Just released in the UK. I pre-ordered and it arrived on release day. I am now building a full, hard-line custom in loop in it, Jay didn't say much about the bottom panel - that is where the 3 1/2 inch drive sled goes or you can put a fan there, but I am fitting a 120mm slim rad and slim fan there to complement the 280mm up top. For 280 mm you have to put the fans in the top cage as pull and mount the rad below them, as the cage won't accommodate the length of the 280 rad including the inlet atrium (unless you can find a rad with a really short atrium, I couldn't). A 240mm rad will fit completely in the cage so you can mount with fans push below it or pull above. I'm using a shorter GPU and waterblock so there is room for a small, vertically-mounted DDC/res combo or you could squeeze in a D5/res if careful. I'm still early enough in my planning that I could go that way too, haven't decided yet. For the very largest/longest GPUs (on air) you might have to remove the front I/O mount and the hot-swap 2.5" bay and do with out them. You must remove the top cover before you can open the side top wings, so Jay's arduino idea would be much more complicated.
For these size cases I’d love to see Jay doing a build in it for the review, I’m still waiting for the right close to small form factor that would make me consider going smaller than a regular size atx. There’s not really any reason not to go that size I have a reasonable size desk but I can see reasons to want a smaller case smaller is better if it’s as functional of course,
It’s nice to see a review from you. I am currently using this case for my new pc build and I love the small size of it. Cooling is also okay with 240mm AIO and a 5900x + 3070, in game the cpu gets to about 60c and the gpu 50-55c. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Lan-Cool II case. Its a big sumbitch and holds all the guts of my new butch gaming PC. Keeps things cool and has doors and glass in all the right places. I keep a slight positive pressure so its stayed very clean inside - about a year running 24/7 at this point.
I have never been one for small cases, but this one is tempting. Nice job beating Steve to this one! Maybe a collab to figure out just how good you two can tune the form and function. You work a new build, after Steve figures out the best cooling configurations. After you get Lian Li to sponsor it, of course.
Steve from GAMERS NEXUS is probably one of the top authorities on computer cases and how well they keep components cool. He also has done collabs with Jay in the past.
This came at the right time. I'm planning on doing a build for my wife and she wants a mini system to replace her laptop setup. Would be nice to have this in more colors.
After watching countless reviews on your channel among others I recently rebuilt my system in the Lian Li O11D -XL Case, previously coming from my Phanteks Enthoo M. My god, Lian Li has their shit together. Edit* When Jay was pinging on the Steel plate my dog went absolutely bonkers lol
@@AtomikMenace I also have the O-11 (in white), but the XL was too big for my space. I absolutely love it. Best case I've ever owned. Very heavy though. Feels like they made it out of iron. lol
@@TheOneTonHammer I considered the xl but went regular in white also. It's perfect really. Not a huge case but the space is optimized to do pretty much whatever you want, including vertical mounting a huge gpu of so desired. I really do love the case
Pretty cool. I love my nr200p. The way manufacturers have started making these itx cases with all removable panels makes them easier to build in that most ATX cases.
Lian Li been killing it with the airflow focused mesh cases. Bought a Lancool ii Mesh for my work horse PC and pretty satisfied with the thermals and ease of build.
Thanks for your content. Thanks to your videos i understand PC building enough to want to attempt my own build. I gathered a bunch of older generation components but i figured it would be great practice. I'll be using an MSI GEFORCE GTX 970 Golden Edition GPU that i found brand new at a storage shed auction. I also found two brand new EVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980 KINGPIN Edition GPU's. The components I've gathered are compatible with the 980's however I'm looking to use the 970 first then I'll go about gathering other components to use for the 980's. I figure the more PC's i have the opportunity to build the better.
That's awesome. You're 100% correct that the more you build, the better you will be. It's like anything else, practice make you better. I built my first pc back in 1997 or 98, yes, I'm dating myself horribly, but it was awesome. After finding Jay's channel very early on, I was inspired to get into water cooling and built my first custom loop with a 4790k and 2 MSI GTX 970 Gaming cards and haven't looked back since. I have now built over 50 PC's with at least 15 of them having custom water loops. I will warn you, it is addictive though. 😆 It's so much fun and you take so much more pride in your computer if you build it yourself. I wish you the best with your build(s) and if you have any questions, helping others is the second best part of getting into this, so please don't hesitate to reach out to myself, or most people in Jay's comment section. For the most part, his followers are some of the best and most helpful people out there.
That’d be cool with cheap old SSDs because emulators don’t take up much space. It’d really be best for new games that are +100gb each to save on drive wear.
I am sure they will offer both as options to purchase separately. I kinda like the all mesh on one side and all glass on the other. I would love to see that, especially if it could provide enough cooling to be practical. I love pushing the limits to see what can be achieved, especially in such a small form factor.
