✿ 2024 UPDATE: ✿
if you're having trouble specifically with tags that have spaces in them, i recently noticed that the dash "-" in-between tags for links are no longer being used but instead you should type this: "%20"
For example:
If I want a tagged page to be found under "TS3 Buy Mode"
you should write it as: /tagged/TS3%20BUY%20MODE not with the dashes since tumblr seemed to have changed that.

Can you do an updated tutorial?? When it comes to adding direct tagged links it always redirects me to my blog on the tumblr website not on my tumblr website if that makes sense. I've tried multiple themes (old and new) and even have been searching on reddit but no one seems to have this issue. thanks in advance
i've looking into making an updated tutorial since tumblr has changed a bit since i last made this video (and i've also learned a few more hacks and tips).

Hi Ling! And that option is more of a personal preference rather than something that is mandatory. So, it should be perfectly fine if you have that option disabled. It would just send the user to the page of the link in the same window rather than opening a new window to send them.

When you edit the appearance of your theme: Under add a page, you change the "Standard Layout" drop down button on the top left corner to "Custom Layout" which is where you'll then copy and paste the linked pastebin code. Save and refresh to see if it works.
To make changes and customize you'll have to edit the code yourself. You can find specific lines of what you want to change by pressing both "command + F" keys to easily find the lines you'd like to edit.
For example to change the "COLUMN HEADER" to say something like "TS4 MODS". With command + f - you would then search for where in the code "COLUMN HEADER" is.

You just have have to make sure that the code doesn't use javascript. But if it does, you'll then first have to ask tumblr for permission.

I am having a hard time linking my username to the socials, what is the best way to do this?
Which socials are you having trouble with in-particular?
If it's UA-cam: make sure you are using your original username.
For example, when I first made my YT - I made it under the handle "PrettyLittleSimmers." And even though I changed how my username looks to others - my username under UA-cam is still technically "PrettyLittleSimmers" -not "Geekerella."
So, when I was doing my tumblr social links: I made sure to put my old username rather than Geekerella - (because that links to another's channel.)
when i go to my navigation page & click the male cc page persay, i can see the cc i tagged in there, but when i press the navigation button again it says "The URL you requested could not be found." but only when im in a page. when im on the home page i can press navigation and itll go there but i cant go back to navigation after already in a navigation page.
im sorry if it doesn't make sense, english isn't my strongest

oh no :( what do you mean? where are you trying to link a tag - for the navigation page or elsewhere?
@@geekerellauwu for my navigation page 😩 im pretty sure it’s cuz the tags im using have emoji’s and other punctuation in them , i’ll figure it out lol

(if so that would require editing the code to a page - which is a little more complicated compared to what is shown on the video. i am planning on making a video in the future since i have learned a few more tumblr tips).

I did all the steps for the tagged links, and no new page is shown on my tumblr :( it just shows my bio paragraph
what theme are you using? sometimes save toggling with the "show a link to this page" switch may work
