6:20 "I will neer complain about being cold again after 4 months in southeast Asia" ..... A few moments later 12:23 "Too cold, I can't even bend my fingers" LOL
WOW !!!! Afraid I'd be screaming like a little girl in the cable car. Nope, think I'll stay and watch from my couch. You girls keep those videos coming. Awesome !!!
That’s so cool. I’ve been to sapa but that was very long time ago, long before they built the cable car and this whole thing. At that time, the only way to get up there was to hike, usually taking 2 days to get up and 1 day to go down. Another great video.
Congratulations on climbing 3,147 m (10,326 ft) high Fansipan. I didn’t know you could do such a thing until your video. In comparison the highest mountain in Tennessee is undernourished Clingmans Dome at 2,025 m. You should try and climb Jade Dragon Snow Mountain near Lijiang in China. Its 5,596 m (18,360 ft) high. Rather than walking the whole way you can take a cable car that takes you up to 4,506 m (14,783 ft). From here you can stagger on up to a observation platform, at an elevation of 4,680 m (15,350 ft). This is one of the highest in the world. When I reached it about 12 years ago there was a man sitting at a deck who would in return for a small amount awarded you a “gold” medal on which he would inscribe your name. I’m not sure if they still do that. I wouldn’t have made it if I hadn’t used the oxygen bottle that I had rented. Lijiang is at 2,400 m. Spectacular snow clad views. Make sure to try and avoid weekends, book the cable car days in advance (if you can) or get there when it opens (risky, as they are often sold out), take your passport to buy tickets, buy cozy sheepswool gloves in Lijiang and rent oxygen. Apparently there are now some travel agent places that can sell you tickets (for a commission) or you can go to the North gate of Lijiang Old Town and there is a information/ ticketing booth there. Lijiang is in Yunnan province and is wonderful but busy Hoi An type place to visit. Plus you can visit Dali, hike Tiger Leaping Gorge and if you are not prone to attitude sickness continue on to Shangri-La.
I like Fansipan more than Ba Na Hill. It's very amazing!

What a gorgeous place. So glad you had a clear day. Could you imagine how cold it would be if it was rainy?

Hey Jill & Hannah! Do you edit videos yourself or outsource it? I’m an editor and would love to discuss, if you’re interested
