Recap by Tammy AI
THIS is the type of CONTENT that can bring VICE back
maybe, if this video gets a billion views....
I spent months in the Egyptian Sinai desert in this Sudanese camp. Was literally the most peaceful time of my life. The clear water and miles and miles of pristine coral reefs that I would snorkel daily. The 7'8" cook named Haj, who I lamented that had he been born in America probably would be a multimillion dollar athlete, shaggy who acted as our concierge. The other staff that I traded a first generation Ipod for lodging and food who were so unbelievably happy for the music and hundreds of songs they could now play everyday..... the stars and tides you would see at night was truly a religious experience. I wish I knew how all those ppl are doing. This was pre 2006 before the re-entry of enemy combatants and weapons smuggling that killed the tourism industry
This is very cool research and I'm sure its going to play a big part in finding out how to save and recuperate the ocean's remaining life. It definitely feels bittersweet as we could have done more to prevent these things.
It sucks Vice filed BK. It does NOT deserve it when Fox News publishes the trash they do.
You wish, at the rate the world is heating up all coral will be gone in 20 years 🥲. Humanity isn’t cutting emissions at all. Whatever Europe decreases, growth in Africa and India makes up and China does nothing.
i don't know if there really is anything we could have done. the people who control the oil were going to destroy the planet for their pocket books regardless of what we did or said. stand up to them and you'll probably end up assassinated.
Omg!! This docu is so fascinating! I hope vice can get out of the hole they are in now so we can keep getting beautifully well made content like this ❤. Thanks Vice and crew!! You guys are awsome!!!!
Lets start a fundraiser
Same here I was so sad when I heard of the bankruptcy. They just needed to stop hiring a bunch a people who don’t do anything and retain the badass journalists
Soros scum own Vice now after their fake "bankruptcy", Soros swoops in as the savior.
Love Vice, hope the bankruptcy doesn’t effect this level of content.
I hope it does. Because , when they were putting out shitty content for the past 8 years , they didn't care about bankruptcy , now when they know what's at stake , they have finally woken up and started to put out content to save their asses. Too late for that now. 🤷♂️ Let them take their feminist woke asses and go wipe toilets now after their bankruptcy.
Never will they got sponsors and amazing relationships to even film such videos like this…..
Of course it will. No money makes it impossible to film quality docs. Hopefully another non woke company can take it over and fix it.
Outstanding work! Thanks to everyone involved in this! Just one more reason to rescue Vice before it´s too late!
We need a world court so we can sue and hold big business across the world accountable for crimes against humanity, and other life forms as well.
I agree to an extent.
For example, anyone who has (historically and contemporarily) played a hand in the continued criminalisation and stigmatisation of mind altering substance must be held accountable. I don't necessarily agree with the death sentence or life inprisonment, but we have to set an example to future generations... Otherwise how do we we make sure we never let people create these insane narrative/power structures? Anyone who has ever stigmatised or criminalised substances like DMT, LSD, Psilocybin, THC, Mescaline, Salvanorin A, MDMA, Ketamine etc... etc... MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for their crimes against humanity. Arguably some of the worst war crimes any humans have ever perpetrated.
A reckoning is coming and it's not going to be pretty. Beautiful, yes. True, sure. Just, absolutely. But pretty? Nope.
Funny that all of this research is in Saudi Arabia, where a lot of fossil fuels originate.
even that will be corrupted.
Almighty GOD will JUDGE all those who are responsible for their crimes on JUDGEMENT DAY
@@Invading-Specious we have to create a secret society that will do the right thing at all cost, just like they did, really the battle of good and evil going on here.
What a beautiful way to tell this story. Well done.
This was absolutely amazing information. Thank you for sharing this with us!!
This was a very good , high quality, and well edited
This is giving me goosebumps, vice we need these
This is what discovery channel used to be, discovering things
Finally. Vice delivering content I subscribed for in the first place.
Super cool video. Thank you for all the in depth science and the stories.
An absolutely fascinating documentary as striking for its sober, yet positive tone as its beautiful imagery and technical polish. Probes a potentially dispiriting subject with an uplifting portrait of committed pros trying to tackle the singular crisis of our times while retaining a sense of wonder. Really well done.
How much did you got paid for writing this eloquent bullsht?
Awesome video Vice! Would like to see more videos like this.
Agreed. And less woke agenda, sincerely - everyone
Fantastic! Keep up the great work. Thank you for education and appreciation!
Beautiful work, symbiosis is a much overlooked part of the natural world. Something I think we as a species could learn alot from.
Underwater gardening is such a brilliant concept
Nice 1 vice, best of luck for the future

