My father built the aqueduct for the Glen Canyon Dam. I had first grade there. I nearly drowned in that pool. Someone pulled me in by my feet, while dangling my legs. A week later I was getting lessons. I jumped off the board, onto my teachers collar bone. I broke his shoulder. I didn't get to swim for years. The workers kids were a rough bunch.

Group Photo at 2:32 - Ladies in white, front row: Judy Fox '62 (2nd from left) & Elsie (Robertson) Swapp, mother of Bob Swapp '72 (4th from left, no glasses). Bob will show photo to his mom to identify group and individuals (Judy couldn't add any info, except she thinks this was taken while she was working for NPS-GLCA). Guessing photo taken circa 1965.

The gentleman in the plaid shirt to Judy’s left looks like “Zug” Bennett (daughters Trudy and Debbie) and to her right I believe might be Roe Barney (son Tim and daughter Mitzie).

You’re right about Leon Swapp and Everett Wichman (gave me my very first ticket when he was a bureau ranger. My dad, Gene Sr, is 5th from the left, front row. To his left was Mr Jordain ( can’t remember first name). At the very left with his face partially hidden is William Leach. 2nd row, second from the right is TJ Vinson and I believe the man in the last row, 4th from the left is Rick Parsons. And I believe the guy in the polka dot shirt in the back row is Gordon Penrod.

The American Legion guys at 2.52 that I can remember names are: First row 2nd from left is Hank the haircut guy, 4th from the left is my dad and next to him is Bob Kirner. Back row, first from the left is Ralph Cecil, 3rd from left is TJ Vinson. I do recognize the rest of them but can’t remember names.
