that he's the one character that literally everyone talks him and only a few of them talk about others

Ill rephrase it a bit better here just for clarifications sake. o-o
I'm not so much as saying that Tubbos story is unsung but that the reality of everything hes been through, and how it effects him mentally, is not something that is as widely portrayed through out the commuinity in contrast to other characters (Such as Tommy's very prominent fear of Dream and how he works to overcome it).
In all fairness his character is very head strong and chooses to brush off his own problems in favor of protecting his family and being there for his friends so its hard to spot these aspects of him without actually intentionally looking for them.

He’s been through so much, and somehow he can still hold himself together, he was so sad when ranboo died then he couldn’t find micheal. He keeps getting crushed by burdens and at the end he just is so overwhelmed he just explodes with emotions
hopefully, one day, we will see the nukes start a better Smp era.. preferably with less "*whoosh, you sad now*"

this really puts into perspective how much tubbo as a character has gone through. From being killed by techno and reliving that moment in his dreams repeatedly to tommy's exile, losing his husband to the man who vowed to protect the server, seeing ghostboo everyday as a horrible reminder of his loss, the threat of losing his son to the same man who killed ranboo. this was an amazing animation, also. tubbo's and ranboo's design is amazing!!

A lot of people focus on Wilbur's stress during the L'Manburg war, slowly going insane, but Tubbo endured so much more, stretched between two sides. The poor guys has somehow held out through all of it, he really deserves a break.

i really like how tubbo's character design evolves in this, things like his eye healing and how he starts to get Buff as more pressure gets applied because he like, sees a need to be physically strong as well to protect his family. excellent touch to an excellent animation

I went through every emotion watching this I swear. This song goes perfectly with Tubbo's character. Ranboo's death and the "drip, drip, drip" parts literally had me sobbing yet in awe at how perfect they were. Absolutely fantastic!!

As c!Tommy said when he thought that c!Tubbo was about to get killed by c!Dream, c!Tubbo wasn't just a side kick, he had a full fleshed out story. I think that's what I really like about the DSMP, everyone has an interesting story to tell and they're all connected in a way. +Respect for c!Tubbo

@@hgjhdsgjgkjkhhh I think it's the other way around. tommy's got more tragic moments such as exile, temporarily killed, and being told tubbo was going to die, but tubbo's story was more traumatic because he was forced, as president, to exile his best friend, his other best friend(ranboo) was killed and imprisoned, he was originally going to be executed, and dream told him that he was just a pawn all along and said he was going to kill him. there was also a moment where he thought Tommy had died so he basically lost everyone closest to him since ranboo was in prison, I think, I'm not sure

I love how you gave Tubbo more muscle definition (at least for Snowchester/current Tubbo) than he usually gets in other animatics, it may be a small detail but I like it, for one because he has more muscle than he’s depicted as happens and also he appears to gain muscle as time passes, having less muscle in LManburg’s early days and having defined muscle now after all he’s been through, showing how he had to develop strength through all the pressure. It may not have been intentional, idk, but I like it. He also appears to age physically a lot from lmanburg to now, showing how he’s grown through time naturally and through all he’s been through

Wow, this animatic really puts a lot of things into perspective: that of tubbo’s. The has been through a lot, and had to just keep going, even if he felt like he couldn’t take any more, because he always has something to lose. Tommy, Ranboo, or Michael. He always is forced to choose a side, when he really wants nothing more than peace, but it just keeps getting ripped away from him.
I saw someone do a deep dive into Dream's character and how all he wants is peace, so he became the villain in the story to try and make that happen. To unite the server like it once was. Before l'manberg and before the wars. It really opened my eyes. Bc I couldn't understand the why of it. Why he seemed to suddenly change, why he seemed so hellbent on control. Now I do though.
Holy cow this just made me realize how truly tragic Tubbo's character is.

