You missed out on catching the cable car to Mt Fansipan the highest mountain in Indo China, this is a must when visiting Sapa. The atmosphere up there is surreal with the mist swirling around the temples and top of the mountain. One of the most amazing places in Vietnam.
I don’t know how the hell did they spend $100 going on that gondola ride I did the same thing and went all the way up to Mount Fansipan. But I didn’t pay $100. I think it was less than 500 K per person if I remember correctly because I damn sure didn’t spend $100 for two people.

Out of all the places I have seen in Vietnam recently, Sapa has changed the most. It is unrecognizable from my visit in 2001. Amazing how much bigger it is. For example I was never hassled once by taxi drivers and only saw maybe a dozen other tourists in 4 days!!! Happy Travels
What they’ve done to Sapa is similar to what they did Phi Phi island, Thailand! I was in PhiPhi in 1990 and Sapa in 2001, what they did these paradises on earth is beyond words (yeah, the four letter words!). I’m glad that I got to see these God’s countries before the concrete jungles built. Though I do enjoy the modern niceties like that roof top bar and indoor swimming pools, it’s a stiff price that earth has to pay for unorganized progresses and tourist hordes!
A few years ago I had planned to go to Vietnam for 3 weeks, Sa Pa was on my list, was planning to spend 3 nights there but unfortunately I had to cancel my trip, was travelling solo, a day before I was set to go due to a knee injury. I plan to use my itinerary and go there possibly next year. Loving your Vietnam videos and loving seeing Sa Pa
Hi Lloyd & Mandy.. Some years ago, before the cable car was built, an English tour group attempted to reach the summit of Mt Fansipan on foot but unfortunately one girl lost her footing and fell to her death. Nowsaday Fansipan can be reached easily via cable car. Once at the top, the peak soars over the swirling cloud below giving a surreal experience. One greatly impressed vlogger had to exclaim: "If there was a heaven on earth, this is it!" It's a pity you're going to miss an experience of a lifetime.
It was not an English tour group , but only one reckless Brit guy who tried to climb up the Fansipan solo without a local tour guide . The gondola was already there , but he didn`t want to take it and tried to test his physical capacity and endurance . He was not lucky that day and got lost in the cold jungle and fell down in a waterfall there . After 3 days of silence , his girlfriend who didn`t follow him in this adventure , finally called the police for help from her hotel in Sapa . Unfortunately after 6 days of intensive research , they found his corpse with one broken leg , next to a cascade . The Sapa authorities had mobilized over 200 volunteers and sniffer dogs for that rescue operation .
@@hungcuongnguyen293 That could be recent because the cable car was already built. Another fatality, this shows how dangerous it is to climb Mt Fansipan. There are tours organised lasting many days for adventurous tourists who prefer trekking up to Fansipan.

Hi, Lloyd & Mandy. Loving every minute of your vlogs in Vietnam! Beautifully captured with the drone shots. Also, your choice of music is spot on! Have observed that your presentation has improved very much since. Greatly appreciated! Thank you!
The local ethnic people aren’t Mongolian, they’re actually H’mong, or Miao. Their ancestors were probably Mongolic and migrated from the Northern China to Sa Pa, but the H’mong and Mongols are different
We are Hmong but Chinese people call us Miao. Our ancestor are not Mongolian. We have our own culture, tradition and language. We had land but China took it. After the war with China our ancestor fled to Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
It shows Sapa has changed alot from your footage. It's been six years since the last time I was there. As for me, I would like to see Sapa less crowded and less "modernized". If you guys ever come back, I recommend taking the trail to the top of Fansipan. It's quite an exprience. Thank you for sharing and keep it up.
The money you have paid for cat cat was to to help that infrastructure, when I went there in 2010 it was a bridge and a few little huts and the waterfall It was awesome to see how much they have been able to develop the village. We found the food in cafes and restaurants to be really fresh and locally grown it seems like as it has changed a lot and it is so built up, there was no cable car or train etc then and the town was kind of sleepy, there was a lot people selling you anything and everything all in traditional outfits and hiking to local villages with the ladies from that village was the thing you did and the main way they made money it’s kinda of sad to see it’s not like that anymore but also good for the town they are making more money.
OMG-I loved Sapa!! You need to go on one of the toured hikes through the bamboo forest, and along the terrace fields. that was such a cool hike and experience. The hiking area had received rain the day before and the trail was slippery but it was so fun. We were picked up at our hotel and then dropped off at end of the day. There were a couple of different options for toured hikes. I'm sure you enjoyed your time there, I loved it there.

Hi Lloyd & Mandy. Apparently, the Hotel de la Coupole and its attached railway station are owned by SunWorld Group which also operates the funicular and cable car that leads to the summit of Fansipan, rooftop of Indochina at 3,413m. SunWorld group also owns Ba Na Hills entertainment complex in Danang.
Well, the Vietnamese people need to keep it nice and clean. Also, the food vendors must practice food safety and sanitation. Not asking them to learn math or science or anything, they just need to do those things, then the volume of tourists will double, if not quadruple. Now, that is going to be good for your people and your country.
Sapa is a great northern western province of Vientnam! It's beautiful there. The most beautiful places in Vietnam are: Ha Long Bay, Phú Quốc (phu Quoc), and off course Sapa

Hello! May I know which month is the best to go Sapa? I saw many video about Sapa, looks like weather kinda fickle there. If possible to avoid fogs and misty view.
@@afifahzahari6671 in my opinion, September is best month for trips to Sapa, It's still in summer weather in Sapa, there are not much fogs. Especially, ít's the harvest season where travellers will find extreme yellow color on the rice fields all around the town... 😆
@@afifahzahari6671 that's right ! September is at the peak of rainy season of the town. However, in dry days of September, visitors will find a clear blue sky over there. October or November is also a good choice for travelers because there are less rains and the sky is still clear enough. I used to caught many beautiful pictures in Sapa during the end September and early of October. Have a nice trip ! 😆