SSDs and then m.2 drives have really made this possible. Hard drives used to take up so much space. Now storage can be essentially built into the motherboard.
Such a beautiful case! I went ITX because I got tired of hauling around a midtower when I was moving about once a year. I upgraded my system a couple years ago and housed everything in a SilverStone FTZ01-E. It's much easier to carry around something comparable to a console. I wasn't even taking advantage of all the expansion slots you get with an ATX system so I haven't had to compromise at all.
It'd be neat to see a hardline watercooled build in it. Really kind of show what you can do, maybe even do glass since you picked up that skill awhile ago.
Please discuss/review reversible (inverted) cases. I've always kept my tower to my left and have been recently considering getting a case that allows me to see my components, but there are painfully few reviews or discussions about them.
I'd love to see you doing a build in this one! But if you do, please do an advanced build with custom water cooling for CPU and GPU, I'd really like to learn how to do those builds in such a small case!
Seems like another great case from Lian Li! I'm really liking the modularity modern cases have, it's especially important in SFF cases imo. I built my first SFF in a SSUPD Meshlicious and was blown away how many ways it could be reconfigured.
Your videos have the only sponsors that I don't want to skip because you make them fun and you can tell that you have fun making them. It's not just some forced commentary that you have to spill out
YES do a build in the case. My business uses a ThermalTake core v1 but we might start offering this little jewel. We do a MSI B550i gaming edge wifi. It has TWO m.2 slots and a fan cooler for the m.2 Gen4 and a PCIe x4 slot 128g XPG sx6000 lite OS m.2 in Gen 3 w/ thermal pads which will touch the sub frame > 1TB s50 M.2 for Gen4 for D: storage 32g (2x16g) 3200 XPG D50 mem CL 16. R7 5700G but the case and MOBO can fit a 2.5 slot PCIe x 4 so you could use an 'X' CPU I'd love to see the thermals in this case because that would be a nice alt case to use!
This is actually a really cool case, but I feel like the faults and restrictions of a case don't appear until you try to build in them, so I'd love to see a build in this case and see if any unforeseen problems emerge, plus I'd love to see what you can come up with creatively for this design, especially with the option for dual mesh/dual glass or 50/50 panels.
Hey jay have you ever done a video showing the motherboard wiring on a new build? Getting everything wired correctly is usually where i have some issues.
Wiring in a SFF case is the 2nd hardest thing after fitting your hardware. The key is patience. I use twist ties to get everything where I want it as I can add cables as I go and then replace them with cable ties once I'm done so it has that clean look. Hope that helps.
Yes I'd love to see a build in this case. One thing that bugs me with all windowed cases is the they are designed to sit on the right side of your desk. Meaning the window to see inside can only be seen if the pc sits on the right hand side of you desk. For my desk setup I need a left hand side visible window so that the pc can sit on the left side of my desk. Manufacturers should make there cases have the option to swap the top panel with the bottom panel so that the pc can be assembled in a handed fashion. This one is a sandwich design so you have to decide do I want to see my cpu or do I want to see my gpu.
This case has been, and is now, readily available, in both colors worldwide. It is also comes with EITHER a 3.0 or 4.0 PCIe riser (the latter increasing the cost about 22%). The motherboard mounts 180 inverted (not uncommon for a sandwich ITX). That mounting option allows for reasonable AIO or custom loop top-mounting with few issues. The prices are in the range area of $130 (PCIe 3.0) to $160 (PCIe 4.0) at multiple retailers. Sadly, the NR200P Max used to build Phil's ITX rig ( 2:28 ) two weeks before official launch Sept 16 continues to be a myth in the US, retail-unavailable now-two-months later. I've relinquished all hope for the latter to hit the shelves in the US before Christmas, and have already ordered something different (in fact, the Q58). Even if the NR200P Max does finally reach retailers in the next month or so I expect it to be wildly price-gouged, so better to be safe with options than sorry and/or fleeced.
Lian Li has been killing it in the $100-200 range for a while now. Love my Lancool 2. All Noctua air cooling in a 3700x/3090fe combo and nothing ever gets above 60C while gaming.
Even if he downplayed it, the ability to put a normal sized PSU is what made me watch the full video. Finding a decent small form factor case with it, that doesnt like hot garbo, and breaks the bank... is quite rare. And it's not that the Q58 will win any beauty contests, but the ability of mix\matching side panels is a good compromise. Let me put it like this. I've been considering making a media center PC to fully retire the 10 year old machine that I've been using for that. That has served me well, dont get me wrong. But takes a whole lot of space. If we lived on a normal universe, where prices were not bonkers, and availability for components were also not a factor, i'd 100% pull the trigger on this case. It ticks all the major boxes I want ticked. Thanks for reviewing it, as this was not on my radar.
