I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
this was one of the most beautiful mvs I’ve seen lately. I love the fact that they went for a dystopian theme. The mv is like a wholeass movie! IU and V acted so naturally ❤ not to mention, how beautiful IU sounds!

The first time I saw this mv, i teared up. Both the song and the mv are so incredibly beautiful! The whole mv is so beautifully shot, and the story is so heartbreaking. The strong emotions on their faces and IU’s voice, I couldn’t help but tear up.
This MV was directed by Uhm Tae Hwa who directed Concrete Utopia which was South Korea’s International film entry for the upcoming Oscars

This is one of IU best songs and the Video is one of the best videos I've seen. Her voice/song pairs beautifully with the video. Both I.U. & V's acting skills off the charts. From the very first moment, this video made me want to watch more. I felt very emotional and curious. Why is V's eye so cloudy? They made us feel so happy in the dinner/wedding scenes. The ominous cube. Realizing is not just one cube. There were so many cubes to fight. I.U. always taking care of him. V, stepping up, grabbing the pipe, to protect her and trying to beat away the cube. His Acting was phenomenal. They destroyed us during the ending. I.U. covering his eye, and the last tear. I was so emotional. I died, seeing them being taken away on camera and then the camera dying too. Me crying and screaming NOOOOOO ~ Love is suppose to win! Seeing clothes falling from the sky, my heart broke in two watching Unconditional Love.
I'm now listening to love wins all again and as soon as it started I had tears in my eyes it's so emotional qnd that wqt I love also like I said before these two need to act in a kdrama with a similar concept to the mv.
Also IU's voice is amazing and she I mý ult fav female idol
It's Such a emotional yet awe inspiring message in the lyrics which is love conquers all no matter the ending.
Also I cried as soon as the song started qnd get tears in my eyes whenever I watch the mv and hear the song
I always cry when I watch this. It's not just because it's such an epic wonderful song, but that combined with the video and its message of love wins all despite the persecution of society (the cube and the people in black) who keeps telling them they can't be together. Yes, V is blind in one eye so IU covered the other eye so V can't see the horror when they are incinerated while IU fiercely faced the cube until their last moment.

That square box seems to be the entity that destroys those marginalized people and that camcorder seems to show people in a world where they are not discriminated against
It’s looking through the present they wish it could be. It can’t be the past because the background still has a pile of clothes? It’s like despite how ruined the world is, they still can choose to find happiness within the sadness of the situation. I don’t get why some people think it’s the past.
IU tone and vocals are just so pure. Never fails to amaze me
Fun fact, IU was really sick while recording the song and her throat was in a really poor condition but she still went through and delivered

The Cube represents society, it is chasing every individual who doesn't fit the standards of society. Here V is half blind, IU is deaf and mute. So they are running from oppression of society. The world is controled by these standards of perfection to the point that people in the world put masks on when they don't have make-up or when they feel inssecure or they wear hats when their hair is messy. The MV is a dystopian view of our society. While they are trying to hide in this abondonned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of confort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and push them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. Even if they died at the end, they loved each other deeply, it shows that even if society is oppressive, people can love each other and they can find their soulmate even if they are not "normal or perfect" to the eyes of some many others. The pile of clothes is like from Spring Day, these people died because of injustice, but they deserved love, so the pile of clothes can look very gloomy and sad, but as in Spring Day MV if you don't forget them you can seem them happy and free where they are right now...

V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤😢😢

I can’t end it either. I can’t stop watching the mv and reviews. Luckily they made a good behind the scenes, so I can watch that, too. When you said “that’s love”. Yeah that effect really got me, too. I believe they are portraying true love. Is my sadness because I thought I shared it once, over 40 years ago but he was two-timing me from almost the beginning. He said he’d “fight dragons” for me. So I thought of that with the cube. But this “movie” wasn’t about that. I just kept watching and rethinking ideas about conformity, about seeing the best in people, about living life to the fullest right up to the end. I just had so many ideas.

The cube 'Nemo' represents the discrimination towards marginalized people (symbolized in IU being mute and Taehyung being blind in one eye).
