Probably because they’re just like tracers/art stealers-they can’t draw (or they can, but like Butch, very poorly) so they spend time bothering other artists by trying to “fix” their art.
@@fulgatus KNUCKLES IS RED, NEITHER WHITE OR BLACK! JUST DRAW WHAT U WANNA DRAW AND DONT '' F I X'' OTHERS ART! THANKS!! Let the People in the back hear it
"I thought knuckles is black coded" = "I decided a character is black because he meets stereorypes I associate with black people but I'm going to act like it's progressive"
"I thought Knuckles is black coded" = "He has dreads, wears rastafarian colors, lives on an island, and was originally going to have a Jamaican accent".
The worst thing about this is that she apologized to the black people who scolded her about the art and did not apologize to the artist who she offended
An old friend of mine told me this "They either pity the black people like they're some kind of helpless people who can only be saved by them or just desperately trying to get a black friend like they're trophies" and now I know why he was so cynical and angry most of the time.
Hes right unfortunately, saying this as a white guy Hate to sound biased but a lot of left leaning white people view minorities as helpless animals on the endangered species list, or so i have observed extensively throughout my life If they arent treating you like a normal ass person i wouldnt recommend talking to them is what i tell my friends
Sometimes I see people “fixing” characters they presume to be caucasian simply because they are light skinned, when in actuality the characters could be asian or part of some other ethnicity/race/cultural minority that happens to be light-skinned. Really shows the extent of their close mindedness.
No offense, but you are aware just because an artist is japanese that does not make the characters they draw japanese exist right? Also blasians exist.
Just the phrase "Fixed your shit for you" makes my skin crawl, let alone the fact that this person thought that "fixing" someone else's art without their permission was okay in the first place.
Slightly more tan than the rest of them is more appropriate in my opinion the reason for is because that fucker only sleeps outside all the time even during the day that's my reason.
My reasoning for why she thought he would be black is because the echidnas in the sonic world are very tribal and tribal are usually depicted with dark skin tones from what I've seen I don't really know much about tribes so that's my reason or maybe she just thinks knuckles radiates the energy of black person I don't know people are weird sometimes. P.S. If anyone thinks I'm trying to defend her I'm not this is just a little theory to find a reason art "fixing" in my opinion is the equivalent of telling someone who hard on something fuck you that ain't right I can do it better all straight to there face if you say you just wanted to do your own version fine then that's just your harmless view of how you would make it look but saying straight up that "fixed it" implies what the original artist did wasn't good or not good enough that in my opinion what it is and the same goes for that "blank in 60fps" bullshit high frames in animation dosen't always make it look better like yeah you think it looks cool but are taking in the small little details that put in and add for you notice and absorb with lower frame rate no not really when you try to make things move at high pace things get lost two of those things are timing and detail for you to take in like in spiderverse the low frame rate is to copy the kinda choppy but oddly sooth way some characters are drawn comic books that makes head instantly fill in the blanks of how they're moving while showing progress of Miles's character if listen to some interviews by with the creators of the movie they mention a detail the more and more miles learns to be spiderman the higher the frame rate got showing a visible form of progress in him that it's becoming natural and fluid high frame rate only works as a must in video games because they're tied to how fast and good the game runs because all actions in a video game are tied to an animation that has too run at certain frames to keep going anyways that's the end of the really long comment.
Yeah but Knuckles was suppose to be Jamaican in the game. His shoes and dreads were meant to be a Jamaican reference and he even was suppose to get a Jamaican accent.
The thing that angered me the most is how she worded her post: “Fixed your *shit* for you”. Lol, really, “shit”? There did you find it? When you looked into the mirror and saw yourself?
Oh my God, the person who "fixed" Knuckles actually wrote in her apology that "shit" was meant as a synonym for "stuff". I just can't with these lying bitches. 😭
Art Fixer: Sees an east asian character Art Fixer: OH NO THEY'RE WHITE *Makes them black* Art Fixer: Fixed it! Character Designer : They're not even white....
DO YOU MEAN TO SAY THAT PEOPLE WHO AREN'T BLACK AREN'T AUTOMATICALLY WHITE? I'm yelling because that's how the internet is now, you're either white or black, all other races should be deleted for "diversity" purposes.
She's literally the definition of white Savior "I fixed something that I have no clue about by changing art that's not even mine... Where's my praise and 'I'm not racist' pin?"
Yes, I think that's a much better term than "SJW," since the latter term is used more when discrediting minorities or pushing strawman arguments. Mysticmarry very much comes across as a white savior.
Now if she would only just make her own art work on Knuckles, even the chick who drew black elephants did that, making her own art work (still saying fixed which is wrong), she would be infinitely more respected
Absolutely this. It's always the privileged white saviors who don't have a clue about what actual racism is trying to speak for black people when we were never offended by this artwork to begin with. There are more important issues to be worried about than a drawing.
As a white person, I hate people like that too and try to not get into things I don't understand. I'm sorry if it seems ignorant but I'm trying to learn about it instead of making assumptions and offending them anyway.
Right! And even if he DID have a race, it would more likely be Mayan or Native Australian, since Echidnas are from Australia and Mayan culture influenced a lot of aspects of his tribe’s history
I mean dreadlocks only for black people??..Since when dreadlocks own by black people...Meanwhile , in my place native and indigenous people who is brown colour use dreadlocks to show their pride and identity....
Right?? Like if you’re humanizing him how about... Making him look like whatever the fuck you damn well please because it’s your opinion and *he’s an echidna*
