hmm. my mechanic just did an oil pan gasket. everything was ok. so, I said let's go ahead and tune it up and get new plugs and wires. He said, "there is oil in the spark plug". But why didn't it smoke before? AND, why is it smoking from the middle of the engine and not anywhere near the spark plug?

maybe changing the gaskets too u probably have an internal leak like antifreeze goes into ur pistons and then ur going to have tons of smoke and it doesnt smell good
what if its smoking because oil is leaking onto the exhaust pipe?
I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee v6 4 liter and the power steering pump and hoses blew and it caught on fire but we replaced all of that but my motor smokes white smoke if I drive it for a little bit like not long at all but my temp gauge says it’s not over heating but when I opens the hood it flowed out and was really hot but it’s never been on fire besides the pump blowing. Can you help me
I just discovered yesterday my'04 civic blows a bit of black smoke at higher revs. The oil was also a little low. It's probably been burning a bit over the past couple of months, and never used to do that about three months ago. I heard that this could be because the fuel mixture is too rich with not enough air getting into the engine. I will try cleaning the air filter tomorrow. I also heard that it may be some kind of fuel sensor or a bad fuel injector. It's also winter so I don't know if that has any bearing. It's just hard to tell if your car's blowing smoke in the winter, but being that yesterday was warmer, it was shocking to see a lower oil level and black smoke when I revved the engine. If this has been going on for a month or two, can this have done serious problems to the engine?

What the fuck kind of video is this lol your engine will smoke like crazy off of sensors being bad, off bad valve seals and bad valve cover gaskets. Not all of those are pricey and none require a new engine.
Pcv Valve is another cheap fix that causes engine exhaust smoke.