Thank you sir for this review. Been seriously considering this case with their psu and cooling to match. It would fit well in the entertainment center if I want to use it in our living room.
If the mesh is too small the air flow will not be much. Looks like an old speaker grill size... But again depends on what flow is required so it is fine (imo) for many builds.
I, for myself, am happy there are not that many cases like this are out there. I do disilke small formfactor cases. I want space. Space to put something in, space to work. On the other hand, for me a computer is just a thing in a box under my desk. It does not need to be small, pretty, light up. It has to work, as quiet as possible and within reasonable temperatures. (and no, i do NOT consider 80°C reasonable. my components are way below that all the time)
I love that it has the swappable screens! Even with the ‘split’ I feel like you can design with the division - specifically in the glass. Maybe a strip of RGB lighting or a few to give it a grid effect
Please build in this with a full-size GPU and a high end CPU. I’m curious to see how it fits and then how thermals are when you’re generating a lot of heat/drawing a lot of power

in a similar case to this, the SSUPD meshlicious, the temps are quite good, especially with a custom loop.

With my fans set to silent my CPU is usually in the 60's and the GPU is in the mid 70's. But i'm putting together a Water cooled set up. I originally didn't care too, but I saw a CPU water block that i loved the design of, and now i'm starting to piece together a set up.
As someone who grew up in Queens, NY- the Q58 is possibly the worst bus ever
Jay: This is a standard PSU.
Also Jay: Holds GPU.
A build in that case would be awesome. Loving that design.
That's one really cleverly built little case!
I love cases that are funtional and look amazing, I'd love to see a build in this case!
Thanks, i was literally looking at it the other day, thanks for clearing my worries !
I have never been one for small cases, but this one is tempting. Nice job beating Steve to this one! Maybe a collab to figure out just how good you two can tune the form and function. You work a new build, after Steve figures out the best cooling configurations. After you get Lian Li to sponsor it, of course.
Steve from gaymen's nexus? It's not like he's known for SFF - Optimumtech already reviewed this.
@@FinneousPJ1 Unnecessary, if you have an issue with someone's channel that's fine, but to use hateful speech in a public forum unnecessary.
@@joshuastrader Sorry what?
Steve from GAMERS NEXUS is probably one of the top authorities on computer cases and how well they keep components cool. He also has done collabs with Jay in the past.
@@joshuastrader I am so confused. What was that speech about issues with a channel and hateful speech??
Have a highly customizable case is always a good thing. It allows for more creativity.
I love how Lian Li makes you build PC more enjoyable like solving a puzzle.
This came at the right time. I'm planning on doing a build for my wife and she wants a mini system to replace her laptop setup. Would be nice to have this in more colors.
Jay has shown you how to paint cases. Go wild!
Agreed. I love the layout of the o11 in general.
Jay, you just boosted yourself as my favorite computer guy, after treating the ssd as a Nintendo cartridge. LOL!!!
I like insights on all cases, guess you can call me a fan!
Joke side, thanks for the always easy going but in depth look into STUFF
Being a fan must get pretty exhausting with all the content there is to intake...
I'll get my coat.
Still can't decide if I want this or an nr200p for my first ITX build, the struggle is real
Both are nice, but I think this one is more versatile and would look better in the end. Good luck with the build either way.
I would love to see a build from you in this case
Yes, build yourself an ITX pc. I would love to see it!
you should totally make an emulator build out of that guy, then have a hot swappable drive per emulated system.
That’d be cool with cheap old SSDs because emulators don’t take up much space. It’d really be best for new games that are +100gb each to save on drive wear.
I would love to see a full build in this case with thermal testing. I'm thinking about going ITX for my next build and this case looks perfect.
This case looks amazing I wonder if lian LI sells the glass panels separately so if you go full custom water cooling you could do both sides in glass
I am sure they will offer both as options to purchase separately. I kinda like the all mesh on one side and all glass on the other. If you can find a way to water cool both cpu and gpu, the glass would be awesome on the gpu side or air cool the cpu with the mesh sides and then water cool the gpu with the glass. I doubt there is enough space for radiators to water cool both, but that would be badass! 240/280 would be fine for either part, but not both unless maybe if the rest of the fan slots had crazy strong fans blowing tons of air to feed the radiator fans. Just spit balling.
@@jeffreymonarch1095 ggf events actually did a fully water cooled build in this case with just one 240 or 280 mm rad and a cooler on the pump I didn't catch what his thermals we're like but he was running a reference 3080and an Intel CPU
@@jeffreymonarch1095 You could make a custom loop for the CPU and GPU then put full glass panels on both sides. You’d need beefy exhaust fans to really get the air moving but it’s not impossible.
