Hi, I loved your tutorial! :) I am thinking about creating custom GIFs for an online event where participants can share their own stories with those GIFs. Do you also know how I could make them searchable on IG so that they can use them?
You can! Just do a screenshot or a selection and when you double tap to write open your clipboard and picture will be there. You can not edit it ( apart from size) so have it cropped and ready!

I followed all of your steps (but I use InDesign)... all goes well apart from when my gif is published on my Instagram Story... it looks fine when I’m creating my Story and then when it publishes, it’s all squished (the width)... it’s all out of proportion! Hey! Oh no! Hmm... is it just a first photo when you upload it to instagram, or is it still just the first photo in your photo album too? If it is just a picture in your photo album then I would assume it is likely downloading incorrectly!

Hi Angelos! You should be able to do this on both iphone & android devices! If you go to your instagram and go to add a story, the newer updates have a "create" option that looks like this: Aa. This will be alongside boomerang, layout and some other new features. If you click this, instead of typing, scroll over and then it should say "GIF" and this is how you can upload a GIF without a photo! It is through GIPHY and you _may_ need to sign up for an account first, but other than this it should work!

Hey Nicole! You can try to upload them to GIPHY or you can simply copy the element on your phone and then "paste" it into the story, like you would with text!

Hey! I'm so sorry this was only available on Iphone ☹️ However, now you should have an "image" sticker that you can upload the GIF with! Go into your stories > select stickers > then select the sticker that looks like a circle and an image! xx
I have an iPhone for anyone struggling at the end….you tap the text button as if you’re going to type… then paste. Of course assuming you’ve copied the GIF from your camera roll photos. It worked 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hey Tye! I'm not sure if Android have the copy feature, so in that case I would just switch that part out and try to upload it to Giphy! Fingers crossed this works for you 🙂

Yea, that's where I got stuck too. I understand and can implement how to make the GIFs, but getting them into your IG stories is where the instruction loses clarity. For example after she copies her GIF, she goes to IG and says click on 'Add Story' but in the video the button actually says 'Add Sticker.' I guess it doesn't matter since I don't see either of them on IG. 🤷🏽♀️ Louise, do you offer one on one classes? I would really like to be able to do this.
Yetta Young Yes! I only seen add story but when you click that, it adds your boomerang to the story without the sticker. I went ahead and applied for a GIPHY account and waiting on approval. Hopefully I get approved so they will pop up on IG for everybody
@@yettayoung Someone else above commented that you can tap the text button as if you're going to write text, then paste the GIF you copied when the cursor appears ... maybe that will work!
