They encourage you to call through any incident to them.
I only caught the very start of what turned into a very ugly situation that left my boat mate, Millie and myself very shaken.
I hope you enjoy today’s video.
As a qualified seaman this is frustrating to watch. Great video and I have subscribed! Boat handling is so easy if you learn how to do it properly.
Thanks Alex! ☺️
Always remember, for every angry boater there are hundreds of nice boaters out there! Bet the guy was a bully at school....
or he was embarrassed
He had angry small man syndrome, only spoke to me that once. My boat mate is a lot smaller than I but they left after he let rip.
15:17 😂😂😂 😂😂 who was he shouting at crew or the other sailor?
Nice boats for sure.
Hi Jonny, good evening, it’s 5:55am here on Monday and three degrees, I’m still tucked up in bed with the electric blanket on! Thank you for a rather serene video. Very relaxing after watching all the videos of Trump’s attempted assassination. It rained there! Well I never! Lol 😂. We have had some beautiful days here and have been able to sit outside the front door with the umbrella up and even complaining about the heat at one time. However, it starts getting cold about three o’clock. I’m glad that the angry boater just went away. Enough of my old man ramblings, have a good week. From Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Hey, the weather hasn’t been much better here considering it’s July, filming today and the sun actually got out and got warm but you’ll have to wait until next week. Considering what I do for a hobby it’s taken nearly two years before we had to encounter an angry situation. We are tough though and don’t suffer fools gladly. As for Trump, is he the new Vincent Van Gogh?
@@jonnytreehouse most people on the Broads are there to have a good time. I’m not surprised that it’s taken so long to come across an angry creature! 😡. Whether Trump is the new Van Gogh we will just have to wait and see. It looked very pleasant there this weekend. I would have liked to be there. Instead, I’m listening to the rubbish trucks (lorries for you lol) rumbling up and down our street.
Happy memories, I was there 3 weeks ago. I wonder if we were on your video Lullaby 3 😊
Possibly, all depends what day you went through. ☺️
Those river boats look bizarre to someone from Canada where we don't have a lot of waterways with low bridges.
@@the_omg3242 I bet! I’d love to visit Canada and see.
oh my word it just proves you have to respect the river, wind and bridge oh and the size of your boat.
Absolutely
I have never seen a boat like that before.
i think alot of people ignore that demasting area , but to actually say , So What ,after he banged your boat , how selfish is that , it looked pretty quiet down there today .
I'll bet that guy at 3:45 used to like driving the dodgems.
😂
So, are these considered narrowboats? They are obviously sized to avoid fixed obstructions but I have not seen these designs before.
These are river cruisers, wider and taller than narrowboats.
@@jonnytreehouse Our Great Loop waterway route is more permissive, with a 19’6” height above the waterline and length x beam of 85’ x 23’ to fit the locks en route. Some specific route choices are more restrictive but generally you can get all the way around with a 19’ air draft.
@@rustygunner8282 where do you live?
@@jonnytreehouse I’m in the US. There is a navigable route from the Great Lakes through northern rivers onto the Mississippi, down to the Gulf of Mexico, across Florida and back up the east coast on the Intracoastal Waterway and back to the Great Lakes called the Great Loop.
@rustygunner8282 ahh now I understand. How amazing. Well you’ve now seen what the UK has to offer boat wise
Therein lies a lesson not to park your small boat next to a de-masting area! This waterway is full of hire boats and a bit of common sense is needed around these notorious spots.
Pardon me, what is a demasting area? Is it where you drop the mast of a sailing vessel before going under that bridge?…that’s what my guess is…
@MikeGowan-xo9yv yes that’s correct
Are there no rules about being able and qualified to safely operate your boat? All the gear and no idea?
You get a short training session when you pick up the boat and then you are on your own…….
@@jonnytreehouse lol Looks like some folks need a bit more than that maybe?
allo
oh my.....
Is that a good or a bad ‘oh my…..’ 😂
@@jonnytreehouse goodish for you ofc, i just don't get how ppl can be so unrelaxed and impatient while driving a boat. From the second of leaving the harbour they should've recognized that this is a boat, not a car, like it takes patience n time to move it. It's so so much fun, if you just take your time.
@TENDERTEN exactly!
