FREAK ACCIDENT PUTS TEENAGER IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM WHILE ON FAMILY VACATION

- Our first day of our family vacation didn't not go as planned at all. Our day started off with unusually long lines at the air port while trying to check our luggage, which resulted in us almost missing our flight. Thankfully we made or fight with just minutes to spare before take off! Our bad luck didn't seem to stop there, once we got to our rental house Austin had a freak thing happen that required us to call 911 and then he ended up in the emergency room. This is definitely not how we wanted our family vacation to get started.

I wish I could give Austin my crutches, but I'm in another country. Best of luck to him and his hopefully speedy recovery.
OMG. This is so upsetting. The knee can be one of the most painful things to injure. I pray Austin will be fine soon.

Yep I went sledding up in palm springs in December about 7 years ago and hit my knee on a rock as I went down a small hill and it was swollen and bruised for a week and a half.
I tore my meniscus so I can agree it suck’s

This same thing happened to me when I was 16. The worst pain I've ever experienced. I was in a cast and wheelchair for months and took forever to get my leg strong again. I hope he heals fast!

Teri I can imagine how hard it must be to see your first born in so much pain because obviously it takes a lot to make a 16 year old cry from being in pain :( that’s why my heart was hurting for both of you! please give us an update soon!

Hang in there mom and dad! I hope he can enjoy the vacation as much as he possibly can. I know you guys will make sure he can. I know that pain very well. When I seen it on Instagram that is not what I thought of at all or hoping. That was me 25 years ago and I was just dancing at fundraiser for a friend. I must have twisted it just right. We got it to go back in but my whole leg swelled up down to the foot. I will continue to keep him in my prayers. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your vacation videos. Have a great day! 🥰

it’s probably even worse when they’re older because you know it must be the worst pain ever because older kids don’t cry for just a little bit of pain :( so hard to watch

OMG I feel so bad for him!! Been there done that many times until I had surgery to fix it, tendons were stretched too much and the groove the knee cap slides along became rough and bumpy from years of popping out and strain of sports! Praying this is the one and only time it happens and he is on the homestretch to feeling better! Also Austin, you were so polite to the EMTs and fireman so hats off to you! I remember swearing at them when they touched me the first time I did it! You are one tough young man!!!

So very sorry to see Austin in such pain wish you and your family nothing but the best we have to address the issues in America right now and in the world the reason the hospitals are so overcrowded with no rooms has to do with the covid and the other viruses that are going on in the world this has nothing to do with politics just a matter of if you and whether or not you are vaccinated or haven't been vaccinated and you're taking up the rooms for other people what should be done that is the main question to be addressed

Had this myself years ago. Knee cap kept going out - pain was on severe level. Had operated on at 15 to "fix" it. I was an elite athlete, so when the operation didn't work, the intense physical therapy did. It's been almost 40 years since then and has never been the same. Still not replaced yet though....so there is that, lol. Good luck to this young man.

Praying for Austin. So sorry this has happened on your first night on vacation. This breaks my heart seeing Austin in pain. I know when my son who was 3 at the time broke his femur last year I was a wreck. So I know that feeling of not being able to see your child in pain and breaks your heart.
Where in Florida are you? I am in central Florida and I have crutches! I was so impressed with Austin saying “Yes Sir” “No Sir” when was in so much pain. He was still respectful to others. We would have understood if he hadn’t been. It was emotional for me to see Austin in so much pain, I ,know it was very difficult for Teri. Mothers don’t want to see their children in pain. I could tell that Clay’s calmness and strength helped all of you get through this ordeal. Praying for swift and complete healing for Austin. My heart goes out to all of you❣️
