That is what makes the video to a story, instead of random clips. We talk about flying to Algonquin to paddle. What gear do you bring from home and what do you rent on site?
Enjoyed that one Eze....what a great adventure! I bet it took some planning, but so worth it to be alone in the wilderness with all that wildlife too. Well done mate
Thanks so much buddy!! Honestly didn't take too much planning was a mega IMPULSIVE one. Saw really cheap airline tickets to Toronto, incredible weather window and bought the ticket 4 hours before departure time (and packed my bags in about 1 hour and rushed to the airport, it was nuts lol)
Breathtaking landscape. Who hasn't got their old and new girlfriend's name mixed up before... "no, she's not as pretty as you (but she could ride the rapids better)". Thank you Eze. Yet again: amazing journey, outstanding photography, entertaining and informative. What a truly beautiful place to have travelled through. Until the next adventure 🙏🏽 Sorry to sound greedy, but I would love to see a 'Prep for the journey' video - how you sort out transporting paddles on a plane, getting to where are going, booking a canoe/kayak at your destination, what food will I need, which maps... planning sort of thing...
ahahah that's brilliant!! I apreciate it! Really would love to do those sort of videos but honestly speaking, they tend to do really badly... I appreciate you are into the detail ( I am too!) but the sad truth is most of the audience out there have a much shorter attention span, and I need to take that into account if I want to tickle the algorithm and grow the channel... Gotta love UA-cam!! Maybe I'll find the way to incorporate more of that information in a concise and entertaining way, will give it some thought!
Eze, this is wonderful, the colours of every view stunning, camp scenes, portages, waterfalls, storytelling... you are a film maker extraordinaire. Loved the moose, Canada geese, loon, chipmunk, beavers... we don't have any of these. Thank you again and again for the extra time and effort of taking us with you. Maple did a good job. Loved Yukon with Bethany too.
Hey my friend, I’ve always wondered what eze was short for. That was an awesome trip, my wife has paddled there, I’m very envious lol. One day I’ll get to paddle it. The autumnal colours looked fantastic
You’re enthusiasm is truly infectious and we are lucky to have Algonquin park to explore. I did a trip the first week of October this year in the north part of the park and paddled in snow. I think you went the perfect time and maybe I’ll try mid September next year. Keep making these videos and telling these stories. It makes it easier to make it through winter when we can get out in the park again. Thanks
Oh man you must have gone right after me!! Hope it wasn't too brutal, I saw the temps plunge in the forecast. Yeah the weather's always tricky I was very spontaneous with this one, buying the plane ticket 4 hours before departure!!
@@EzeAdventurer wow that is incredibly spontaneous! I live less than a 4 hr drive to Algonquin Park and I seldom go last minute but if you can fly from the UK, drive to the park and deal with time changes and the stress of travel I am going to try and be more spontaneous next year. Cheers
My mother took a popup tent on wheels with five young children to Algonquin. We would watch the black bears visit the camp dumpsite in the evening. The bears would visit the campground at night! We went on to St Sue Marie and then stayed at a Canadian campground near Lake Ontario. Got to visit Montreal and saw my great grandfather, he a painter of scenery of Montreal. We returned through Lake George, NY to Washington, NJ. Wonder why you don't save the water you have cooked for drinking. Wouldn't it be safe to drink.😊
Eze that was a Brilliant video loved everything about it your adventures are something I look forward to seeing thanks for sharing your adventures with us mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
After your trip with the UK boys I knew you'd be back. Algonquin is that kind of place. The loons still call me. I've done that same loop several times but I always went up the Nippissing and down the Petawawa back to Cedar. I've stayed in several of the same campsites. That site at the top of Burnt Root is one of my favorites. There is a path from there back to the bottom of the rapids where the fishing is the best in the park. I'm surprised you didn't visit the root cellar there, it is a magical spot.
Nooooo lol don't tell me a great fishing spot was RIGHT by me!! I was distracted and didn't explore the trails enough nooooooo!! Yeah and missed that root cellar too shoot!! Will have to go back some day!!! Magical indeed!!
We had spectacular fall colours in Ontario this fall. You have been bitten by the Canadian canoeing/camping bug for sure. Yukon and Algonquin in one season. The bull moose are in rut in the fall, so calling for a cow, but also can be very agressive. SO much more to see in our great land! Great video as always.