This Video was amazing it covered things I’ve never learned about in school . Thank you
This is the most clear example for representing a climate catastrophie awareness in one documentary , the real end of world type of film, just thinkin bout how we gonna live in the next 10 years.. unlike any other media platform vice proved the world that nothing can stop them.
Are you seriously that doopid pal?
excellent documentary
Great & Fantastic docu.. Kudos to VICE team!!!!
I’d trust this submarine more then the one they used with a gaming controller 🙏🏽
Been watching VICE since the very first days! the best reporting, stories, and Documenting on the planet! i would do and sign anything to help them in the current struggle they are going threw! hang in there guys.
Very interesting film. I live by the Red Sea (Dahab on the Gulf of Aqaba) and have wanting to see a documentary about the unique ocean we have here, I really hope that you can return and do some study in this area as well.
9:40 didn't know Logan Paul was diving too. He stays busy.
Beautiful work.
we need to do something to save our oceans. please let’s all realize how important they are.
amazing cinematography
Wonderful documentary
vice should really just be an internet company with a subscription model
Market is too saturated
When a man says “God doesn’t create something without purpose” it’s not the same as “There’s a purpose for everything”. At least keep the man’s words as is VICE!
Please, make *bigger English subtitle* 🔥❤🙋♂️
No
If you're on pc you can increase and decrease it's size in the settings or the +/- signs
Yeah why did they use a yellow text for a subtitle lmao
Yes, I'm fascinated by this but couldn't make out the subtitles.
I always wanted to be involved in such projects, hopefully one day
Beautiful country
Amazing, thank you.
Genial !!! Felicitaciones .
Combating Earth’s (our) warming oceans is exactly the mission of my company SolrBlu 🌊 We are focusing on water quality at WWTP’s and conserving Sea Ice at the poles. We want to work with locals, on a global scale beacuse that is how water operates!
“Be Water, My Friend. Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee
Great Video 😊
If you've never seen coral extremely close up or never saw how it grows, it can be hard to imagine how truly sensitive most of them are. I've grown them, and they can handle some stress, but when there are 2 or more stressors, it seems to multiply the damage. So the high temps coupled with changing salinity and lower alkalinity of the water can stop growth and when it gets really bad the 1mm of flesh on a lot of coral can just peel off like shedded skin, and that's horrifying and pray that doesn't happen. Im surprised there's still a good amount of reefs left at the moment. It is scary bc we've been hearing about coral die off for years, and as mentioned it can get bad very quick so time is definitely ticking away before mass die off starts happening from disease or wrong water parameters and most likely spread to other reefs.
Don’t worry she will heal with the nutrients she gets from the flood
Well made
This is the kind of content that separates vice from other News whatsoever agency.
I love how a coral reef is compared to a city!
what a cool group of people.
Awesome videography
Anyone know the music ? Its amazing just like this whole video! Music anyone?
I spent years offshore commercial diving off a plethora of different vessels. And NONE were as nice as the vessel in this video!! 😮💨
I saw that ship in Aqaba Jordan 🇯🇴 absolutely mind blowing ship ⛴️
We love u vice.
This is cool. Shouldn't the US navy or UK navy being doing this as a service? They need to consider forming a research fleet.
What a beautiful piece... Love it. -- So happy to not see the homeless CEO at the end not begging us to save his failing business model.
The subtitles are too small
Amazing!
I love Vice ❤
I wish these guys had the budget of the ISS.
what is that track at 20:30! absolutely banging
Red Sea jam
Also love when it gets crunchy and then traditions into 21:21
Amazing
Watching form Virginia
I like the part near the end that features the helicopter mechanics.
Finally , a vice video u can thumbs up, also might I add. We've been warned for decades nobody's caring.
What I would be interested to know is how all those underwater shots are fimed.
They put the camera in an underwater housing.
Go pros on trained fish.
They train dolphins to record underground. When they're done recording, the dolphins are trained to take the memory card up to the boat. It's a brilliant system.
Could yall make font bigger next time.
Put your glasses on or stop watching on phones because it was fine.
I love this
I just hope by the time these scientists learn what they are trying to learn the coral will still be here. Because from what i've gathered, that's not likely to be the case. Heartbreaking.........
*People still think I'm crazy when I say Jellyfish are non-earth aliens* 😂
Good to see despite the bankruptcy vice is still in business
Top knoch pic
“A wake up call…” I think we went back to sleep because the temperature of the oceans are higher this year than they’ve ever been.
A wake up call? Are you on dope?
Maybe you guys can research on " Sea Shepard ".
thank you

I was wondering how those little deep subs would handle power loss. And then it happened.
The yellow subtitles can be hard to read
You have great documentaries, but it's sick to read underlines
How did you guys film those shots at the bottom on the outside of the submarine?? I'm tripping, is there an underwater drone???
Pollution started to creep in the Red Sea at an alarming rate! Reason: Tourists, pilgrims, general maritime traffic between Bab-El-Mandab and the the Suez Canal! 😮
Due tell me how much c02 this glamorous endevour pumped into the atmosphere?
Who chose yellow subtitles
What's the camera gear used?
Why are there 216 dislikes? Who would dislike this?
Write the subtitles smaller please
we need ONEPIECE!!!!!!!

Isn't this the area that will see a huge oil spill once the tanker off Al-Hodheida breaks in pieces?
Very informative 🙏🏾🙏🏾
you haven't even watched the full video yet lmao
Just more woke BS to push a leftist narrative. That’s why Vice collapsed.
9:34 dude looks like the guy that looks like logan paul lol
I'm 44 this year , I've watched the Gulf of Mexico turn into a place that is poisoned more and more each year , and the rivers that feed the Great Lakes Region in the Upper Midwest of America turn into a place where you can't eat the fish, How could people continue to run Industries they know are doing this to the environment?
Why do we need to eat fish when insects are abundant and nutritious? We need to keep track of all the different chemicals in the ocean so that if we absorb these chemicals we can pay the respective companies what we owe them for their contribution to the world. Nothing is free.
Muppet
Good documentary but you did a poor job with the subtitles from the fisherman at the start
The fact anyone thinks we are gonna stop humans from being garbage is insane in 2023

Wonderful to see Arab Oil money once not spent on luxury BS. We need more of such great research tools!

How is vice going bankrupt when they make stuff like this
Coz most people aren't dumb enough to buy their woke nonsense.
Because they rarely make stuff like this
this is promotional too they probs couldn’t afford it otherwise
what sensor were used for mapping?
Probably a underwater Lidar scanner.
