I love these long ones! I’m partially disabled and I look forward to your videos every week. It reminds me so much of when I was young and your age. I so miss the camping adventures we used to go on. Through you and a few others I feel like I’m still enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Thank you from an old lady who misses doing things like this so much. Never take it for granted. Take care and stay safe out there. 🥰
Shelly, I so relate to you. I am a 72 year old who's brain says "hey you are only 30, go solo camping!" But the arthritic body just laughs. I have to enjoy my wilderness camping via video now. I can get out for day trips but camping alone is not really an option.

Your videos make me feel calm and like everything was gonna be ok through a very depressing and isolated time in my life - as I'm sure many can relate. Hey Anna snap I found matt in the may of us being lockdown wit covid+turning all our lives around to scary times of us not being able to be wit our family+friends+doing the simple things in life eg like going the shop but being on my own wit my autistic daughter was so very hard she struggled really bad and watching Matthew's videos calmed me down making me laugh falling in love wit 2dogs I would never ever meet after very stressful days an for that I will never be able to thank matt enough for that💙💙him monty rugz and funk are my saving grace I did panic when I got to watching all his video as I was like what do I do now so I rewatched them again😂😂😂😂his video wit his dad an brother I've watched loads as I love watching them together+after watching his video I am proud to say I've had us out camping twice although it's not the same camping in England especially for the wild life 💙💙💙💙

Great moose footage! In winter they eat shrubs, even some conifers and in summer aquatic vegetation. Going in water also keeps the blackflies and mosquitoes off. That one may have been young, so not full size yet. Matthew, you are sneaky with those underwater "tropical reef" shots.
Opening montage was very well edited. That transition from stepping in the mud to underwater footage was great!
Not gonna lie that turtle transition melted my brain for a minute 😂😂 well done 👌🏻
I really like the long, detailed video. Can't wait for part 2! I like that you fish a lot and talk a lot. Makes us feel like we're really part of the adventure!

I have been watching for year Mat and Monte and you bring an old man peace and a way to relive my youth. I Lived in Michigan for over 40 years and I used to do the same type of adventures that you do except I did it in the 70s. I think my best summer up there was 1973. I also have been to the same Lakes and streams and even some campsites that you do. Thanks for sharing your adventures with me.

I got a rough collie when I was 7 years old. He lived for 14 years. Great dogs.

I could have swore that underwater clip was a sea turtle above a sandy bottom as it lacked front feet ... instead clearly had flippers..

I noticed the sandy bottom too but quickly assumed he was near some ocean inlet. Won’t fall for that one again, next time he’ll have to use a different jig. 😉

It never ceases to impress me what an amazing Good Boy Monty is, he was so calm & accepting whilst going over all those Beaver Dams, just sat there watching the world go by. He only got upset once with the Moose & then, when you went swimming, even though he's seen you do it hundreds of times, he was concerned & wanted to rescue you 💙🦊.
His little noises & groans when you fuss him are so cute & then he let's you play drums on him 😊.
I've been watching your videos for years & years now & Monty still surprises & impresses me.
And don't even get me started on his outrageous fluffyness 😄😄🦊🧡

Matt and Monty, it's so cool that you got to do an extended trip. Look's like you had fun. My father and I did a extended fishing trip. We were fishing for Tiger Muskie in New Mexico. It was a blast
I remember years ago, i was sleep deprived, had to drive home for about 2 hours from work... I was nodding off while driving. It seems easy in theory but taking that decision to stop and take a nap, while mentally impared because of lack of sleep, is not easy. Its a wise and experienced decision that could save your life and others.. 👍

@@No_mans_flies Not sure I understand you. We have far more wilderness here in Australia due to our smaller population. Different vegetation because we are closer to the equator but we still have temperate forests and heaps of fishing grounds though not as many lakes.

Great vid! Yeah, trying to get closer to a bull moose is how you don’t come home from a trip. A bull moose in rutting season is 1500 lbs of pure rage with no off switch.

Part 1 was great. The moose scenes are awesome, especially the replays. It was also amazing how clear the boundary waters are, looking just like a coral reef. Looking forward to parts 2 and 3.