Absolutely breathtaking. The Autumn colours bring warmth to the heart. I know you appreciate how blessed you are to be able to do these trips. Enjoy every minute you can. All the best mate, see you on the next one. ❤
Great to see a new video from you! May I suggest you work on your Bear Hang. I suggest the hanging bag is ten to twelve feet from the tree trunk. Safe adventures and travels to you Sir.
thanks so much!! I know re the bear hanging you're right. The truth is, the gap between the theory and practise sometimes is too wide to bridge. Like having the right trees, or having the skills and time/energy to set up a line from two trees etc when a single tree isn't adequate. Also, given all my food is dehydrated and vacuum sealed, I do feel my exposure was minimal. Thanks for watching!
Another great adventure Eze! Just so peaceful and beautiful with the changing of the colors of the trees. I want to experience what it’s like to just be immersed in nature without another human around. Your videos take me away for a while away from this crazy world. I love that your videos are like watching a movie! Thank you and look forward to watching your next trip.
Go for it!!! You'll be immensely rewarded if you do!! You can start small, by camping somewhere close to your car if you need the eject etc. Then build from there. That's how I began! Yes, we all need a break from this crazy world indeed... the problem is coming back to reality!
Really enjoyed this Eze. I really think it’s my favorite so far. Thanks for taking us along, man. It has me daydreaming about my next Algonquin solo slated for spring!
O Eze what a nice surprise when I put the tube on this evening. so nice to see u back, we’ve missed u and your adventures. It looked stunning with all the colours in the trees and the wildlife. I did think o well least he’s not had beaver Debris to clamber over this time then the fallen tree popped on the screen lol 😂 Maxx
Thanks so much Max!! Yeah kept this one quiet... lost my mind and got on a plane to Canada lol. The air fare was almost the cost of fuel to drive and return to Scotland and the rivers were in spate! Haha yeah one beaver obstacle just to keep things interesting!! Thanks for your support as ALWAYS!
@@EzeAdventurer o wow that’s unbelievable to get flights at that price. Y not I no I would have done if I could lol. O I forgot to say that was a bight naughty mixing Bethany up with maple, they where so different in every way, maple didn’t give you any back chat lol 😂
Eze look who’s back at what he loves!! Enjoyed this with a nice glass of wine. Hope your family’s safe and health. Enjoying your Adventures. Waiting for some weather to break to hit the lakes and river around me. I moved recently moved from the Seattle area. So retired and have lots of time to canoe. I actually just pick up a new Old Town Adventure 158. Not worries about weight. It was more about not spending 4 k for a Porsche lite and fast and dragging it over rocks. LOL. Around Bend Oregon out !!
Enjoy your videos. I did that exact same route in summer ‘22. The Unicorn Hill portage darn near killed me (I’m a senior) but Whisky Jack Lake made it all worthwhile. Heading to Killarney this year. Safe paddling and keep up the videos.
Fantastic trip Eze, superb wildlife n moose encounters, great fishing n absolutely beautiful colours. What a great time to go adventuring over there. Well done Eze, you're flying on youtube now and it's all well deserved mate. Great content. Atb fella, Rick n Billydog 👍
Thanks so much buddy I really appreciate that Ricky! Yeah Canada is just so beautiful and Algonquin in low season, in good weather is just stunning. We still have to meet sometime!! Long overdue, but our paths will cross!
Great weather for that time up there!!! wanting shade at the end of September and swimming. Your loop was our first trip around 2000. We didn't know what we were doing, didn't know the canoe was suppose to go on our head. I remember an uphill monster to begin, and our first campsite on trout Lake, and losing my $300 oakleys on the nipissing, and a quaint old quiet outfitting office, but can't recall anything I just watched. In all these years I have never camped on a river or swam in one. It's probably WAY more likely to see a moose though. Maybe a bear too. TY
Hahaha sounds like you had an awesome trip, full of new experiences and bulldozing into awesome personal growth!! That's the way! Yeah I do think the rivers usually make the wildlife viewing more probable, cos they cross from side to side and kind of bottleneck wildlife sometimes around certain passings.. Both moose seen were on rivers on this trip. Petawawa and Nip.
Thank you very much! Yeah I really tried to up the pacing of this one and change it up, so I'm glad to hear you liked it! Will keep experimenting and learning how to deliver the best possible experience! Thank you!
