Yet another GREAT video, Chris!! Your channel has become one of my favorite car mod channels!! I LOVE your attention to detail and the fact that you can do ANYTHING with cars!! I first found your channel with the red Z06 build and I was HOOKED!! Wish you had more time to create more awesome content!! You keep working and uploading and I'll keep watching and sharing!! Thanks brother!!
It’s really cool to see professional work done. I am a sheet metal guy for the Air Force and your results are coming from all the excellent technique you’re using. Really nice! 👌👌👌
@@ChrisSullivan69 of course! Where did you learn all this stuff? I am retiring in 4 1/2 years and am considering doing a skillbridge (internship to transition to civilian life) at a place to learn the craft of professional automotive skills.
Yes put the holly screen on the panel. It should look pretty good. You should get a mini split AC system for your shop. Maybe even insulate the shop as well. But a mini split is definitely necessary.
G'day Chris, as a custom car builder and fabricator myself, for the past 17-years, your attention to detail is definitely impressive and appreciated mate. I am OCD AF, and it definitely rubs off on me employees 😢....Although, I reckon that might be good? I've painted an absolute crapload of calipers over the years. I'm just curious mate, why you didn't brand or stencil all four calipers with the same name or logo...Like AP Racing, EBC, Brembo, or a custom logo? Regardless, that blue metallic paint is an absolute beaut of a colour. The metallic flake projects ridiculously under direct light. The deep silver base on your car (is that a Mercedes-Benz colour) with blue accents, looks fuggin gorgeous mate! She just needs to be slightly lowered on all fours, and her rear needs a 12-bolt. Thanks for the great video and amazing content mate. Cheers from Margaret River, Western Australia 🇦🇺.
I’m also a fan of blue…looks great!!! I just have covers over my ‘88 Corvette that I barn found 2yrs ago. Slowly getting her together…eventually I plan I painting the OEM calipers same color blue
Damn half way through it I'm thinking yellow calipers? That is not the right color, then you said blue, and then there you go a big thumbs up, nice choice!!
Getting ready to work on those same brake calipers on my C6 Grand Sport to change the color from the factory red option to.... perhaps the same ZR1 blue? Not sure. Regardless, love your work and the fact that you're continuing to forge forward despite it being basically a holiday weekend. Cheers!
I use one of the one man bleeder things that you can buy from auto zone…its just a littl cup with a magnet that you hose up to the bleeder screw and stick up the cup with the magnet and pump away….they are literally like $7 and work for me every time
Very good job and nice videos like always. Pay attention that your front disc's are both front LEFT disc's! Turbine effect inside the disc will hold the air in the front right instead of ejecting it!
i use both , cover it with the foam cannon then hand wash with the mitt and a bucket full of car wash soap ... you can never have too much soap , keeps from scratching the paint
Revert to the 20oz soda bottle and vacuum line method. Bottle half full with ljne in the fluid. The basic one man bleeder. Do rr ,lr, rf,lf. In that order. Good to go. 👍🏼
So I have a 67 same exact suspension as and I have to recommend getting the ridetech truturn system! If you’re wanting to track your car you can fit a 275 wide FRONT tire with ZERO subframe modifications with the truturn. Just have to get the right offset on the wheel. I love my ridetech
@@shanehoefer7162 I’ll see if my wife can measure my back spacing mine are 18x10 in the front. Only get a tiny bit of rub on full turn if I hit a good size bump or pot hole
Brother i love the car and the idea of swapping to Z06 brakes. Only thing is that in my opinion wouldve been to tie everything together much nicer with custom Camaro stickers .

The bolts are called “socket head cap screws”… always use new pads with new calipers- calipers have to glaze the pads- that’s why they have a break-in procedure. Camaro lookin 👍
use a peice of hose on the bleader and insert it into a 1/4 filled plastic bottle make sure hose in bottle is submerged in brake fluid open bleader and pump the brakes slowly works for me everytime . my favorite is a 20 oz. Coke plastic clear bottle 'with the hose submerged it lets air out but can only suck fluid back .plus you dont need someone to pump the brakes . it never seems to suck fluid back just removes the air . pinch hose when removing from bleader close as you can to the nipple of bleader this will prevent getting fluid on your new painted calipers . OLD SCHOOL TRICK keep master cylinder about 3/4 full and check level after bleeding each wheel .
Chris, what are you looking to get for the old front Willwood brakes? I’ve got a drum brake 68 Firebird. I’m in VT to visit the parents, so pick up might be an option. Great video as always! You could try gravity bleeding the brakes.
hey brother I love your channel!! I just bought myself a 69 Camaro! can you please consider adding the links to the websites you bought the parts from!
Hey Chris, another great video my dude. QQ. Me being fairly new to the custom car scene, why use Corvette stickers instead of Chevrolet? I mean is that even a thing? lmao! Thinking it's a badge of honor of sorts maybe? Anyways, great video and a really great color BTW...oh, get them brakes bled will ya?!?!??! Cheers! =)
If i didnt live on the west coast id offer to buy them willwoods from ya!!! Theyd work great on my nova…..nevermind i just heard u say drum brakes…i have a disc car
38:50, a year later, I'm doing the same thing I could've been enjoying 4th of july weekend but noo I had to take my car apart to do bigger brakes and didn't even finish cause my wheel offset was miscalculated 🤣
Hey, I'm new to the channel so may have missed you talking about it previously. I was wondering what kind of brake booster and master cylinder you run on your car? I've got a 77 camaro project and was lookin at doing a C5/C6 brake upgrade kit but wasn't sure what booster and master cylinder to run. I've got a work to do but also hope to gear my 77 toward pro touring. Thanks for any feedback, super sick car!
Man started watching your videos about 10 months ago and have really enjoyed them. I was curious what car lift you’re using in your shop? It looks a little lower then a standard lift and might fit my garage.
Was there no way to do something else with the lettering on the big calipers? Seems weird having the "Corvette" so prominent on a Camaro. I realize they were Corvette brakes, but was there no way to do some other lettering to hide the Corvette part?
Love this car, How is the regular car paint holding up to the heat of the brakes? I am not sure I would have used corvette stickers but all in all like everything else you do man great work.
Were you reusing those crossover lines or were you able to find some new ones. In thr middle of a big brake swap and one or the crossover lines was damaged

Im with you what a beautiful color blue , Blue is indeed my favorite color
Literally did a similar BBU to my '06 Yukon Denali with rear o.e. Brembo C7 Corvette calipers/pads, offset brackets, 14-18 GM Truck rear rotors, '22 Tahoe PPV front 6 piston calipers(also Brembo)& 16" front rotors & pads(direct bolt-on). 20" wheels required, stainless steel braided brake hose kit too. Stops Flawlessly. TCI: $2400.
all that on an 06 yukon ?? no offense but the whole car is only worth about 2500 bucks
