💪Cars with Bike engines💪

A bike-engined car is a small or light weight car that is powered by an engine that was designed for use in a motorcycle.
Early examples of bike-engined cars include the 1948 Invacar and the 1949 Bond Minicar, both of which were designed as basic, low-cost transportation.
Modern motorcycle engines are often available with higher specific outputs than car engines, which provides a performance advantage in a lightweight car. The motorcycle's sequential gearbox is often fitted with the engine, allowing for fast gearshifts.
The drawbacks of using motorcycle engines in cars are the lack of reverse gear and reduced torque output at low RPM.
Performance models of bike-engined cars are often based on the Lotus 7-type kit cars.

If anyone is going to do this you can only do this with a lightweight car, like 700-800kg max after that your not faster than a normal car engined car. Ideal engine is 1000cc+. You can use electric for reverse

I seen this suggestion from UA-cam. Naturally I was curious. A couple decades ago a GL 1500 found its way into my 43 MB Willy's Jeep. Coupled the drive shaft to three speed transmission. With the transfer case I have the option of six gear rations. And more than twice the hp.lol
And with used parts being cheap as they are I have CBR 1000rr spinning a six-speed Corolla transaxle with limited slip. With the Corolla hubs and discs front and rear. That's all powering a street legal buggy with the cross cart Truck Body.
Weighing in at 1250#
The Corolla transaxle( FWD) gives me the reverse and limited slip diff. And the sixth gear close ratios saves having to fiddle with gearing changes for changing conditions. A nice bonus with this engine is it's dual stage fuel injection. When not putting the engine to work it'll get close to 40 MPG.
Now to get that dual Turbo 3S GE beams Blacktop (460hp 4 cly) into the 75 Celica.😲
