    Cool video! I did the same thing, kinda. Bought an F2 that was basically destined for the junk yard, and I put it together and found some fairings. Next thing you know, I'm riding it for two years and it's still going strong! Ride red ;)

    Dude... serious respect. You put that baby together in about the same time I'd change a spark plug! Lol... AND alone! I've a nice F1 Cibber. Great bikes... as your vid drew to its close, I started thinking... All he needs to do is make sure he rides it away... you did. Result!

    You Sir make me wish I knew something about mechanics.
    I'm on the market searching for a '98 F3 and this video is perfect to see that it's a fun bike to work on and still a great bike to ride.

    Awesome ... it looks kinda scary first with all the hoses and wires hanging down but then as everything is attached where it belongs it´s nice to see how a whole bike regains his shapes and forms ...

    • @mrmaxstorey
      @mrmaxstorey  10 років тому +1

      Haha yeah and when those fairings go on, all the hanging wires and hoses definitely look a lot neater

    • @Iboo30
      @Iboo30 10 років тому

      Yeah sure, but I hate fairings on motorcycles, currently I have an Aprilia RS 125 and always removing the fairings to do some small repairs is really annoying ... I am going for a naked bike, when I sell this, much easier to maintain and a lot less tech than a sports bike (the older ones at least) :)

    Just did valve clearances and timing is perfect but now the exhaust valves are sticking open and slapping shut.... It sat for a few days with the head open to air. Is it possible they are just gumed up or did I somehow bend the valves? There an easy way to tell for sure?

    Hey I'm 16 and I've been rebuilding older bikes the past couple years (and making a good bit of cash from it as well) and I've got a question for you. I've got the chance to pick up an 88 zx10 that's been pretty abused and I'm wondering even if I chop the old boxy tail and fab a new one, is it possible to put newer plastics on it (mid 90's and up) your videos have been a ton of help to me so if you could just give it a minute of thought for me it'd be so cool

    • @mrmaxstorey
      @mrmaxstorey  9 років тому

    Hola amigo gusto en saludarlo nuevamente tengo una pregunta compre una 1990 gsx katana 600 le lave el carburador y prendio imediatamente pero empeso a tirar aceite de los mofles sera que los anillos de los pistones esten daños ojala me pueda ayudar gracias.

    • @mrmaxstorey
      @mrmaxstorey  9 років тому

      +Antonio Esquivel Si los mofles tiran aceite si esta correcto significa que el motor esta danado, y necesita medir compresion. Pero, muchos veces los mofles estan tirando agua sucia, y este es normal en la manana, la sucia es carbon adentro los mofles y despues de 10-15 minutos deb terminar

    • @antonioesquivel7203
      @antonioesquivel7203 9 років тому

      muy bien max yo entiendo lo que me dice creo que si tiene un problema el motor porque el mofle del lado izquierdo si tira aceite el derecho no y cuando la acelere tirava bastante humo cree que sean los anillos de los pistones o un problema mas cerio

      i think its like an 88 yamaha blaster quad not to sure of the yr..I was thinking maybe drain it out a bit and maybe take the top end apart and clean it out..Is there anything else i should be worried about,any seals or anything?

      Might have fouled the plugs, start with new plugs and see if that helps. This is a 2 stroke right?
