I know I’m three years late but thank you for this! 😭. Especially the point you made about making your channel stand out. I started my channel almost a year ago and I created my own legacy challenge and I stream it weekly! Hopefully it takes off ❤❤
I'm in the same boat LMAO I'm going to start in the upcoming months, I checked out your channel and I'm 100% gonna watch your stuff when I get the chance, it seems really good
I love your way of explaining things. You answered a lot of my questions and I learned a ton of new info I wasn't even aware I needed knowledge of! Thanks a lot!😁
Thanks so much for this starting in 2023! Don’t know why I didn’t start this many years ago! My WHY is I play it all the time since I was 10 years old I’m now 27 and I still play it! So that’s my why 🎉❤
Thank you Whiny Brit!! I just recently became unemployed and I know I can't work for anyone else so I'm looking to start a youtube channel focused on the sims. This was really useful info!
Thanks for this! I have been working on content since June and finally made my page a few days ago. Still don't have the confidence to hit that upload button but this video was helpful.
I love this video. You're right. Most of the "how to grow your channel" doesn't apply to Simmers, but thanks to you, you uploaded one of the few how to's. I am a new channel as well and I can tell you that it is hard, but I think if you love what you're doing, I think it'll be worth it. But yeah, numbers are important as well >_< I'm struggling
Haven’t watched the full vid as I’m at work, but thanks so much for making this! I just bought my first ever gaming comp (a prebuilt, but still!!) and am thinking about making sims content now. It’s been months since I’ve played and plenty of new mods have come out, can’t wait to try them for my coming soon channel!!
Thanks so much for this, it's hard to find guides on your specific area. I started my sims channel a few months ago, I mostly do 1 hour builds that I stream on Twitch, and yes I agree, only do it as a hobby, which is what I do :)
Thank you so much for making this video! Like you said in the beginning there are tons of videos about starting a UA-cam channel but most of them don't apply to Sims channels. I've watched so many and thought "but how can I use this on my channel?" I'm doing all the things you have suggested. I need to have a bigger presence in the community but other than that I'm doing it all. So far I have 9 videos uploaded and one scheduled to upload on my normal upload day. My channel has been up for almost 2 months but I've only had 100 views and the watch time is less than 3 hours. I swear people are only watching for a min or 2. I don't know how to get them to watch longer. Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to say your video was very helpful!
This is so helpful. Thank you for sharing. I just started my Sims channel a few weeks ago - though I've been thinking about it for years! I was so nervous to finally start, but videos like these are so helpful!
I noticed that same first thing you mentioned! I like to look at channels & go to their vid list & sort from older > newest because I like to see how long they've been around. And I also noticed too that it takes around a year of constant uploading to start seeing results
I just now seen this video I love that you are helping others out!! I love that in the UA-camrs I watch!! Makes me watch them more. I myself try to help while filming I have even helped another UA-camr with some things.I try to be frequent on peoples videos because in reality if we all helped each other we could all be monetized, but some people can be quite selfish in that regard, I love that we arent!!
thank you for this. i just started like last week and i'm still lost. lol. i can't make a concrete schedule bc i have an on call job which sucks but keeps me alive and i'm thinking about making speed builds and LPs, but i dont like my voice, and the only mic i have and can afford is the mic connected to earphones 😂 i was thinking of making this channel for months and now here i am... lost 😂
This was such a great video of explaining how to have a Sims channel!! Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. This will definitely help my Sims channel to grow 😅
Thank you for making this! I’ve been making videos for a while now but stopped, UA-cam just started pushing out my old videos and I’m debating whether to make a new channel or stick to this one 😂
This video is unique. I've also seen tons of videos on how to grow a UA-cam channel and a lot of it doesn't apply to gaming or the Sims. I make content because I like to tell stories.
It's hard because I like to do lots of things. Challenges make me nervous and I get so distracted so easily, I love to build, hmm thanks for the video 😊 love your channel
Hi there! Thank you so much for this, I have been trying to create a video for sometime now and was having trouble with screen recorders but this is so helpful! Hopefully soon I can upload soon
Thank you for this video. I have been looking for sims videos talking about how to get started. The only thing I think that is left for me is a name, which is where I am having the hardest time, I don't know what I want to go by or what I want my channel to be called 😂😅
I myself am a bit confused how to "niche" my channel ( I will be creating a whole new channel, and attaching my wattspad page for people to read stories) and I am a dream catcher creator, and I love to review games/mods/ etc I don't really have a niche, I was thinking trying to post a few different ones and seeing which takes off easier? Or maybe just having a channel that is like a Jack of All trades lol I do way to many things to just put myself in a box (paint, create dream catchers, draw/portraits, gamer, movie lover, crafty for sure and puzzles)
Great tutorial for UA-cam Sims game beginners. Almost none have a tutorial for us who deal with the Sims game and I am very grateful to you for that. My question is, do you still work with Camtasia because these videos look great?🐞🎬🤩 ❤️
Thank you! i'm glad it was useful! yes I do still use Camtasia for screen recording and editing, however from what I remember it was quite pricey, there are loads of free editing and recording software too, like OBS.
Tysm for this video!! Even tho it’s 2y old, Iv been wanting to make a Sims4 UA-cam channel for a while and iv finally built up enough confidence to do so, here soon. I am having a little bit of trouble deciding on what type of gaming computer to get though. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what type of computer to get that will hold the game itself, the expansion packs, and all the mods? I understand thats a lot, sorry for the long message 😂 But I love your videos, the humor is hilarious, and your videos have inspired me!! Have a great day😭
Thank you so much for your step by step. I just realized that my first few uploads may take some time to get it up and running. Is there perhaps a few Facebook groups that you might recommend?
Hey ✨ Thanks for the good advices ! I find it hard to be consistent but that's one key to success. If you can make a video on how to be consistent, how to plan all the process of making one video, it will be so helpful. Each of my videos takes me like minimum of 20 hours of work 🤣 Donno what's wrong with me.
I made a second video which I thought was decent. It has a mixture of commentary with some animated scenes of the sims with voice acting. But now that I see the views it makes me doubt myself.

Yeah, it may seem like a real slow burner at first, but it'll pick up if you consistently upload. good luck!

I'm working on getting my channel off the ground. It's going to be a sims/crafty channel. I may do it so I make the things my sims make in real life.
I have always figured how I was supposed to get views and subscribers, but I guess it makes since since I only have one video
I made a second video which I thought was decent. It has a mixture of commentary with some animated scenes of the sims with voice acting. But now that I see the views it makes me doubt myself.
Do you have any tips on how to make videos interesting and add some commentary without voiceover?
Finally a realistic video that doesn’t promise a million bajillion likes before you get your first fart out
I have a laptop a gaming one not so big but it's a gaming one would that work to start off?
