- Is the Filson Dryden backpack with the 305.00 CAD price tag? How much are you paying for the Filson name? After researching casual multi-purpose backpacks I decided that the extra money was worth everything that came with this backpack from the leather extras, to the laptop holder, to the nylon quality. This backpack isn't perfect though. I think the other backpacks on the market doesn't offer everything that the Filson Dryden does that is functional and versatile.

The padding you identified on the back is for a rolling suitcase handle, so you secure your backpack on top of your rolling luggage without it falling off.
Someone else called me out for not knowing that too. And I’m so glad it has this feature. I went on a 2 week trip to Korea and this feature was a lifesaver.
I just got mine too. Id say it is overpriced. But I'm also a person who values aesthetics, brand and visuals with quality and purpose. It is still nice to have a useful stuff that I would not feel embarrassed to use or I would really take care of because I really like it. Like using a favorite jacket or shirt, it makes me feel good about myself whenever I'm out of the house etc.
Agreed. Whats the point of buying anything if you don't like wearing it, even if it's a good price. I like the aesthetic, and don't mind overpaying for a stylish backpack.
Bro it’s air mesh to breath so you don’t sweat and the extra pad on the back is for traveling to slide it on a rolling bag and it’s 1000d cordura
Can this fit a 17inch laptop?
No. 15inch would even be pushing it.
I have the Filson Dryden briefcase and it’s a great bag, I was surprised to see the backpack is $30 more. That’s a lot to pay, but the Dryden backpack just looks so damn functional.
Agreed. Very functional. I'm loving this backpack more and more by the day. I don't mind overpaying. I might do another real world review in a few months to highlight everything I like about this backpack.
I have the Ducks Unlimited version, really like it's appearance and colour. Definitely overpriced backpack but hey I don't buy backpack once each year 😄
This backpack is my favourite thing I own. Worth every penny.
You obviously don’t know much about packs I have many GoRuck’s gr1 gr2 and gr3 mystery ranch high ground crye precision eberlestock and a ton of triple aught design which are all over 400$ a piece I have somewhere between 21-25 packs all well over 400 up to 1000$ packs you get what you pay for!
