There are three issues with the zippers on this bag that prevent it from being perfect and setting it apart from other backpacks. First, the zippers are not lockable, which means you can't secure your belongings properly. Second, the front pocket zipper should have had two sliders, making it easier to open and close from either side. Lastly, the zippers should have been made of brass, like the ones found on the Journeyman backpack, to enhance their durability and aesthetic appeal. These three problems make the bag fall short of being the best option available.
Thanks for the review. I must confess it didn’t wow me like the Goruck or the Evergoods. I wish they’d opted for a clamshell, recognising that this would mean no external water bottle holder. I think a good like for like alternative would be the Fjallraven Raven, which is an excellent every day bag. Thanks again
Thank you for watching and I agree, although the bag is niceI was expecting a little bit more when I first received it. Good call on the Raven as well, that bag is awesome!:)
@@dannypacks FR Raven is a ok bag. But if you want quality you have to look at fjellreven’s Nr. Series. I have FR rucksack nr 21 medium in sand/tarmac. They are more pricey than Kanken and Raven but also superior in quality! It’s only a 20L bag but that’s enough for my EDC.
Would this bag fit a 26oz Yeti Rambler? I have the briefcase version of this bag and it has been FANTASTIC. Outside of the leather handles, the nylon still looks brand new after 2+ years!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad to hear that the Filson brief has worked out well for you! I think a 26 oz rambler could squeeze in but it would be pretty tight and would take up a little space from the main compartment
On the Filson site, there seems to be a few comments about the zipper for the main compartment getting caught in the rain flap in the corners. Are you experiencing this when using the bag?
Thank you for watching and good question! I have seen that issue with other bags that I’ve used in the past that had rain flaps but didn’t notice that with this one in particular. Hope that helps and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! I like the harness and the aesthetic of this one a little more and the fact that it has external water bottle pockets, but prefer the durability and weather resistance of the yeti and the organizational layout a bit more
all style and very little substance. Made for the instagram set. At most this is worth maybe around 100; 225 is crazy. You charge as much as a Tom Bihn but you're not making the bag in Seattle like him.
Just looked up Tom Bihn and sure they may be high quality but they don't look like bags that anyone I know would take somewhere like school. Filson makes quality products that also look good and that's what you pay for. Sure there will always be things they could do better but if I was going to spend 200 dollars on a backpack not having much experience with either product specifically I would still choose this one. Again just my take
Really enjoying your channel. Nice clean format and I’m impressed by how much you’ve reviewed
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! I really appreciate the support!:)
i realize I am pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to stream new movies online?
@Leroy Ian i would suggest FlixZone. Just google for it :)
Great honest review as always
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback!:)

I’ve put my 36L rambler in mine
@@19Sd04 I bought this and the duffle in whiskey to match my other bag. Love it.

The fact that a company is called nutsack
Thank you for watching and the name definitely gets some chuckles when I bring that bag to the office :)
250 buck pfff
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point, I agree the price for the bag is a little high!
