@@MrNormal593 I use 7’ to reach across the bow of the kayak. I’ve had trouble in the past with shorter rods when a fish decides to swim under the kayak.

It’s hard to get close enough to the rocks to fish. All the jetty fishermen lines and when they cast make it very difficult.