I have a few problems with fixers that """fix""" art by making the characters black: - They're literally used as freaking diversity tokens. "Your art is too white, here, have a black." What the fuck? - The fixers think being white is wrong and that being black is righting said wrong. They're "fighting" racism by being racists, wow. - Most of the time, they "fix" art by desexualizing the character, and said character is often made black. Are the fixers implying being black is not sexy/attractive? That's just... I don't have words to convey how utterly disgusted I am, actually. Edit : Gonna add that it really looks like these fixers think black people NEED their """help""". Black people are not some weak creature that needs "saving" by """fixing""" art, ffs.
THIS as a black person myself I honestly do like seeing people redraw a character to look like them it's totally fine to incorporate your traits into your art. What is not ok is think making a character black/ brown is automatically right and qualifies as fixing a flaw. And to credit your point she is essentially "fighting" racism by being racist.
Honestly, the """"art fixer"""" should just draw their own character that can be any race they want and they wont get in trouble for it because their not blackwashing, whitewashing or washing away any characters' characteristics. The artist has the skills so why can't they?
They legit think they know better than actual minorities, that's why they still do the "latinx" sh.it...it's cause they (wrongfully and stupidly) think there are mexicans who think the same way they do...
I hate when people feel the need to "fix" the race of a dark skinned character in anime. Not all dark skinned characters are black!! There's dark skinned Asians too!! Stop it! It's offensive to both Black ppl and Asians!
This is a very good point. People seem to forget that there are dark skinned Asians, dark skinned Pacific Islanders, dark skinned indigenous people, etc.
Yup, just go to the Philippines lol We are asians and we are pretty dark skinned or just tanish, even a name for it "mareno/marena" Unless we are apparently african now just because we have a darker skin tone And besides you can take in the idea of mixed people in Japan too, because just like the Philippines, Foriegners had alot of kids with the natives (no im not talking about the Spaniards), i mean like my dad for instance, hes caucasian and i took his skin tone, but i was still born and live in this shit hole of a country (this country sucks) so a country's people isnt just 1 skin tone and asians can have darker skin
Also I like how she apparently thinks that Inca/Aztec/Maya/etc architecture means that the character is coded black. Not like mesoamerican populations had very little, if any, contact with "old world" (eurasian and african) populations. People do this all the time with mediterranean populations too (thus ignoring actual black kingdoms, some of which were incredibly rich, and erasing north african/south european/middle eastern history, sigh), but it's especially jarring to see it done to latinos because it doesn't make any sense from a geographical point of view.
I hate it when people assume that all brown/dark skinned characters are black and that all fair/light skinned characters are white. I feel like people do this because in the west we automatically associate dark skin with black people and fair skin with white people because of our social and cultural structures. But people have to realize that fair skin isn’t only a white trait and dark skin isn’t only a black trait. All races vary in skin tone. I feel like this is especially true for Asians because the continent is so big. There are ethnic groups in Northern Asia that are very fair skinned and there are ethnic groups in Southern Asia that are very dark skinned, sometimes darker than an average black person. Africans also vary because there are Africans of light skin tone as well such as those from Egypt or Morocco. People in the west need to stop thinking that everything is either black or white, it’s annoying and shows how narrow our view of the world is.
@@bromomento5913 oh lol I thought they were making the same lame joke (like a mockery of the fixer) by sarcastically asking that. Didn't realise they were begging. Totally agree. Spam is annoying.
White washing AND black washing are a thing. I despise people who say "Oh white washing exists but black washing doesn't". Some people find this as such an uncomfortable topic but it needs to be talked about.
black washing does exist indeed. it was just incorporated into our minds that it is something "good" for the sake of diversity but in reality, it is as racist as white washing. it's saying that the black version of the character is "better" because it's black and not white anymore. I don't like seeing white washed characters, but i also absolutely hate when they "upgrade" a white character by making him black. Ok, the white community didn't suffer like the POC community, but that is not a reason to undermine our ethnicity either. Answering to racism with racism is not going to lead us anywhere. People want representation? make new characters. Nick Fury was originally white, they made it black in one of the reboot/alternate universe/whatever new version they're making. If i draw Nick Fury as white, you bet i'm going to be burned the second it would be online. I'm just saying they shouldn't have made him black in the first place, because it is still disrespectful towards his original ethnicity. Instead of making a black peter parker, they made Miles Morales. THAT is representation. it's a new character who happens to have been through the same experience as Peter Parker. Miles is his own character, with his story, personality, and all that jazz. Representation isn't changing a white character into another ethnicity (that is just plain racist), it's putting on the front the POC characters that already exist. Or creating new ones who aren't made just to be token characters.
Because Japanese Artist mostly don't speak English so they think they can get away with it :( but no, Darling. You wont get away with anything on the internet.
It's a reason that among Japanese artist there is a guideline of who to avoid and block on Twitter. The funny thing is this isn't the first time that twitter account did this. She even is portraited as an example in the guideline.
Maybe because of their English because some of them has a lot difficulties to understand so it's more easier to them to target japanese or for another reason... I feel really bad for them because it litteraly happen all the time and in a lot of fandoms.

