So i have been recently diagnosed with 3rd stage displasia (part of both my knee caps is missing) and an inconsistent blood flow between my valves. I started doing pilates because it is the only physical training i can do due to these health problems. I had to quit going to the gym, running and everything and change my entire life around. Because i was so devastated i also started to eat my worries away and getting BED (binge eating disorder) so i had to go on a strict diet plan. Im still struggling but this is a sign for you to continue and never give up because even tho it might suck rn it will get better i promise
Ho my ! I wonder what I would do in a similar situation? If a kneecap joint replacement would be a good idea? Doing a quick research on the internet, I found that a kneecap joint replacement is a much smaller operation than a total knee replacement. However, it still seems like a major surgery, normally recommended if other treatments, such as physiotherapy or steroid injections, for example, haven’t helped reduce pain or improve mobility. Happy to read you say that you can get better. That thought is encouraging to have in mind when something that can seems very troublesome at first occurs.
Eat. I mean it, eat. Without food especially protein and carbs the training will go to waste. Training, especially weight lifting mean you are ripping your muscles. You need proteins to grow and repair them. Without any carbs you have no energy to actually do anything. Eating isn’t a reward. It’s a necessity
After 1.5 years of my rigorous workout sessions from delivery a c sec to loose 17 kgs., yes, I can say- Prioritising sleep and staying hydrated are the two most imp roles in going further. And yes, training upper body is quiet hard too, but if you love chest days,(which I love!) you can do it!❤
It’s funny how it’s the opposite for guys. I can do upper body all day without any issue, but the second it’s leg day I turn into a scared little boy 😂

No.3 definitely hits home right now. I developed runners knee about a week & a half ago and have been trying to heal from that, but have felt so guilty for not being able to work out. I’ve been trying my best to eat well without feeling like I have to earn it, and this in turn has actually hurt me. I find I’m more prone to binge eat and snack more because of that kind of mentality
I work as a nurse and I hurt my back in late January with a difficult patient. It really put a rut in my progress. I couldn’t lift or anything. Was put on workers comp. It’s taken time but I’m finally back! Set backs do happen but keep pushing you guys❤️ trust me, you will thank yourself❤️
Sleep is so real ! When I joined the gym my night owl style automatically became tragic and I had to stop and sleep instead, I learned it the hard way ! My hormones went all direction and my skin was having challenges,let’s not forget my attitude towards people around me was harsh 😢

This is the first time I’ve been eating properly on my health journey. I started without doing it for about a month. For everyone out there: THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE when you properly fuel your body. My workout last longer and I can train harder and I do not feel my body wain throughout them. I manage to get a nerve trapped in my back, that was 4 years ago. Today I have to have special shoes, my foot is swollen and painful constantly. cannot stand for long periods . Walking for too long is also a problem. I will have this now for the rest of my life. Surgery is not an option because of were the nerve sits. I have served most of my life nowadays walking my dogs is the best exercise I have. Please go careful And also 3 gym packs , more than enough. 1 in wash 1 ready 1 in use. You can also use this in your homes, for bedding, blankets etc. Stay safe people
Looks like you're a bit slow because I'm pretty sure the gym for a lot of people literally always was more about vanity and looking hot than it was about health and fitness. It was only fans before only fans was even a thing. First time I stept into a gym was in high school in 2015 at least 60% of dudes there were completely shirtless not even a tank top or anything (no reason at all to be shirtless) and a lot of them spent more time flexing and admiring themselves in their mirrors, taking pics or videos and posting on social media instead of actually working on their fitness.
You seriously need 27 bra for your workouts? (At least that’s how much I can count on railing) I got 3 for different kind of workouts, going to gym last 6 years, didn’t notice any increase of laundary, having so much clothes to clean not really ecological. I have to wear a normal bra when I go to school and work and then swap out with the sports one. Same thing with my outfit. That means the laundry I accumulate in that day doubled, I don’t know how for you it didn’t change.

The injuries part is so real. After every injury I have to wait about a week to recover until I can workout again. I’ve strained my hip flexors, my quad muscles, and even developed lower back pain due to poor form. Then again I do it all alone and have no one to guide me so the most I can do is watch videos and then record my form so I can somewhat correct it. It sure is a slow process
Sweatpants are usually cotton based and do not breathe, meaning you'll sweat like crazy and feel super uncomfortable. Also the baggier they are the more likely they're to get caught on gym equipment.

I work my upper body at home. I’m too fearful to do anything but cardio at the gym (although they’re offering a cycling class that includes weights). I’m starting to take those classes. I feel a bit embarrassed because I know guys sometimes make fun of “cardio bunnies.”
Recently hear this very often lack of sleep will impede progress. I dunno I'm a very bad sleeper even when young and i was huge before and ob only like 4-5 hours a night. Not long ago I started with B1 vitamin and I am having better sleeps

Further to the sleep tip, make sure you're taking rest days. Working out every day is more likely to slow your progress down rather than speed it up.
Still do something on your rest day. Doesn't have to be major, doesn't have to be weights
