Glad you gave the splinterstorm stratagy a go! It truly is a terrific level of anti-infantry, its kinda telling that even that insane levels wont make it into competitive lists. Too much indirect at the top tables to risk such a specialised unit. But for "fun" casual play, its a terror.
Next up...Mandrakes! Or maybe Rapid Ingress Draz + Incubi from a Falcon? Beastmaster pack abusing Fortune? Kabalites in Venoms giving eldar access to sticky objectives? So much to choose from.

Mandrakes are indeed up next! I’ve always loved the new models honestly I wish I still had the old metal ones!
I think there's still AMAZING potential for trade pieces once the standard eldar stuff eats the upcoming nerf, hold out hope. Ravagers are 3xDL@95 vs 4xDL@120, and assuming only Aeldari get the nerf hammer then we see a huge amount of value from them moving forward and their deepstriking.
The idea of 3 turns of 4 darklances deepstriking/Rapid Ingressing (One squad at a time), then Phantasming/Fire and Fading away makes me chuckle
@@ProxyHammer1 conversions off of Nemartii Thralls or Sylvaneth tree revenants both make fantastic alternatives. Just splash a bit of otherworldly green flame on there and you're done.

Honestly when I first heard the Bladestorm synergy I just thought 'yeah yeah sounds like some people are getting overexcited, it'll not actually be doable'.
Then I realised 'oh wait a minute the strat just requires the Aeldari keyword, not the army version but the race one works aswell'.
GW really trying to make Eldar the most hated race again.

Scourge were already dangerous but hanging out with craftworld Aeldari that taught them the way of the bladestorm made them extra dangerous

You always seem to mirror what my current plans are, 4 boxes of scourges arrived this weekend for preparation of some upcoming tourneys.
Running 3x5 scourges, but then also a lot of s.spectres - so I think I need the 3x4 dark lances against the armour / big bugs I am expecting to face.
Having played a couple of games without the autarch due to Yvraine, I never seem to have the CP to actually spare for dmg output on bladestorm - always seems to be fire and fade for scoring.
Here's hoping drukhari get some points drops, just so it balances out my eldar units lol. Good video as always.
Thanks for watching and great minds do think alike!! Definitely run those lsnces but I would also suggest a unit of heat lances to tag those really tough things!
@@ProxyHammer1 also because I only have enough dark lances for 4, and enough ranger snipers+blaster combos to kitbash 4 more dark lances lol... So maybe I do take the heat lances. Could be cool
@@lukequadling399 Yes man trust me Heat lances are a great pick and they are excellent on a fast moving unit that can also move again after shooting! I’ve had a lot of success with the single unit I use in my Ynnari

I didn't even know this...I just bought 10 Scourges and 10 Swooping Hawks and made 2 units of 5 Corsair Jump Pack troops out of them using old Corsair heads and swords with the Hawk wings as jump packs and cut off the talons from the Scourges.
Really hope Corsairs get a Ynarri like detachment where Prince Yriel needs to be the warlord instead of Yvrainne...no shade but she's no pirate

Poison and bladestorm sounds nasty, never thought of that. Too bad I can't think of a single anti-weapon in our own stuff.

Anyone considering magnetizing. IMO just buy more scourge instead of magnetizing them. If I spent all my time painting them instead of magnetizing them they'd be done. For me nothing drains my hobby energy like magnetizing. Also GW will be more like to make Aeldari stuff if we buy Aeldari stuff
Agreed they are super hard to magnetize because of the small joints…

I mean Bladestorm is pretty useless on pretty much all eldar units aside from maybe DAs but even then it’s kinda meh
It’s great on scatter lasers and other high volume weapons, just not probably the best use of a CP

I mean, depends how the list is built, supported mechdar/bikedar? Probably not spending all our CP anyway and bladestorm for that volume of fire def helps. But it's not how the good stuff plays right now, not to mention the counter meta stuff
