Much interest is added to a grassy field by the use of your technique, which combines layering of different heights and colors of static grass, along with the "tamping down" with your fingers, to give an overall, irregular look. All these combined gives a fresh progression in the use of static grass for the modeler like myself. For this I say "thank you."

Excellent demo, thank you. I often drop small kit parts on the floor and find them by using the vacuum with the leg of a pair of old tights across the nozzle. I imagine you could pick up the unstuck grass the same way. By folding it over twice or more, you'd be producing a progressively finer filter and making it harder for the grass the be sucked into the tube.

I was hoping to use this layering spray on XPS foam as most of my miniature pieces are built on it. Do you know will the propellant in WWscenics layering spray melt or warp foam?
@@sydeninsomniac7832 hi. Not sure on the propellant. But I have used it in modelling foam, polystyrene and it’s fine. The product is water based. But I always tell people to do a test before hand.
Hi, Great video! I'm very interested in this product but I see on your Web-Site you have a... Grand/Micro/Detailer version of the Applicator. Are they different power and what's the difference between them? Thanks.
They all run off a 9v battery. And all have enough power to do the job. The screens will restrict the lengths of grass.
Hı my friend..When the glue of the grass dries, does it peel off when touched or does it hold strongly
It should stay strong to what ever you glue it to
I purchased the WWS static applicator kit some time ago - i didn't come with different heads for the applicator - should it have?
If it was the micro then no it shouldn’t. It’s only the grand that does.

Can you use the layer spray to seal the grass at the end?
Hi. There is no need. If you have followed the layering system then there is plenty of glue there to hold it in place.
@@WWSCENICS thanks for the reply. I kinda went ahead and did it and it is nice. Feels sturdy but is still "fluffy". Also gave it a few sparkly tiny spots that look like dew on grass

I was told today that no U.S. distributor is bringing the Peco Scene layering spray due to the cost of importing aerosols. You had said that any Peco retailer would have it. Will we get it in the U.S. or not?

Which colours did you use for each layer?
Hello. How do you get different lengths of grass? I'm a military modeller and I buy the standard static grass from makers such as Verlinden who make diorama accessories but as far as I know its all one length. Do different brands make different lengths and how do you know how long it is?

Hi, Yes it should be fine. As long as you can put glue down the grass will stick to create a realistic outcome.
What's the result if 'mixing' the different sizes together and apply in one go ?
Hi,
Some grasses are heavier than others so you wouldn't get a good effect. Layering is the best option as using it all at once doesn't look good.
Where should be the nail? On the grass or another place?

The clamp and screw pass the static charge through the glue. This is what makes the grass stand on end. Roughly the same thing as your hair standing on end when you take off a pull over sweater or shirt. Or if you rub a balloon on your head. Static electricity. One side si the screw you mention, the other side is the applicator.
This is oversimplified and maybe not quite technically correctbut that's the basic idea.

Hi... its acrilic glue in spray use similar stuff and will work with the same result.