I love the effect of how at first dream only has one string on tubbo and he tries to fight it, but then as he looks at l'manburg wrapped in strings he realizes that dream's always had complete control over his nation, and therefore him as well.
I keep watching this, I just can't get over how amazing this is!
Small details!
1. During the exile scene his eye can't completely open! It's still healing! Realistically, an injury like that would take a while to heal! Love the detail! 1:36
2. Michal getting scared of his sudden seriousness, as a kid just enjoying life with your parents, seeing them get really serious out of no-where would scare you. 2:22
3. Tubbo wants to be serious about this situation, but he's still a kid, and shouldn't be dealing with these things. So he falters if only for a second about approaching quackity. 2:34
4. I know this one is kind of odd, but the choice to have the sword in Ranboo's chest slide around to create a sort of slash wound is great attention to detail! A lot of artists portray the injury from behind, but never explain the slash. Props! 2:55
Now, I could talk about how clearly and engagingly the plot is presented in this, or how well done and smooth the character expressions and movements are, but instead I'd like to talk about how absolutely jacked tubbo looks around 2:42

I love everyones designs so much! Tubbo, short and muscular, Ranboo with blank eyes that still look so kind and happy, Micheal looks so cute too, everythings just perfect!
Ok so I watched this when it first came out, and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since, so I just have to leave a comment. I think this is one of the best portrayals of C!Tubbo I have ever seen in an animatic. It captures everything he stands for, everything he has done, and everything he has been though so incredibly well. The kid has been through so much, pushed to take responsibility over and over again, watching everything he has worked for get destroyed over and over again, all of this + the paranoia that follows is just so well portrayed here, and I simply can't get over it. Incredible work! Loved every second of the animatic, and every rewatch. Amazing art as usual!

Tubbo "buckled" and "bent" by violating civil rights. Schlatt seemed like more of an asshole about it, destroying almost sacred symbols, but what serious crimes did he do that Tubbo didn't?

You don't get a fair trial in Tubbo's L'Manberg, and if you get a any trial, the president is under no obligation to respect its ruling. He came into power through a coup and despite claiming that there would be an election in the future, he did not have any check on his power.
I loved the little parallel between Tubbo and Wilbur with the moment with the button, especially since he doesn't press it while the song goes "no mistakes". It kinda shows how he can't afford to lose his mind like Wilbur did, he has to be better, and that puts pressure on him.
I can’t explain how much I love this, what the heck!!! Not only was the animation PHENOMENAL, but the fact that it’s TUBBO really captures the intensity of the song. I love Encanto, I love the Dream SMP, I love this so much. This made my day for real, oh my goodness- 👀😳

I like the idea that Tubbo is actually more physically strong then we think, he just wears baggy clothes that hide his muscles. He has fought in wars since a young age and he's been through hell and back fighting for what he loves. Portraying him as a scrawny kid just wouldn't fit with the events and world they live in which follows the rule, "Only the strongest survive"
Finally, I’ve been wanting a Tubbo animatic that covered what he’s been through and put some spotlight and appreciation on him. This is SO WELL DONE. You did amazing and I absolutely adore this. An iconic animatic that will be coming to mind when I think of the dream smp. It’s top tier.

This is super spectacular. The expressions, the movements, how you put the events is so beautifully drawn and it really captures what c!tubbo was going through. You deserve the recognition!!
It's really cool how the way tubbo walks and, like, moves in general changes from the beginning of the video to during the flashback. At first his steps seem larger and more sure, with his arms swinging freely but still with purpose and his body overall taking up more space. But in the flashback, esp the first bit, he's shrinking in on himself, with his arms closer to his body and shoulders raised, and his movements are really skittish and frantic. The overall contrast between larger, slower movements and smaller quicker movements shows Tubbo's character development and changes in confidence level(at least that he shows) and is just really cool detail that you added. The whole video is just chock full of cool little details and it's amazing how much attention was put into even the smaller things
it's literally been almost a whole year since ive stopped watching dreamsmp streams but this animatic genuinely makes me want to go back to it bcs omg its so well made 😭 tubbo is such a good guy and c!tubbo even tho i don't know all of the recent shit from what i saw Seriously had to go through a lot by ppl that he thought he could trust
Oh yeah, if you left a year ago then there defiently has been lots for him since then. I used to not actually like Tubbos character simply because it seems like cc!Tubbo didn't have that much interest in role-playing/devolping his character. I felt that c!Tubbo has SO MUCH potential. And we finally got to see it within the last few months/year (thanks to Wilbur lol)
I feel this, I stopped watching dreamsmp at the beginning of the summer bc I felt that I was getting too emotionally affected by it. Surprise surprise, I see this animatic and although I’m not familiar with the ending stuff, I can still appreciate how well the lyrics match up with story beats. I’ve always felt that Tommy giving tubbo the presidency was him literally giving the responsibility he didn’t want to someone else, so it being lined up with the lyric “give her all the heavy things we can’t shoulder” was incredibly poignant, etc etc

