My husband's nurse told him to take Claritin the day before he received the timed arm shot of medicine to boost his blood count and then the day of, and the day after and he swears by this - no more bone pain! Maybe this could help others who experience bone pain!

Hope you are doing awesome. My husband has just completed 12 chemo cycles , fortunately apart from sore mouth and diarrhea after 3rd chemo onwards and severe weakness he is doing ok. Of course he lost all his hair but it does not give him any psychological effect, though. And just to get more educated we watched your video. It will be helpful to other chemo patients. Take care.

Love you for this!! 🙌❤️🌸. I'm unfortunately and very reluctantly about to begin 🤬 chemo (5 months!!) 😖😤😓 and couldn't seem to find any hope, assurance or much information about side effects which is my most prevalent concern so thank you...may you continue to be a light until others and be well!

The baths are wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend doing the baths the first 3 days at a min. so chemo day and the 2 following days it really seems to help rid your body of the bioproducts. I also do the baths after my neulasta shot once the body aches kick in...mine are primarily in my back and the baths really help chill my back out and calm me down.

I never had mouth sores, but I was told Biotene helped if I ever got them. I wore a essential oils necklace with peppermint in it and it helped greatly. I would spray lavender on my bed to help me sleep more soundly. My treatment was ABVD, and it was week after treatment that I would feel horrible.

Its my fifth day after my first infusion. And im starting to feel like myself again. 😊. We receive medicine for nausea for the first days and throughout. But the worst for me was headaches, pain around the head ,eyes, light, noise sensitivity and fatigue. Tired and hungry . Have to eat small meals throughout the day.

Nausea is a huge problem for me, even with taking Zofran. And the Zofran causes sever constipation in me, so I'll only try to take the Zofran on the worst days.
I'm curious about the bathing procedure. Does it help with the chemo odor?
That's one of my biggest issues is the smell my body is leaching from chemo. My daughter can barely stand to be around me and is constantly opening doors and windows to air out the smell. And it doesn't seem to matter how many times I bathe, within 5 minutes of after being dry, I stink again. And it's such a strong odor, that it makes me nauseous. It also makes other strong odors very difficult to be around. Like cooking odors. So, it's making taking in food difficult, too. I'm pretty bad about getting enough water into me, too.

@@tiaslays255 - Don't freak out. Not everyone experiences the same thing. Some people get diarrhea real bad and some don't smell. I knew someone going through treatments and she didn't smell at all.
I'm almost a year and half past the last of my treatments. Just focus on getting through them. Make that your goal.
Ginger chews (in various flavors), Liquid IV (powder poured into water), some kind of high protein drink for the days you just can't eat, and crackers. I ate a lot of cheezits. Lol. Not very healthy, but I wasn't eating and needed to put something into my stomach at times. These are what got me through it. On the good days, between treatments, I tried to eat better / healthier. But I avoided foods that caused gas. Especially spicy foods, beans, heavy meats, sodas, milk/dairy, etc.
Just listen to your body. It'll let you know what you can or can't eat or drink.

Take 400mg twice a day of Alpha Lipoic Acid. I use the Spring Valley brand at Walmart. There are studies and it helps. I barely have any neuropathy in my hands and my feet are much better. Do your own research so you can apply it to your situation. Each capsule is 200mg so I take 3, twice a day and 4 day of chemo and just after. Hope this helps.