Ey up buddy! Hope you're feeling well and wishing you speedy recovery mate!! Eat lots of greens like Kale , they are massively full of anti-inflammatories and will supercharge your recovery! Avoid too much meat, dairy consumption!
Thanks for sharing! I did a very similar route to you in mid September, but headed south on Burntroot to go through La Muir and Hogan before going back up to Catfish. Your video brought back a bunch of awesome memories.
I have an ambition to hear a common loon, seen many off W coast of scotland but they only make that call on breeding grounds,il have to visit this place.!
So very beautiful! Loving the scenery and the colours. An awesome video and adventure really makes me want to go back. Can't believe you called her your ex by mistake 😂 good thing it wasn't on day one or it would have been an awkward trip. Take care bro, see you soon, Paul.
if you get back to Canada and want to do a trip in Temagami next summer hit me up. About same distance to Algonquin but Temagami has some more isolated areas, even peak seasons.
Hey Eze! Good to see you 😊 Beautiful country and it looked like a wonderful trip. Best season of the year for it too You reminded me that Koen the Dutch explorer says Why do the rivers go down but the portages go up? 😆
@@EzeAdventurer I would rather prefer the inflable one... What about the 1 kg the germans are offering? Seems very practical... Would you recomend it for the lakes in Bariloche?....Thank you!
@@paupaunaiaipaulanye8999 I think beware of any very light weight ones, as they will be made using lighter, thinner material. Which is more likely to puncture! If it's just for floating on a lake, then you'll be ok. But if you're doing an expedition, any river travel etc, you want something robust enough to withstand the pressure, dragging on rocks, trees, sticks, thorns etc!!
@@EzeAdventurer Yes, of course, I had a 15 kg one that was stolen.... But Im aiming something more practical as I travel in my bike. Thank you! ( By any chanse, are you related to Carlos Diego Romano?....So similar....)
Man these canoe videos have really inspired our family to take a trip! Could you post the time of year your taking these trips in the videos whenever you make a new one. Like it’s Mid August or Mid September? We want to do this trip but we would love to catch it around the same time you took this video. What month was this? The info added to your videos helps us plan trips like this too😅
Hey bro, have enjoyed watching all your videos. Awesomely inspiring. 🤙 I've often wondered what gear you take with you and what you sort out on arrival. Canoe hire is obviously the latter, but do you take your own paddles? Maybe a video concept, sharing some tips and tricks of planning and arranging canoe trips? I'm sure you've learned a lot over the years! 😎👌 Keep up the good work man!
I do take my own paddle but that's not really necessary ! I try to sort out as much as possible before arrival, opting for mostly dehydrated (home) meals nowadays. Keep your kit down to a minimum, be brutal, you'll be glad later in the field.
@@EzeAdventurer I'm accustomed to wild camping and canoeing trips in the UK. I'm keen to venture further afield now though, which you've been a fantastic inspiration for, so trying to suss out the planning bit now. 👌 Keeping kit to the essentials is always a good rule of thumb. I bet you've learnt a lot about the pros and cons of transporting kit abroad, huh? 😁
Thanks! The pac boat is great, but I still haven't been able to source a yoke for it! Also this was a super impulsive last minute trip from UK to Canada so had to streamline the process and gear as much as possible. For quite a few reasons, this was the best way to go for me !
My only problem with your videos is that every time i watch a new one im automatically wishing I was out on the river. Maybe ill be able to get out there later today? Anyhow, another great video buddy! Keep on putting these bangers out my guy!!
Don't fool yourself, logging in Algonquin is still alive and well. There's nothing like portaging and canoeing for 5 days and coming across a logging road and seeing a couple of semi's hauling fresh cut trees out of the park. There is no such thing as pristine in Algonquin, there are several private cottages and logging roads throughout the park.
You are making a LOT of peolple very HAPPY. ❤❤❤
Makes ME happy to hear that too!!
God bless..🙏🙏

Really would love to do those sort of videos but honestly speaking, they tend to do really badly... I appreciate you are into the detail ( I am too!) but the sad truth is most of the audience out there have a much shorter attention span, and I need to take that into account if I want to tickle the algorithm and grow the channel...
Gotta love UA-cam!! Maybe I'll find the way to incorporate more of that information in a concise and entertaining way, will give it some thought!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate how long it takes to make and edit these amazing videos. Your doing a great job 👏
Thanks buddy appreciate it! @@Bokooda
I love your in-water recovery! Such a smooth stroke, and very quiet!