@@zacklothamer9533 I said I doubt it would have enough space for radiators but would be badass. Never said it's wouldn't be possible. I'll have to check that build out. I would love to see that, especially if it could provide enough cooling to be practical. I love pushing the limits to see what can be achieved, especially in such a small form factor.
Yes, please! I would love to see what you would do with this case!
SSDs and then m.2 drives have really made this possible. Hard drives used to take up so much space. Now storage can be essentially built into the motherboard.
More ITX case builds please.
Please do a build in this case - how hight would you go?
Such a beautiful case! I went ITX because I got tired of hauling around a midtower when I was moving about once a year. I upgraded my system a couple years ago and housed everything in a SilverStone FTZ01-E. It's much easier to carry around something comparable to a console. I wasn't even taking advantage of all the expansion slots you get with an ATX system so I haven't had to compromise at all.
I like this case a lot looks good and seems functional.
Awesome case I really want to see the thermals on it.
Lian-Li knows how to make a damn case
It'd be neat to see a hardline watercooled build in it. Really kind of show what you can do, maybe even do glass since you picked up that skill awhile ago.
Got one of these cases, came from a nr200 and don't regret it it's an awesome case
Yes!! A build needs to be done in that case!! Also go a step further since you have 2 of them, paint the black one. To show how easy that would be.
YES! DO A BUILD! Not everyone gets mad seeing new stuff.
Please discuss/review reversible (inverted) cases. I've always kept my tower to my left and have been recently considering getting a case that allows me to see my components, but there are painfully few reviews or discussions about them.
I would like to see it with full parts Jay, let's do it!
It looks like one of the best mini itx cases I have seen and would love to see a build in it.. heck.,, I would build in it...
Yes we need a build in this case!
That intro sponsorship is so good.
It has TWO m.2 slots and a fan cooler for the m.2 Gen4 and a PCIe x4 slot
128g XPG sx6000 lite OS m.2 in Gen 3 w/ thermal pads which will touch the sub frame > 1TB s50 M.2 for Gen4 for D: storage
32g (2x16g) 3200 XPG D50 mem CL 16.
R7 5700G but the case and MOBO can fit a 2.5 slot PCIe x 4 so you could use an 'X' CPU
I'd love to see the thermals in this case because that would be a nice alt case to use!
Absolutely amazing case. I would definitely like to see an air cooled build in it and some temp readings. Thanks Jay!
I alsow hope for that 👍😁
The big brands are finally learning a thing or two from those niche sff cases
IF you wanted max air flow they sell 2 additional mesh side panels you can buy for full mesh sides on both sides
do a build in it with the vents in all orientationsand bench the results! love this case!
I want one!!! That case looks sooooooo GOOD!!!!
Loved the WW ad man. That was awesome!
I wish I knew about this case when I built an ITX computer for my sister. I have no complaints about the case I used but this case is next level!
So happy to see some ITX love! That will be my next build
Always love seeing more ITX builds!
You need to build an inverted PC my man. There are a few pretty badass inverted cases out there but most you can change the layout of the GPU as well
Still in love with the NR200 max.... how could you get better for a 30-series build? This one and the meshlicious would stifle the blow through
This case has been, and is now, readily available, in both colors worldwide.
How about a 5950x or i9 12900K with a 3080, or ti. See how it keeps up with Temps would be interesting
Lian Li has been killing it in the $100-200 range for a while now. Love my Lancool 2. All Noctua air cooling in a 3700x/3090fe combo and nothing ever gets above 60C while gaming.
Yes to ITX build! More of those! And we need more ITX cases. Would like an ITX case where the motherboard is horizontal rather than vertical
Phil: That's freaking cool
Case: *breaks down from embarrassment*
Case design has gotten so much better these past few years.
That's a nice addition to Coolermaster's NR200 case. I hope we'll see more of those in future.
If the mesh is too small the air flow will not be much. Looks like an old speaker grill size... But again depends on what flow is required so it is fine (imo) for many builds.
4:11 that's the face of pure joy
I just built I this case today! I had so much trouble attaching a 120 fan in the bottom as intake. But over all very happy
(and no, i do NOT consider 80°C reasonable. my components are way below that all the time)
Jay must have 5 computers for every room in his house at this point lol
I love that it has the swappable screens! Even with the ‘split’ I feel like you can design with the division - specifically in the glass. Maybe a strip of RGB lighting or a few to give it a grid effect
14 minutes of Jay making sounds with the case and being happy about it.
Small cases tend to hurt cooling not thru air volume (look at fan cfm numbers) but by making airflow more circuitous and difficult.
Haha the sound of that panel when he thumped it: "Dooooooonnng".
That's a nice solid chunk of aluminum.