Dsmp fanbase is full of great artists/musicians/cosplayers/etc :D only problem is that theres a lot of stuff you have to know to fully understand the lore behind it
There is a lot of comedy in the middle of the heavy stuff. For example: When president Tubbo and the Butcher Army was carrying Technoblade back to L'Manberg for trial (really just execution without trial), Techno rated the kidnapping 2 stars and Tubbo was begging for him to give him a better rating the whole way back.
Tubbo has been through so so much and he was just like a year older than tommy his tragedy almost always gets overlooked cause ppl are more focused on tommy. Like tommy suffered a lot but tubbo did as well he just wanted to prove himself and be useful and then after being used for sooooo long he finally was happy with ranboo and then ranboo died. And in 1:30 he was so conflicted and later everyone blamed him for exiling tommy but from realistic pov ofc he would've chosen a whole country over one man.
this is the first animatic that i've seen that actually shows tubbo's perspective on everything that doesn't focus on his relationship with tommy! it's amazing i love this so much!
This fits his character so well. He's been through so much, manipulated, lied to, betrayed, killed, forced into such heavy shit like being president and going to war and he just bottles it all up, pretending to be okay.
He always takes care of others and always seem so positive.
But you can tell that he's sad and hasn't been able to moved on from his past.
I feel like most people don't realize that he's been through the same stuff as Tommy because he doesn't show it as much
Let's not even add on the pressures of having and raising a kid. Like, it may be one of your happiest moments, but that is insanity all on it's own.
It’s funny how Tubbo evolved, how he was used, how he was a wholesome little bee boi and he was twisted into a leader who exiled Tommy.
I'm gonna be honest, I expected a short thing covering Ghostboo and how it affected Tubbo or something of the sort but holy crap you captured every moment amazingly. The scenes you used, especially in the Election and Pogtopia Arc was just brilliant. Absolutely astounding amount of work and effort you put into this. G freaking G mate.

just noticed tubbo lost his left ring finger, i only noticed it was missing and not a stylized choice on like the 5th rewatch. oh i love this so much, all the transitions, especially the way the ground tubbo is running on turning into a giant form of dream to show how hopeless his whole situation felt. amazing work!!
This is the only animatic that I've seen that captures the darkness of Tubbos charecter. Every single detail is on point and the song really captures the essence of this.

You went above and beyond with this - I was stunned throughout the entire thing, and I didn't think it could get better, but my jaw literally dropped at Ranboo's death scene. Holy crap, that was intense! The way you incorporate the lines, the little details that all tie in, everything!!

I wish I didn't notice this detail because I'm now crying.
One of the things I love about this is how well you portrayed the passage of time. With Schlatt, Tubbo looks so young, so much so that his horns haven't even grown in yet. As president, he has short horns, and the scars are so fresh he can't even open his eye. With the butcher army, enough time has passed that he can see with both eyes. At Snowchester, his hair is longer and messier. At Las Nevadas, his horns have grown longer, and he's noticeably buff. By the end, so exhausted and anguished, he looks years older than the kid in the first flashback.
omfg, this is so good. like the dynamic shots and composition is literally insane- this is the sort of animatic that would have made me join the dsmp fandom in the first place like--- its so good
Dude this is insane, honestly c!Tubbo’s lore is so underrated. This video is so underrated. For some reason I find it satisfying to watch. Keep up the great work!

