Magic mushrooms would make you see psychedelic things like what you find in Super Mario Bros. Though it’s not unheard of for people to do mushrooms at a rave.

OMG Rollcage:Stage 2, was favorite arcade racer ever! Unlocking cars that can rech top speeds of 1000+MPH. Its finally back! :D

Now that the game is out in full I'd love to see an updated review. The game has improved a lot.
As someone who still has and plays the original rollcage finding this game just made me so happy! I was just browsing the ps store and saw this and was like “did they bite one of my favorite games??” I looked it up and some of the same developers are responsible, my heart is so full 😭😭😭 the original game was so ahead of it’s time. Shoutout to everyone here! 🙌🏽❤️
I can't believe I just found out about this game because of a random website that used it as a thumbnail for their usual rambling.
Saw the picture and thought it was incredibly close to rollcage but in much better quality which couldn't be possible as the studio that made the game had closed down.
I was afraid it'd be only a car or two that would look alike but this video truly shows it's basically rollcage 3.
2024 starting great already!
One effect I would like to see in this game.
Is if you hit 450+ MPH there should be an effect where the front of your car starts getting hotter and hotter before it looks like a meteor zooming through an atmosphere.

Rollcage was my shit back in the days when i was only like 5.
i DID get that rc car for christmas back in the day! and i just found out about, and bought Rollcage on ps1 at a local retro game store yesterday :) i'm glad Grip is a thing, but hopefully will be released on ps4 (crossing fingers!)

It doesn't look very fast though, the upside down wheel system also doesn't work in real life but it does look like a lot of fun!
I played ROLLCAGE intensely from 1999 on right from the release. I only heard of this now, bought it immediately for PC,but I'm hoping for a PS4 version, doesn't mater if it's digital or on disc, I just want to play it on a playstation contoller once again :)

Oh the memories are flooding back. I remember having fun just getting a double boost and launching my self all the way to the skybox ceiling on one of the levels. The incredible difficultly to get Uri (or however you spelled his name). I usually played Jet or Leon, I liked to be balanced.

Never heard of Rollcage but I did actually have that RC car. Funny how that worked out.
Formula Fusion is also in early access and is being developed by some of the original developers of the early wipeout games.
I have rollcage sipping on a shelf behind me, I guess it's time to start playing again so I can compare!

I used to play a Rollcage rip-off called Fiebugs on the PS1. Now that shit was fun!
the guys that made wipeout also have a game on early access called Formula Fusion.

i loved rollcage on my playstation. i first played the demo for hundreds of hours for months and then purchased the game with my pocket money. i completed the game in 1 day. with the demo i would drive the car the wrong way and destroy the building with the missiles for some extra fun :)

I still play Rollcage from time to time, one of the developers even made a redux version to run better on modern hardware (You can DL for free). Grip looks great as well, even tho the driving mechanics feel a bit too forgiving.

it was a drum and bass music, not techno. rollcage 2 was the best game of its kind. micro machines v4 also superb third person racing. i will check this grip game out, looks good, hope its similar

My imagination must be wild as a kid cause i remember roll cage 2 graphics were amazing playing on the playstation and now looking back at the game 20 years later I couldn't believe the graphic was bad 😂😂 good times tho

Omg.. Yeah I second that on the perceived speed. It's not forza radio car, it's FKN ROLLLCAGE!!!! Super insane speed and techy power ups and Tron-esque weapons. Yeea boi!

looks like this could be good. I loved both rollcage games. not sure why danny feels the need to call this an arcade racer though? you never got games like rollcage or wipeout or w/e in the arcades.

For example Projekt zomboid, i really love this game. But after 150 hours or more i have enough. But its stil in EA.