Next time you come back, hit up Da Lat and Phu Quoc. Also do the Ha Giang Loop on motorbike and do the caving (One Pack Wanderers and Tim and Fin did amazing caving videos).
I love your video it’s just amazing. Thanks
New subscriber. Glad to have found your channel because we are coming to Sapa in mid September so your video is a very good guide for us to follow. You produced some great stuffs. Thank you
Another top video guys. 😎😎👏👏🤩
oh, Soo Beautiful place ..The Room Hotel Elegance..
Love your videos and have been following your adventures for a while. Keep doing what you’re doing guy’s, everything you’re doing is awesome. Great aerial footage, big thumbs up Lloyd and we can’t wait for your next instalment.
Thank you. This was very enlightening as I am planning our trip. Appreciate your suggestions on Fansipan and Cat Cat.
I love love love the Vietnamese aesthetic.
Nhìn trên nét mặt của 2 bạn đã thấy sự tuyệt vời của chyến du lịch Sapa Việt Nam
I love SaPa. I have been there twice but you really missed something by not going on the cable car to the top of Fanispan. The ride up and views from the top are specky. I am enjoying your videos as Vietnam, Bail and Thailand are my favourite places to visit. Stay safe.
Another excellent vlog, thanks for sharing.
So far, this is my favorite vlog of yours. The filming was fantastic...such a beautiful place and that hotel was dreamy. How lucky are you guys?
The town was not found by Mongolian. The french built this town as a vacation town to get away from the heat in Ha Noi back when vietnam was colonized by France. That’s why there is a church at the center of town. You can see the european architecture influences throughout the town.
Old Aussie Mate still punching well above his weight 😉 and that part of Vietnam looks good also. Will have to check it out neck time for sure!
Totally gorgeous places. We are exploring south and central region in our trip in August but MUST return another time to see North Vietnam sooooooo much to see and sooooo little time!
Sapa is really nice place enjoy your time 👍👍❤❤🔥🔥
Such a beautiful place! Love Sapa! ❤️
The weather looks good!!! It was raining everyday when I was there in late May 😅
Tôi thấy hai bạn thật hạnh phúc khi ở Việt Nam. Tôi tự hào về điều đó .
23:10 he meant when you cook the lẩu ( hotpot) you let the soup fully boiled and start putting vegetable in 1st because it takes time to cook . with beep or fish you just need to dip it in like ( 5 ~10 sec for beep ) , and ( 1-2 mins for fish ) . the more you put in , the slower you can eat
Love your videos and always support ❤️❤️👌😍good music 👏
I've been to Sapa 5 times already, and still want to return there... 😆 Thanks for the video !
@@inhtoivu8161 Oh really. but I read on website September is one of the month received rainfall..now I am consider either to go in Oct or Nov 😄
OMG...The roof top is so close the the cloud. It looks like you guys are in heaven :)
I like your videos. They are fun to watch. What drone do you use to capture your videos?
So loving your adventures & humour, great vlogs & camera/ drone shots. Have you guys thought about travelling to India, India gets into your blood, it is an amazing country to explore, & Lloyd the beer is cheap!
Vielen Dank für das Teilen des Videos. Ich möchte gern mal hier besuchen 😍
just been the same hotel this month , nice introduce ! and Sapa , must go , again .
Chúc 2 bạn kì nghỉ tuyệt vời ở Việt Nam 🇻🇳
Some of the comments here are just plain mean and hurtful. We don't know what LLoyd had gone through in his life. Unless we are wearing his shoes, let's not pass judgement and enjoy the marvelous videos that Lloyd and Mandy share with us. A BIG THANKS to you both. { Viet guy from Connecticut, USA. }
That hotel! What? Yes, so good it DOES make me angry! That I am not there! My wife has to see this! We must go! Thank you for sharing! Great drone work.
Were you to interact with local people, your video might be more excited ❤️
I'm Hmong. I live in the US. Love seeing my people on here.
The waiter meant to say let the pot slowly boil up. Once the hot pot is boil up, you dip things in. Boil broth makes cooking faster for anything you put in. And if you feel like its too hot for your taste bud, dim the fire down. Thats some quick tip for yall.
Also make some dipping sauces on the side while youre waiting! ❤💥
@@Hoangsa74 Bro who cares! its a cheap village restaurant that serves anyone. And ppl are more open over there. Just because you are a foreigner, doesnt mean you should be entitled and treated like the president wtf.
You really have a great journey..many nice places.
Good stuff guy's👍
Beautiful place 💖💖
love from Bangladesh 💖
Wow great episode! The drone footage is fantastic - can see the creativity and quality is improving with each video. One thing that we find so annoying, sorry Mandy but can you please look into the camera and not off to the side! You have beautiful eyes and a lovely way of talking/presenting, it’s such a shame that you are looking at yourself when talking.
Nice! So envious of you guys. I was there like 12 years ago….. really nice hotel
Another amazing video of ordinary people doing extraordinary things
Mai Chau should be the next destination mate ! Check it out and have fun ! Cheers,
Nice 😍 good sharing 😊😊😊
Cat Cat Village 🦋 Beautiful
Loved your hotel…..we’re going to sapa soon and I want to stay there ! Thank you
17:45 not Mongolians, H-Mong people, one of many minorities in Vietnam.