I tried explaining how sad tubbo's character makes me to my brother, how he went from such a happy revolutionary to the guilty president to the tortured widow, but he didn't get it until I showed him this and he finally understood how much our goat boy has gone through. c!tubbo deserved a better life, but he still stands, and that's enough for now o7
The way you portayed all his different arcs and emotions, transitions between different scenes and screens is incredible! Amazing job 👏

okay ik its such a minor detail and SO hard to notice unless u rly LOOK but i love love *love* how ctubbo's ear on his left/scarred side flops down a bit more then his right/unscarred ear. no idea if its intentional but idk, that attention 2 detail, subconscious or otherwise, js. makes me Rly Happy
Also another thing thats so minor unless you like pause to look (I didn't even notice until I paused like the 3rd replay) is that one of his fingers is missing on his right hand. It's something that you won't notice unless you actually look closely at c!tubbo to see

So many downplay or ignore Tubbos trauma and story. He fought in a war, was forced to work under the man who destroyed his home, made President as a child, lost his home again, and when he was finally feeling safe he lost his husband and son. Yet he tries so hard to be the stone cold person and brushes ot off like its nothing. Love C!Tubbo!
This animatic is honestly a perfect interpretation of how much stuff c!Tubbo has gone through, and how much ‘weight’ he still mentally deals with each day.
The song and visuals give a good explanation to represent how Tubbo is seen as someone to throw your problems onto, someone vulnerable to control. But when it comes to his burdens, he is neglected and brushed off fairly easily. This was until he met his husband, Ranboo and their adopted son, Micheal. Gradually everything went downhill due to problems with las nevadas, and finally Ranboo was killed and Micheal were kidnapped by the same person who swore to be the ‘guardian’ of the server. Now not only is Tubbo consistently reminded of his husband’s death because of Ghostboo, but he’s also lost his son. (Which sucks big time because it looks like Ranboo and Micheal were really the only ‘breather’ for tubs.)

I noticed at the beginning that he has to take small deep breaths to control sudden outbursts, like anger (if that makes sense), which I thought was a really cool, little detail. Also another thing! When the song flows into a more calming tune, C!Tubbo tends to act more childish, which is usually common when people that have to carry heavy expectations (like adults for example) are put somewhere where they won’t be judged, where they’re free.
C!Tubbo has it rough dude, that’s why I personally have been very invested in his lore.

That moment with las nevadas and the nuke is so cool!! 2:51 The eyes squinting and the body language as he decides not to do it to the "no mistakes" line, its so perfect !!
1:17 His normal skin doesn't have his buttons buttoned right. So when he puts on the L'manburg outfit, the buttons are done perfectly so I love how this moment symbolizes how he had to grow up fast and appear more put together when he became the president.
Damn. C!Tubbo has been through so so much and I love his lore. This captures I perfectly, how much he’s been through and how that made he put at so many walls later on and made him a very paranoid character. Love it!

Honestly I never payed much attention to Tubbo's character in lore, I mean I know about what he does and what happened but I've mainly payed attention to the SBI. Also the animation captures things so well its actually described Tubbo's lore in like 3 minutes, obviously I know this is an animation so some things are seen a bit differently but great animation, I can't describe how well this is made.
As Dsmp season one came to an end and tubbo was going to the nuke the ‘no mistakes’ part was at the forefront of my mind. So good!!!!

Oh this is important. I hated the song in movie bc it was poorly presented visually. But here, with the full backstory of manipulation and struggle, with your delivery I actually felt the narrative of the song! Incredible work

Gosh this gave me chills. This animatic really shows how interesting cTubbo's story really is! This is honestly just amazing. I can't find the words to describe this but it's just perfect!! The emotions, the compositions of each scene and the song just all fit in perfectly! You've done such an amazing job on this, it's truly a masterpiece :))