Thanks so much!!
Fantastic! I really enjoy your Canadian travels!
Happy to hear that! Thank you!!
Eze thanks for the video as a Canadian I really appreciate how you show the beauty in our country 🙂, and Hi Niki thanks for sharing Eze with us 🙂
My pleasure! And will extend the thanks to Niki, she's really amazing for making these adventures possible!
Thank you so much 😀 that's super kind of you, it's a pleasure sharing with you buddy!
Maple did a good job, especially after I called her Bethany!
Once again an awesome video! Thanks Eze!! Keep the videos coming!!
Thanks my friend Will do!
Hey my friend, I’ve always wondered what eze was short for.
That was an awesome trip, my wife has paddled there, I’m very envious lol. One day I’ll get to paddle it. The autumnal colours looked fantastic
Thanks buddy!! appreciate it! Totally hope you can paddle there soon!
Cheers
Someone lucked out on the weather! Plenty of Rut Moose love. No bugs...best time of the year. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for watching! Absolutely ridiculous weather, was insane!! Best time of the year for sure!!
My mother took a popup tent on wheels with five young children to Algonquin. We would watch the black bears visit the camp dumpsite in the evening. The bears would visit the campground at night! We went on to St
Sue Marie and then stayed at a Canadian campground near Lake Ontario. Got to visit Montreal and saw my great grandfather, he a painter of scenery of Montreal. We returned through Lake George, NY to Washington, NJ. Wonder why you don't save the water you have cooked for drinking. Wouldn't it be safe to drink.😊
Sounds like you’ve had amazing adventures!!! Those trips sound epic!! Thanks for commenting!!
Eze that was a Brilliant video loved everything about it your adventures are something I look forward to seeing thanks for sharing your adventures with us mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Awesome, thank you buddy!! Hope you're doing well and enjoying the outdoors as always!!
Definitely got the BUG!! Yes I know re rut season haha didn't really want to be in the way of a bull!! Thanks for the support as always!
Fantastic, I loved this. Great filming.
Thank you!
Absolutely breathtaking. The Autumn colours bring warmth to the heart. I know you appreciate how blessed you are to be able to do these trips. Enjoy every minute you can. All the best mate, see you on the next one. ❤
So true buddy!! Thanks so much, I hope the misses is doing well and sending you both much much love.
Great adventure. I hope to visit Algonquin one day.
I hope so too!!!
@@EzeAdventurer ❤️
Really enjoyed this Eze. I really think it’s my favorite so far. Thanks for taking us along, man. It has me daydreaming about my next Algonquin solo slated for spring!
Awesome, thank you, so kind!! GO get that book planned buddy!!
Another fantastic trip to Algonquin. Loved it. Well done the best adventures!
Thanks a ton buddy! Hope you're well!
Nice 🥰 My backyard! How did I get so lucky 😊
Totally! Algonquin is soooo beautiful
Nice vid! Enjoyed it!
Awesome, thank you!
Very fine video. Beautiful images of a pristine landscape! Keep up the good work Eze!
Glad you enjoyed it! Pristine indeed, food for the soul to see such beautiful places still exist!
Serene and beautiful! My idea of perfection. Many thanks
Thank you!!!
Another beautiful video as usual. Thank you
Thank you too!!
Awesome re your canoe buddy! Hope you get out there asap to enjoy without doubt the BEST form of travel!!
Moose rut at that time of year, it was checking you out for love.
Clearly wasn't very impressed by the offer LOL
Enjoy your videos. I did that exact same route in summer ‘22. The Unicorn Hill portage darn near killed me (I’m a senior) but Whisky Jack Lake made it all worthwhile. Heading to Killarney this year. Safe paddling and keep up the videos.
Hahaha gotta love that unicorn portage!! Good on you mate for completing the route! Totally worth it as you say. Have an amazing trip in Killarney!!
@@EzeAdventurer yeh definitely Eze, look forward to it 👍
Have a great weekend 🙂
Incredible video!
Thanks a lot! Shabbat shalom!
I spent 3 days there was such a fun cano trip
Awesome!!
Gorgeous trip!! Enjoy so much of everything!! Good job!! ❤😊
Thank you!! 😊
So well done. Each clip better than the last. And superb editing.
Thank you very much! Appreciate it!
Beautiful fish and maples! Loved the camera work and the flow of this video!
Thank you very much!
