- This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In this inspiring and passionate talk, Dave Crow shares with us his view on freedom. He tells us about how he became a dancer and beatboxer despite not having the typical physical attributes for it. He challenges us to seek freedom within ourselves, since this life is the only chance we have. And to top things, a brilliant interactive beatbox performance like no other!

This speach hit home for me. Thanks Dave crow. I asked myself the same question everyday. And now I have my own buisness, sending my daughter to collage, and paid off my house. Your a great speaker, and you changed my life. Ty. Truley.

None of you seem to get the point of this message of pure light work. I havent heard truths told so well in this day and age. This is deffinitely a must listen.
The entire world needs to hear his speech, it's the truest most genuine thing I've ever heard in my life, I'm absolutely going to listen and learn from him! I love him so much! He is one of the most talented beatboxers I've ever heard. I only wish the crowd appreciated his talent more. Not to mention his humor was seemingly unappreciated, even though it had me in tears at points.
This man is literally my hero with what he said. I hope I get to meet him one day!

It was the mic. if you didn't notice he was trying hard to get the BOOM but the volume is out of wack or not set for beatboxing purposes. The speakers are put to an exact equalization made for a collage room speech. I wouldn't expect nothing less from the speaker/amp. so it wasn't davids beatboxing.When tom thum went he brought his own equipment,

What makes me angry, is that people compare this to Tom Thum's TEDxSydney, when they are so different in style. And those who understand that, still may make a comment comparing the beatboxing sections of this act to the whole of Tom's act. That's purely stupid, when he mostly talks about Freedom and setbacks. Now, I quite love Tom's performance to bits as well, but to compare it to this isn't right. Which one do I like better? If you read this paragraph, you would I prefer neither due to the striking difference in style.

take a moment and just sit down, breathe for a few times in and out and close your eyes. now realize what ted gives us the ability for. its the ability to show who we really want to be. none of the speekers i heard talking on ted were similar. but most of them were electifying. ted gives everybody the chance to tell a lot of people what your thoughts are about. you don't have to be a politician or study and work your whole life or embarrace yourself to whisper something into society's ears. You can stay yourself and touch people with your purest emotions!

Perfect example of a person using a talent to gain notoriety and then speaking to a self realizing fact. I appreciate what he has accomplished. Just as we are here for more then buying that expensive car or a bigger TV, I wish the best for the inhabitants of this (the only place we currently have) planet and hope for a better tomorrow. I have no social media platform and am not a public figure but... I do live here and want to see the evolution of peaceful people. Not owned by the almighty (insert your currency of choice) dollar but, as a good spouse, father, neighbor, etc. Again, I appreciate this being unexpected and from left field given this man's background!
I'm not an expert but I think he's a great beatboxer and we should all listen to his words. I believe in everything he said and I think he's right FREEDOM is the most important thing we can have and we should all have it but we should also use it wisely

Numbers speaking and you dare to say Dave is better? And in order to make a talk, you should be good at talking first. Even if Dave was better, his way to present skills would carry him down.
Dave is better, but this show was absolute shait. Check his street performances.
Falcon Plays He is good and honestly I likED him better a year ago, but Toms Beatbox Battle premier for "ratchet face" is waaaaay better than a street performance.

And the beatboxing he did perform, was basic, not to the best of his ability. Tom thum had all this technology at his performance, humor, and charm. Dave was not going to impress, he was trying to enlighten. Tom has unique sounds that few can make.. But that by no means makes him a better beatboxer. He is a great beatboxer but don't get me wrong.. There are many better. Inculding Dave. It is my opinion and you will not change it. There are beatboxers better than Crowe too, Skiller, Reeps One, etc. Not to mention Tom gets more publicity than Dave. Tom is featured on multiple beatboxing channels. Including the official beatbox tv. So of course he has more views. Publicty=views, yes? Most of Toms performances feature 3 unique sounds or more and he combines them, some are simple some are not. A large proportion is not plain out beatboxing. Now, for you to give an argument back, You will have to give evidence on how Tom Is better. Besides views, why would that matter? People get 100,00,000 views for eating and even staring into a camera. Your turn lol

He was using the form of ''beat box'' to describe certain subjects. An I am not a saying he was bad, I am saying I expected more in his beat boxing. His beats were every were and they did not really go together. His basses were just a lot of noise. I am fond of David crow and what he does. But this performance was not what I was expecting. I don't see how giving my feedback on a video makes me a shallow person as well. If I dislike something that you like that makes me a shallow person? You're logic is flawed or atleast it is to me. The comment section is used for personal preference and I gave mine. If you disagree with it oh well.

Swavek M ive watched years ago, still overused throat bass and simple patterns. entertaining for non-beatboxers. to say whether it's music, its structure and build up are weak compared to decent beatboxers.
as i say watch his other videos, type in DAVE CROVE on here, he is one of the bestest, takes about 2 years to learn what he can do.
