I want to say thank you for showing some of the difficulties and unplanned space enhancements that you go through while making your bot. So many people build bots and make it look like it went together and they never had any unplanned side projects, like spending 30 minutes trying to separate two pieces.
You should get an arbor press, they're quite useful! Also, nice job with the design!
Hey, Thanks! And yeah, building in an apartment has limitations. I'm happy not now have a maker space, though.
Btw, I still have like 4-5 cuddles chassis laying around, printed on different materials. I haven't forgotten about that video, I've just been busy with work (hence the mad build of 3 robots in 1 week for CIRC). Eventually I'll make that, thanks again for kindly providing the cad & a Chassis...
Robert Cowan are you in team copperhead is battlebots?
@@harrukawwa You should check out my UA-cam channel, I have several Copperhead videos. I was also seen driving the bot during the last fight ;-)
ok
This looks dangerous! Hopefully it does well in competition!
Awesome job! And great video
Good to see you're still building! -Drew from NRC Club
Awesome!
Thing looks dangerous! Awesome video! Good luck on winning Bot Brawl!
@splash toons Wait, YOU WATCH THIS STUFF?! YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE A REAL MAN! (Nate Diaz)
@splash toons I've always wanted to make my own antweight combat robot for a couple of years now. I've always wanted to compete in an antweight competition. (Nate Diaz)
The Chassis was printed using carbon fiber infill nylon by www.endbots.com. The material is awesome. Same guy who makes the Dual channel ESCs, too. I am kinda unofficially sponsored by Jeff over at Endbots, and if enough of you guys check out the links and support him maybe it can turn into a more official sponsorship :P. Cheers!
Awesome your really creative
Nice man.what a god
Cool video.
Cool bot design
I'm also competing at CIRC, looking forward to seeing this bot and the Krave
Cant wait to see it in action in Peoria!
An awesome pyramid!
I was trying to get registered for Illinois bot brawl, but I'm going home to visit my parents this week instead. Do you know of any more tournaments in the great lakes region that may not be posted on buildersdb? The ones coming up in PA are just a bit far to travel to.
do you have the 3d files for those wheels that use the lego rubber?
Edit: found the whole bot on thingiverse
UPDATE: File for chassis and drum now available for download here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3793747
I like the surface finish. Which filament are you using?
Chassis was Markforged Onyx. Nylon based filament with chopped carbon fiber mixed in. Ordered the print from EndBots.
Awesome! What site/application do you use to program the controller?
The super jank T6 HobbyKing software. It's crap but the controller is only 30 bucks...
Good luck finishing two other bots in a week
Next thing to do is to make it bigger (about 250 lbs in mass) and participate in battlebots
*When you find out that triangles are the strongest shape*
When I saw this pyramid unibody with everything inside press fit: Durability. Durability beyond my wildest imagination.
How did you print the drum hub? What material and infill %?
20% info ABS it's going to be a disaster
You said that last year and it didn’t shatter. The thing that broke was the motor itself and the axle.
Hey what's that blade at 6:38 for ;)
Did you give him one of Phantom’s blades?
@@Lumakid100 maaaaybe
How much was it to have that frame printed. What is a good starter cad program that is free. I am broke LOL.
Get started with Fusion 360- it is free for Hobby use. To get a quote for whatever chassis you design, try end bots .com. I can't remember how much this onyx print was... around $50 I believe, but not sure honestly.
Thank you soo much I already made ms first robot.
What materials is it made of?
3D printed nylon and carbon fiber
Sorry I am new and want to ask what you mean about the bot having to have an LED for an active weapon. is active weapon a weapon that does not have a blocker of sorts to stop it from spinning?
No, an active weapon is any weapon/spinner that could hurt the event organizers if they try to grab the robot thinking the robot is turned off when it's not. Most robots except for wedges/rams will need an LED.
Ok thanks so if I build a gripper Bot would it need an LED?
@@MichaelJurcek Depends on the judge, but I would add one to be safe - if your weapon has powered motion you should have an LED
Ok thanks
Danger zone destroyed Dangerzone?
when your next video will come
Your're a creative guy, make a harpoon battle-bot(also btw I'm not a freaky fish guy)
what is the weight of future killer
1 lb
0:05 The Letter F From 36 Days Of Type
Are you in BotBrawl2019? I couldnt find this bot on the registered bots page.
Yes. I just registered a placeholder, at time of registration I didn't know what I'd build
@@CarterHurd Awesome, Ill see you there, Im bringing Shenzhou.
is krave monster and danger zone coming back or is that replacing danger zone?
or is that the new danger zone?
Krave is coming back (totally new one), and this replaces danger zone
@@CarterHurd im guessing like the last krave?
@@nhtheintrovert5679 It's now a lifter. And carbon fiber...
@@CarterHurd oh, huh, hope it does well!
Name it Danger zone to the 4th power cause it's a pyramid
Looks awesome. Btw, is the bot’s name literally “FUTURE KILLER”? Because is so that’s one of the coolest robot names I ever heard.
Yeah that's the name, glad you like
It's taken from a very good Rayne longboard. If you find my electric longboard build, it's that one
@@CarterHurd it suits the shape of the robot too
Is krave not going this year or is this taking "best or nothing"'s slot?
This is taking the best or nothing slot. The Krave is being built now. It's now a lifter. It's going to be very competitive: less foam, more carbon fiber, more speed
@@CarterHurd I think the foam counter intuitively is what made it so competitive in the first place.
@@mrsqueakyvoice97 I don't disagree. The project was a bit of a back and forth regarding materials, you'll see
YEAAAH! See you at Bot Brawl!
Quick question: can it drive on its sides, or will it get stuck?
It can "demonstrate controlled motion" while on its side...
Why dies this design remind of the the UK Vader
Actually pyramidhead
(I would name it like that)
Reminds me of Vader from robot wars
Xterminator
Will crave compet
If I build an all new one in time
Ok
@@CarterHurd Must be hard to have such a fan favorite that no one will ever let you stop building.
@@xKatjaxPurrsx I have a score to settle with krave anyway~
Dude, tone down the mixing on the royalty free hip hop. Mixing man, level your stuff.
Why don’t you use bytes for spinner
What is wrong with u
Find noobs and waste them.
First
You trying to bust my eardrums or something, going from speaking softly to blaring loud generic crap "music" without warning... if I ever watch your channel again it'll be with volume off
Sorry. This video was made years ago, hopefully my shit audio has improved marginally since then