Yeah I really tried to up the pacing of this one and change it up, so I'm glad to hear you liked it!
Will keep experimenting and learning how to deliver the best possible experience!
Thank you!
Amazing journey Eze. Thank you for sharing it with us.. your videos inspiring me to go for Canoeing ..
Great to hear! You should Go for it!!
Hi mate
At home after hip replacement surgery. Watching your brilliant videos. Off til January 😀 Thanks for your hard work 👍
Ey up buddy! Hope you're feeling well and wishing you speedy recovery mate!! Eat lots of greens like Kale , they are massively full of anti-inflammatories and will supercharge your recovery! Avoid too much meat, dairy consumption!
Good advice 👍
Thanks
Thanks for sharing! I did a very similar route to you in mid September, but headed south on Burntroot to go through La Muir and Hogan before going back up to Catfish. Your video brought back a bunch of awesome memories.
aaah yeah I saw that variation possibility. Having seen my version, and done yours, what would you have done if you had only 1 option?
Great video! Not sure how you do it but it almost feels like I’m there. Nice job 👍🏻
Aaah thanks so much buddy appreciate it!
I have an ambition to hear a common loon, seen many off W coast of scotland but they only make that call on breeding grounds,il have to visit this place.!
You won't be disappointed!!
I’ve done that unicorn hill portage 3 times, never gets easier lol
Hahah yeah it just keeps going lol!
This is as Canadian as it gets... Moose, geese, beavers, maple leaves changing colours.
Was a v special experience!!
So very beautiful! Loving the scenery and the colours. An awesome video and adventure really makes me want to go back. Can't believe you called her your ex by mistake 😂 good thing it wasn't on day one or it would have been an awkward trip. Take care bro, see you soon, Paul.
Hahahaha I know, poor Maple!! That would have been super awkward 😂!!
See you soon brother 💙
if you get back to Canada and want to do a trip in Temagami next summer hit me up. About same distance to Algonquin but Temagami has some more isolated areas, even peak seasons.
Thanks so much!! Temagami is def on the list!!
I am your new subscriber watching your video from Bangladesh
Thanks and welcome!!
Hey Eze! Good to see you 😊 Beautiful country and it looked like a wonderful trip. Best season of the year for it too
You reminded me that Koen the Dutch explorer says Why do the rivers go down but the portages go up? 😆
haha yeah exactly he's got a great point!!!
So enjoyable the whole...( Suppose you couldn´t take the 5 kg inflable kayak with you?...!)
Thanks for sharing
You could do it in an inflatable if you wanted, but the terrain is better suited for a hard canoe for sure.
@@paupaunaiaipaulanye8999 haha not related
Man these canoe videos have really inspired our family to take a trip! Could you post the time of year your taking these trips in the videos whenever you make a new one. Like it’s Mid August or Mid September? We want to do this trip but we would love to catch it around the same time you took this video. What month was this?
The info added to your videos helps us plan trips like this too😅
Definitely !! This was end of September!!! Spectacular time of year to go !!!
Genial amigo Eze. Muchas gracias por habilitar sub en Español. Se disfruta mucho más tus aventuras.
Gran Abrazo desde ARGENTINA👍
Que bueno!!
Hey bro, have enjoyed watching all your videos. Awesomely inspiring. 🤙
I've often wondered what gear you take with you and what you sort out on arrival.
@@chriswillson99 yes mate, honestly just get to the start line, the rest is easy!
Algonquin Park is an ideal place to start, highly recommend it!!1
@@EzeAdventurer travel time must be about a day either end huh? Do you hire a car from the airport?
46:55 Canada Goose....
indeed :-)
Good video as ever but disappointed that you are using hard shell canoe when you have the Pacboat canoe. Scenery look brilliant.
Thanks! The pac boat is great, but I still haven't been able to source a yoke for it! Also this was a super impulsive last minute trip from UK to Canada so had to streamline the process and gear as much as possible. For quite a few reasons, this was the best way to go for me !
Did you hear any common loons calling on the lakes?
You did! Ha i missed it just after the owl.
yeah!! soo beautiful!!
Also! No bugs!! What time of year was this trip to avoid them?
Late September!
@@EzeAdventurer wow, earlier than I thought!

haha yeah same, I wanna get out there!!
Yeah I guess so. Some areas look pristine though but yeah, it doesn't truly feel wild, but given the accessibility it's pretty amazing