What really gets me is a lot of these self-proclaimed SJWs seem to forget Asian people are POC too. I used to think people who thought Asians weren't POC were just trolling, but no, there are legitimately people who honestly believe Asians are basically white people with extra steps. That being said... Sonic originated in Asia and the original artist of the fanart is in fact Asian, so likely if a race is to be assigned to these human versions of the characters it would logically be Asian since artists generally tend to most often draw characters in their own image (not a hard rule, but often that is what we are comfortable with since it is what we most frequently see). And *that* being said, it really shouldn't matter so much what race a fanart character is. Nitpicking fanart the way this person did isn't going to help the bigger picture and if anything will just end up fueling people's bigotry. They'll point at stuff like this as examples of "oppression" of white people or whatever.
how can they be poc if the whole thing is theyre 'colored', i mean tan asians sure, but can poc really be used as a blanket term for 'not white' when theyre are plenty of nonwhite people with the same skintone as white people, it seems easier to call them 'nonwhites' then to call them 'colored'
@@babowasalwayshere sorry for bother you. I have a question with no offense intended. What does "white person" and "person of color" mean to americans? Im asking because from what i saw (correct me if im wrong) it seems to be only white skin persons who are born in USA, and every kind of person enters in the category of "person of color". Im saying all this because anya taylor, an argentinian actress, was called POC even though she has a very pale skin.

