Really lovely work, Josh has such high standards. It must take so much effort to get this stuff to the production stage. To some degree I expect the design is the easy part. The actual development and production work must be really involved to have such a well finished product. Ideas are easy implementation is hard.
My motto at NFC is "Ideas are WORTHLESS." But when we we water our ideas with our blood, sweat, tears, and greenbacks then they can bloom into something of worth. Thank you for your comment!
I though that shooting an overhead PC assembly video would be easy, until I tried it myself. It turned out completely unusable, consisting almost entirely of blurry footage of the back of my head! Great job on both the case, and this video guide!
Once AMDs next gen APU come out builds like this will become even more popular. Great work btw. One of the few PC build channels that can also be considered art content.
The S4T - and this one in particular - is a great machine, and gorgeous to boot. It looks, feels, and performs like nothing else I've run. Keep up the excellent work Josh and Eric!
Asmr video. Very relaxing to watch and to listen to. Great product as always Josh 🤯🥳🎉🥰👍 love my S4M and can’t wait for this vase to be available in Australia 🇦🇺 to add to my collection ❤️🥰
@@NotFromConcentrate i paid a premium but its worth it! You have some awesome products! I hope i can upgrade it with a new am5 apu in the future. I may have to get a new motherboard. When ryzen 6k series comes out
So I came here hoping to get answers on where/when I can buy the case but … sadly production has been shut down. Which truly sucks because I really wanted the case.
is there a way to have a second s4t that would house the videocard, liquid cooling and it's own power supply and this one would stay at home. you would connect both together only for gaming at home
I wanted to see front I/O ports and more listings for compatible mSTX options for Intel and AMD (but especially AMD) for when those motherboards become more popular as that motherboard form factor sounds perfect.
Other boards and stuff you can see in my other video on the S4T and there will be more videos at time goes on. But I wanted to get the mini-itx out first for the people ordering them this week :). As for front AND real IO it is completely customizable and you can order whatever you like. Simply shoot us an email. We can do all sorts of artistic and functional bezels.
@@NotFromConcentrate Nice, I have a hard question for you. Is it possible to charge a mini itx motherboard with a simple USB C cable? Could it be done in the future?
Excellent question. Don't worry, it has been taken into consideration. Firstly, the new 400AC unit has an INTERNAL FAN! I requested HDPLEX to make this change so the full 450w of power can be used in this orientation. Secondly, the HDPLEX 400AC can operate at 300w continuously without a fan, which is more than a system like this could ever possibly draw. Thirdly, when using an expansion kit the HDPLEX400 would be oriented differently allowing for even first gen units with an external fan to exhaust. I hope this helps.
I love it, do you ship to Europe or do we still have to wait? What processor would you recommend without compromising the components by excessive heat? (I am noob - 0 builds, I would like it to be the first one). Congratulations for your work.
Still have to wait, sorry. But I'll let everyone know soon on UA-cam when international is ready. The CPU you looking for an APU? Just go big and tune if you need to. Otherwise 65w CPUs work really well. Peace!
What do you think about using the new HDPLEX GaN AC->ATX PSU? It looks like the mounting holes line up with the earlier units, per the HDPLEX site, but there's the question of getting an IEC power plug mounted to the outside wall instead of the barrel jack.
I see on your web site there's a plate I could use for a vertical expansion that fits a Mickey Mouse power plug... the HDPLEX GaN kit offers one of those too so I'm guessing that would work too!
I have the old hdplex 400w dc but I don't have DC "Power Brick" jack. Is there a way to get a replacement cable? The one I have to use the dell power brick is different, it's attached to a little pcb. I used it with the s4 mini.
Im new to the APU world and would appreciate the help. Planning a 5600g with 970NVME drive. What PSU formation would be suitable for me? an internal HDPLEX 200AC+DC combo? I would also like for the on/off swich to be on the front of the case
Yes, HDPLEX 200w Combo is option #1. Second option would be this: j-hackcompany.com/?product=j-hack-one2-plugin-200x-power-kit. Remember to get the fastest RAM you can for an APU build. If you are doing an internal PSU you will need either a different cable for the back of the system or a different backplate, both of which you can order from NFC. Peace!
HDPLEX has a BRAND NEW power supply that is just now shipping, the 250w GaN which is an AC+DC powersupply, and I believe is the world's smallest! You want that! I'll have a video in the new few weeks about it.
There is a hard mount for one 7mm SSD (2.5") on the chassis in the front, but not all builds will be compatible with it. If you run an external PSU with the HDPLEX 200DC I think it is compatible.
@@NotFromConcentrate Oh, thank you!! THen I will figure out when I will get the case! Thinking to direct a plug the older HDPlex AC-DC 160W to the Asrock X300TM. Let's see!

Hi Robbie! It goes in a different case my friend. Either the S4T: Transform Kit, or the S4M, which I am now sold out of. But the base S4T is too tiny for a GPU.
The MINI is not available. I don't have the resources, time, health, or sanity to continue multiple cases during a time where logistics, manufacturing, and raw goods are as crazy as they are. I'm just a guy who is passionate about high quality small form factor builds and I need to be realistic about what I can and can't handle. I'm sorry...I would love to have MINI stock too. Your best bet is to find one on my Discord buy/sell/trade. Peace and good luck out there.
I would love to have one of these, BUT $200 and it dose not even include the power button? Trying hard to build a new APU system, but not at that price.
I understand. I decided to build this as there was a clear lack of high end/luxury APU cases on the market. Lots and lots of super cheap ones though. The S4T is kinda crazy when you think about it as most people building an APU system want something inexpensive. But there is a niche that wants quality--I'm in that niche. So I decided that even if only a handful sell it was worth my time to make something unique. Best of luck with your build my friend. Have fun and make it for you!
Lol, what. Lofi is typically the universally unoffensive genre. Never seen someone hate on it until now 😂 well there’s a first time for everything I guess
Can you time link? I'm not sure what extra hole there is for a 200 COMBO build? But you can order custom backplates however you want from us as an aftermarket accessory.
@@NotFromConcentrate Sure! at 5:00 you install the rear power input, and the hole next to it for a rear power button installation is left open. What do you do with that? Maybe connect another button to somewhere else? I was thinking of putting one on a reset CMOS jumper but not sure how that'd work out, hoping to solicit your experience.
Seeing all that precise engineering fit together is immensely satisfying!

S4 Mini ever coming back? Lots of 3060/ti single and dual fans hitting the market.
What is the difference between external or internal power? Weren't both of them installed on the inside and powered by a cable to outlet?
I remember somewhere you mentioned we could put 2 of this cases side by side. And make a larger case that supports a graphics card. Is that true?

You could probably write HDPLEX and ask to send a little money to cover shipping to get that part.
Or I can cut you a new IO shield for your application starting at $20
In the absence of the HDPLEX PSUs, what would be great alternative to power an APU build in the S4T?
