    I just tried the baby powder trick and pulled off all of my paint as if I had stuck on duct tape! Very disappointed, but to each their own. Maybe I need to rub it in more, I don’t know.

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  Рік тому +1

      Yeah not sure. I refinish all my models this way with no issues. I can’t tell you how many hundreds of others have tried it with amazing success. Try it again. Maybe you just have a really poorly painted plane prior to you getting it. Not sure 🤔

    Sorry but it is a good idea however I would remove the baby powder fro. The area that is being painted, by leaving the baby powder your messing with the moleculer adhesion, ie the paint may stick for a little bit but won't be on there forever

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  3 роки тому

      I get what your saying but saw zero difference in the area that was or wasn’t painted. The paint absorbs what’s there and it stuck just fine. It’s not like your coating them whole plane with scoops of powder. You focus on the area that’s getting tape. Multiple planes, multiple tests

      @@JustPlaneCrazy my preferred method for a clean cut line is to put down a little bit of the base coat first over the tape's edge to seal it, then add your stripe and peel. That makes the perfect cut line.