of course it was a white person who did it. ppl BARELY see black people saying “fiX uR aRt fOr yOu” no, like white people make poc feel so uncomfortable doing that
This kind of "art fixing" actually happened on my friend too She drew some fanarts, and some random Twitter asshole just "fixed" it for her by making one of the character black And saying " Stop whitewashing characters", I was like " WTF? dude, no one cares about the race of the characters (because the characters are not humans, they are cookies), knowing that their skin tones are different is already enough" Also, this happened in the Apex Legends fan community too People claimed that the Japanese artists are "whitewashing" characters because their skin color is not black enough. This is just like, racist people calling others "racist".
This is what I don't understand about many sjws. There are so many problems in the world, actual poc are being used and exploited as cheap (especially children) labour for massive corporations, their homes and lands being destroyed and sold off to make a profit (take the Amazon rainforest for example) but instead of doing anything proactive about that... They sit on twitter doing the least amount of work while trying to take the most amount of credit for "making the world a better place", by doing what? Just attacking individual artists that have no real power or influence (like disney has) and just want to share their work they worked hard on. You'll never see SJW's going after massive corporations or anything that _actually_ benefits anyone. But they expect to be told that they're wonderful heroes for attacking people who aren't even doing anything wrong. I'm pretty sure if they sat down with the parents of whom they have to send their children to work in sweatshops just to feed themselves, the parents problem wouldn't be "I'm worried about how people are drawing characters online" but "please help make our lives better". It infuriates me.
"The best thing you can do against fan art that you don't like, is by creating fan art you do like" - Rebecca Sugar, creator of Stephen Universe. For a community of people that praise that show and talk about how great it is, they sure don't like to listen to the creator. (For context of the quote, Sugar said that to the community after they almost drove a fan to suicide by harassing her for making a darker skin character lighter.)
There was a similar story with a person who drew a supposedly chubby character as a skinny lady. The fanbases of those "woke" projects are really toxic
And what if in the original artist's interpretation Knuckles was Japanese just like them? In that kind of artstyle it easily blends so why some people feel entitled to see pale characters as white in the first place? People in Asia also have varied skintones. In that case the 'fixer' action would be even dumber than it already is.

