I needed this video. We live in Jersey Village area and have been without power since Monday at 5 am. Had our 54th anniversary on Wednesday. This video made my day!!
Happy Anniversary to y’all. Hopefully power will be restored soon.
Great catch Mark. Your patience and persistence pays off once again.😎
Thanks 👍 bro.
Great video, Mark, those were a couple of really nice reds! I hope you and your family weathered the storm ok, take care and be safe!
We were lucky nothing major happened.
Man I know it sucks late morning but that first hour of daylight in july is just golden to be on the water.....
Periodically between the concrete breakwaters like the one in your video you will catch nice flounders sitting on bottom during tidal flow. Great video!
You don't know if you don't go💪
Well, another good video Marc. Having been through numerous hurricanes there, I usually waited 7 to 10 days before hitting the shallows, however, while waiting,I hit the surf and slammed the big bullreds. Anyhow, tight lines and fair weather to ya!!
Maybe I should hit the surf soon. 🤔
Great job Brother getting the Job done 💯💪🙏
Thanks 👍
Uhhh, I don’t know what those first few comments were about but, I appreciate you testing the waters for us. Definitely a successful trip with those two Reds you caught. P.S. It looked like miserable time with no wind. 🥵
It was a scorcher. All kinds of new smells were coming from my PFD 🤢
@@MDLRFishingworse smells than soldiers sweating and farting inside of tanks?😅
I need this too!! I was set to go fishing this Friday, however I cancelled due to the uncertainty of making it out with all the clean up.
You got this! 🎣
Was wondering when you’d be out there. Nice.
🔥🔥🔥
How did the surf look? Surf cams are still down. 🎣🤠
Question for you Mark: What kind of fish leap out of the water in the inner bay marshes and flats? I have always been curious about the species they are. It looks like they are leaping to escape a predator? Thanks bud. Great content as always!
Usually a mullet.
@@MDLRFishing Thank you sir. I figured as much, but the words of a pro have much more weight.
I was expecting to see all kinds of debris deposited in the marsh from hurricane winds, yet they look great.
I see you added a longer push pole. How long is yours? I have the similar set up with a 4ft and the longer 6ft yakattack push pole.
Same, 6’
Hey brother Mark, I’m thinking I’m getting a kayak. I noticed you have a pedal kayak. Would you recommend a regular kayak or a pedal kayak for beginners?
If you’re in great physical condition, a paddle kayak is going to be a cheaper option. A good kayak is going to cost you onwards of a $1000. I always recommend buying the best kayak you can afford. It’s best to steer clear of the cheap kayak brands. You’ll end up wanting to replace them after a few months.
Way to use your eyes Mark 🤨
Wow, we islanders ain't even got our heads above water yet and are still trying to gain our livelihoods back and you just come down and frolick when the locals ain't even fishing yet!! Maybe come help clean up and support the community/water you come and fish!
Ok karen