Exactlyyyy it’s pretty easy to just make your OWN designs and incorporate elements from designs that other people made that inspired you, but nooo let’s just trace someone else’s work and steal art under the guise of “fixing” it.
More Japanese artists have started taking action about this topic. Many Japanese have stated they don’t mind other culture (?) versions of anime characters, with many saying that some are beautiful, but to them, taking someone’s art, and fixing it to say its “right” or “correct” is where they cross the line.
I really love how much awareness the left has done for people on the spectrum. Thanks to that fat disgusting space waste Japanese artists have been told what to look for before considering responding and one of those things was people advertising being on autistic.

What makes it worse is that like Sonic Team did their research. There are actual textures in Sonic Adventure taken from photographs when the team visited Mexico. It is a decently well known fun fact in the fandom and it shows. It shows because we actually see and meet some of Knuckles' ancestors. My god. This "fixer" is layers upon layers of stupidity and debauchery and I hope she steps on a fucking Lego.

He's technically not Mayan either, he's a fictional race with simply a Mayan influence. I know Aussies aren't a race, but they have many different cultural influences.
When I draw characters like Monty or Freddy Fazbear white, people always get mad. They're animatronics, how they look human is open to interpretation 😭

Also, I have mad respect for Tsuki who blocked her not because of the "fixing", but because their art was reposted without their permission. Besides, anyone who "fixes" art with malicious intent is big poo poo head.
it's because of fixers and reposters like this jp artists became rightfully mad strict about their art esp on twitter and if they see their art reposted without permission they'll lock or even delete their accounts
The logic here is astounding: -Sonic characters have skin tone on them already so you can tell of they’re black, white etc. -A japanese person creates fan art -Some un-artist not part of the Sonic development team decides the character is “coded black” from their own prejudices -Black faces the fan art with the fill tool -Then throws a s••t fit when the Japanese artist blocks them
The funniest part of this is Knuckles is actually confirmed to be based off of the Mayans and Incas, so by "fixing" the art, this person also took away from another very marginalized group.
Well mexican is not a race but a culture, if we treat it as race, it would be latinos, but each latinoamerican country has its own culture so its dificult to describe it as a whole, myself being colombian don't have the same customs as mexican, but the sjw assholes, treat us like we are some wimps that feel disgusted by a character being treated as a stereotype, something we actually like and adore.
There's so many mistakes here, so I'll just say. As a mexican I don't not know nor do I care about my race. I'm mexican because I come from a certain culture/ethnicity. That's it.

What's funny is that apparently, the original artist chose the skin colours based on the coloured SNOUTS that the characters had. So there was honestly no ill will behind it! I bet if any of them had black snouts (Which i haven't seen so far in any canon characters) Then i bet the artist would have went by that anyways!
Most people think Knuckles is black because of Sonic Adventure, where his snout is darker because of an error. Shadow also had a darker snout due to an error as well.

There’s a lot of people that like to change Japanese characters or characters drawn as Japanese people into black people. Whenever you try to call them out on it they get angry at you and call you racist . As a Japanese person, we’re the only people that give ourselves correct representation sometimes 😂 it gets frustrating to see people change the races of characters in order to “fix” them, like how do they not see how bad it is to say something like “Your character would look better as *insert race*.” And sonic is like- a Japanese character, made by Japanese people. Of course Japanese people would draw them as Japanese humans when humanizing them. This whole “Your character isn’t good enough so let’s change their race to fix them” mindset is so gross.
this trend had taken over the ace attorney fandom, making Phoenix Wright black for some reason was well as Maya Fey and Trucy none of them are black and why not just make up your own black occ rather than race swaping
@@askinredroads5132 tbh, there isn’t a lot. I have yet to be really like…pleased with any japanese role that isn’t done by actual japanese people.
Yeah ^^; I admittedly have made the mistake of forgetting that characters *literally living in Japan* aren't white before. In this case, it was an anime, which is naturally stylized, but still really embarrassed I made that mistake.

If you’re talking about that one translated post that was on Twitter talking about people like that it was actually made by a racist white man who was pretending to be Asian...
Makes me think of a time I got banned from a server from getting annoyed at “being racist for saying movies with black actors shouldn’t be celebrated just for having black actors” They didn’t even give me time to explain how movies should not only be celebrated for having black actors but for good acting and story 🗿🗿🗿
I've always felt... Very uncomfortable when I've seen people draw characters PURPOSELY black for no reason like. What is the purpose? Why make race a whole topic like that? It tears people apart... Also as a dark Asian, a LOATHE when people draw dark skinned asians as black. WE CAN BE DARK TOO. LEAVE US ALONE.
The thing that also sucks is that this is how rumors get started. Imagine someone who doesn't like this artist hears about this and decides to spread the rumor around without fact checking. And while this might seem like an extreme, I mean it is Twitter
"So, last night I edited a picture of Knuckles someone drew of him to be black. I was under the impression what the artist had done was white washing. I was wrong, and I am sorry." 1. "Washing" can be done to any race. Black washing is a thing too. Race washing can be done with any race. 2. White washing a character which is an animal? Wtf kinda shit excuse is that? *IT'S. AN. ANIMAL.*
Yeah basically that girl black-washed a Japanese character. The original artist intended for the characters to be Japanese, but this "woke" lesbian saw a pale face and went "Pale? Hmmm MUST MEAN WHITE, better make it black so I can prove I'm not a racist!1!" There are Asian people that are pale af, and they're still asian. She literally took a character that was already drawn as a POC, and made them darker because she was under the impression that pale=white, and white=bad.
theres no thing as blackwashing. racebending is a thing, however blackwashing, asianwashing etc. are not real terms and have no actual basis. whitewashing has historical background, as well as blackface, but blackwashing etc. do not. so dont fucking try to act smart without knowing what youre talking about please.
@@vibl6525 maybe they worded it wrong or got the terms confused, idk, but some of the following points made in this section do still stand: Animals don't really have races (side note: if somebody wants to draw an animal character as a person, the race is up to the artist's interpretation), and a cartoon character being drawn with pale skin doesn't automatically mean it's white (unless the creator of the piece says it is, I guess)
@@s_h_a_d_y3372 those two points are not what i argued against, but "race washing" is not a real thing and its harmful to start using these made up false terms. they can land in wrong places.
the most annoying part is that technically most of the "fixed" characters i've seen would be considered japanese people on account of being originally designed by japanese people and usually containing japanese cultural elements so trying to make these characters black would technically be forcing a japanese person(as in the original artist) to wear black face.
@@UN_bear_ABL3 also i was stating was that anime characters are usually japanese unless stated otherwise and elaborating on the reason for why i think this.

This is a very good point. People seem to forget that there are dark skinned Asians, dark skinned Pacific Islanders, dark skinned indigenous people, etc.
Yup, just go to the Philippines lol
We are asians and we are pretty dark skinned or just tanish, even a name for it "mareno/marena"
Unless we are apparently african now just because we have a darker skin tone
And besides you can take in the idea of mixed people in Japan too, because just like the Philippines, Foriegners had alot of kids with the natives (no im not talking about the Spaniards), i mean like my dad for instance, hes caucasian and i took his skin tone, but i was still born and live in this shit hole of a country (this country sucks) so a country's people isnt just 1 skin tone and asians can have darker skin

Those are r@cist people who think black people are superior.
Literally. If one exists so does the other/opposite. The opposite doesn't have to be extremely prevalent in media for it to be a thing
Yea black people have a bad habit of thinking they're the only people who are mistreated. It's really fucking annoying.

SJW only apply POC to those who they consider oppressed. Everyone else is white

@@kiricappuchin The fact this is true
And it also tells me that they just want social media points/fame instead of actually doing anything to help people/improve the world. L

Knuckles isn't even black-coded, his people are based off of the Mayans. Y'know, an extinct race of non-black people.
The Mayas are still alive, what indeed make it worst because you can search for photos of people of Mayan descent
What makes it worse is that like Sonic Team did their research. There are actual textures in Sonic Adventure taken from photographs when the team visited Mexico. It is a decently well known fun fact in the fandom and it shows. It shows because we actually see and meet some of Knuckles' ancestors. My god. The logic here is astounding:
-Sonic characters have skin tone on them already so you can tell of they’re black, white etc.
-A japanese person creates fan art
-Some un-artist not part of the Sonic development team decides the character is “coded black” from their own prejudices
-Black faces the fan art with the fill tool
-Then throws a s••t fit when the Japanese artist blocks them
It’s the strangest logic I have seen tbh.

Her account said she is 21 years old, yet she’s more like a 12 year old the way she acted
The funniest part of this is
Knuckles is actually confirmed to be based off of the Mayans and Incas, so by "fixing" the art, this person also took away from another very marginalized group.

@@aandersson9181 Right! 👍

11:26 Hahaha, that drawing is supreme! The look on the poor girl's face. I didn't know about this case, thanks for sharing it with so much context and insights!
The saddest thing about this is that a lot of talented and hardworking artists don’t get enough recognition and at the same time art fixers trend on twitter

The funniest thing about her "apology" is that she was retweeting black artist, when the artist she offended was Japanese. Full Idiocracy at display lol
This guy is so calm and chill, like damn.
I do headcanon that if knuckles was a human he’d be black but.. never “fix” someone else’s art thats so rude
instead you can make your own art where the character is black :)
@@Hyacinth_666 right
And that's totally fine, there's just an issue when people take someone else's headcanon and try to "fix it" when they could just ignore it and go do their own
@@kayla-oo9wl fr like is it that hard to comment "I like your headcanon, though I more headcanon knuckles to be black" or smth like that, or even ignore it bruh sonic and the others are not fucking humans
Completely alright! 🤗 The problem with this girl was she used someone's else art and acted like she "fixed" it.
Got yelled at in dms about the skin tone of one of my drawings because this girls OWN phone screen saturated the colors and made the skin tone look more yellow than it actually was. All it took was one screenshot on my end to shut her down. These people are so addicted to outrage they'll make themselves look like idiots to get their fix, but at least she didnt try to "fix it."
can you please fix my art 😉
Fkin epic
People really tryna find a reason to get mad over anything. Like hun put your phone and high brightness and pull up a picture with a lot of yellow in it like I,,, can they not think?
@@pogz1 can u plz stfu
Art fixers are the worst, even someone in Japan someone stated publicy to ignore people like that and block them if they come attacking their art.
Also you don't know how grateful I am for you to put subtitles in your videos! It helps me to practice english since I'm still learning it
They listed if someone advertises their pronouns, their mental illness and autism/aspergers to block them. I think to myself more marginalization.
If you’re talking about that one translated post that was on Twitter talking about people like that it was actually made by a racist white man who was pretending to be Asian...
Makes me think of a time I got banned from a server from getting annoyed at “being racist for saying movies with black actors shouldn’t be celebrated just for having black actors”
They didn’t even give me time to explain how movies should not only be celebrated for having black actors but for good acting and story 🗿🗿🗿
I think they just played vrchat too much and their mind immediately connected knuckles to uganda
Highly agreed

@@pogz1 I couldn't draw a circle if my life depended on it
I've always felt...
💀 twitter really forgetting there are multiple races with varying skintone
Mad respect for you for having subtitles. All non native English users are thankful

As a non native english speaker I agree!
The thing that also sucks is that this is how rumors get started. Imagine someone who doesn't like this artist hears about this and decides to spread the rumor around without fact checking.
And while this might seem like an extreme, I mean it is Twitter
I actually like that black Knuckles design more, but I couldn't imagine having the audacity to say, "hey I 'fixed' your art."
It is a cool design, but HOLY SHIT
Same. Its shameful behavior
Same
"So, last night I edited a picture of Knuckles someone drew of him to be black. I was under the impression what the artist had done was white washing. I was wrong, and I am sorry."
1. "Washing" can be done to any race. Black washing is a thing too. Race washing can be done with any race. 2. White washing a character which is an animal? Wtf kinda shit excuse is that? *IT'S. AN. ANIMAL.*
Factsss
Yeah basically that girl black-washed a Japanese character. The original artist intended for the characters to be Japanese, but this "woke" lesbian saw a pale face and went "Pale? Hmmm MUST MEAN WHITE, better make it black so I can prove I'm not a racist!1!"
There are Asian people that are pale af, and they're still asian.
Although I can see where you coming from it’s not that deep
@@UN_bear_ABL3 why do people say "deep" for?
@@UN_bear_ABL3 also i was stating was that anime characters are usually japanese unless stated otherwise and elaborating on the reason for why i think this.
@@gusty7153 I'm referring to the fact that it does not carry as much emotional weight as you think it does.
@@UN_bear_ABL3 oh good, i thought you another one of those anti-intellectual types...
anyways i have no idea what you're talking about as the only emotions intended with my statement is expressing my own personal annoyance at the entire situation regarding people "fixing" fanart. otherwise I was not trying to be deep at all. so i think you were misinterpreting something there.
the only acceptable art to "fix" is YOUR old art that you hate.
