looks great
I thought you had to put the metal clip onto the board but you were holding it above and still got the grass to stand up!
Interesting demo but I don't have too much flat and level land on my layout. Since it's mostly slopes how do I ensure that the grass stands upright rather than at right angles to the terrain? - Tony.
@@hirsutusi5536 hi. Did you watch the part where I got my fingers in and messed it up. If you do it smaller and take your time. You will get great results. If you just leave it as it comes out of the applicator, it will be at an angle 📐
For goodness sake turn the music off so we can hear the guy please.
why is your glue sold our everywhere in uk!
@@ITSMDGM sorry about that. We are waiting for a delivery, unfortunately our supplier has put us back and put us back It is due back in stock next week as long as it doesn’t get snowed in 😱🤪
Tried to buy the aerosol can version on Onbuy as pictured and received the pump bottle instead in the UK. Sort it out guys! Looks like nobody gets on with this pump spray.
Not exactly how I weather my locos I use a small drop of water into my powders to make it into a small paint mix onto the bogies and use a small Ak pigments dirt wash into the grooves and a wipe off the excess with a damp cotton tip as I model mostly modern day class 66s and mostly rusty exhausts this method doesn't work for the roof the way it is shaped as you have to follow the shape of the roof and come along with the brush down the sides of the roof following the slope of the roof if you add in a small amount of smoke grey first and some black and cover the exhaust area this Is quite effective for around the exhaust area black exhaust wash works well especially on large exhaust locomotives
Is there a way to uncompact seafoam trees? I got some seafoam trees from a company and the limbs are compacted from being packaged. Can you soak them or spray them to get them to fluff back out? Thanks.
@@ronhill5118 hi. You can try and soak them over night. Start off with warm water. Then peg them upside down to dry out see if that works.
@@WWSCENICS Thank you, I will try that idea. I tried soaking for a little while, but it did not fluff them out any. I will try a longer soaking. Thanks.
What size of grass will it coat up to 10 ml ?
@@carllawton9520 na it’s to heavy. 6mm if you de ball it
Hey Martyn, I've emailed in but yet to get a response. It was just a comment in relation to the mixed seafoam I purchased from WWS recently. This box contained lots of pointy twigs, not really a mix at all, which means I've hardly been able to use it in making trees. With a £25 a box price tag I'm disappointed to be honest. Any chance someone could come back to my email. Thanks 👍
Hi, I am not sure why you have not had an email from our CS they answered all questions. Have you checked your spam, please? Just in case. The sea form is at the end of the season. This is a problem for all sellers of sea form. If you contact CS by email or phone, you won't be able to use Social Media. Ill arrange something. Please state that you spoke to Martyn
@@WWSCENICS thanks Martyn. I had wondered if I'd just been unlucky with the box I got due to timings tbf. Will follow up. Thank you for the reply.
@@WWSCENICS hey Martyn, thanks, your team did respond, yahoo doing it's best to see all genuine emails as spam. I'll reply there.
Good job, it's almost got a graphic novel style to it
@@Rhiunlol it’s a test so I’ll take that. Thanks 🙏🏽
Can I ask what kind of spray you're using? Thank you!
@@edielynch7819 that is our layering spray. A fine spray adhesive. Develop by ourselves
Great video guys but please for those of us that are hard of hearing tone down the background music as cannot hear the speech thanks
@@IanWheller-rv4zi thanks for the feedback. I no longer use music there is a far better video for you to watch. It’s the PGLS or Pro Grass Layering System. A lot better. Thanks Martyn
Hi Martin. Is the power block suitable for HD 3-rail locomotives? Might be a tad wide.
I was hoping to use this layering spray on XPS foam as most of my miniature pieces are built on it. Do you know will the propellant in WWscenics layering spray melt or warp foam?
@@sydeninsomniac7832 hi. Not sure on the propellant. But I have used it in modelling foam, polystyrene and it’s fine. The product is water based. But I always tell people to do a test before hand.
Bloody stupid video...
Thanks for the video, really informative.Bought the applicator, selection of grass, basing glue and other bits and pieces this week. Fortunate to live close enough to visit the store. Really friendly and helpful staffer, looking forward to visiting again.
@@johnreed-b6z thank you. Martyn
Great review , I,m saving my cash to buy one + all the other bits & bobs .. I have a 8x 2 ft rough area & woodland to make so this will be a great help .Thankyou .
@@stevenperry7493 make sure you post some pictures on our Facebook group.
Currently on your website none of the scatters are available apart from just a few. Will the rest be returning to stock sometime in the near future? Just wanted to check :)
@@CymruJedi hi yeah we are waiting on a delivery, but this will take some time. They are going on a long trip 😳😤. Keep an eye 👁️ on our socials to know when they back in stock.
Was it just me or did anyone else gasp in horror when he dug his fingers into that beautiful work of static grass? 🤣 Awesome display of how to use your products. I've heard good things about this product, and now I've seen how to use it. Thanks
Great video, I’m new to all this and I learnt a lot from your vids. Thank you
Need sunglasses looking at that 😂
So you have the negative lead inside the hopper?
@@Bunyip_Studios the negative is in the hopper that’s how static grass works. Yes 👍🏼
OK, makes perfect sense, thanks. Just wanted to check as pretty much most of the DIY builds I've watched are connecting the positive output to the mesh, a few inside the hopper, and the probe is negative. You definitely get great results that's for sure
@@Bunyip_Studios ah ok. That’s because they do not understand how it works. When they do that, the power is in the wrong place. The grass is sitting on the power which then wants to throw it in the air. The negative field needs to be behind the grass. Which in turn then is drawn towards the positive field 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
cool, makes perfect sense to me, glad I asked now. Thanks again
That was a very interesting video as I am about to make a start on an embankment & rough grassed area .Very helpful 😊thanks
@@stevenperry7493 thank you. I hope it helps you
Just ordered some for ballasting my layout! Tanks very much for making this tutorial

it is only UK shops?
@@aussietrails1884 at the moment. But we can supply overseas ourselves. Message us for more info
Thank you excellent.
Great tutorial, about to start on some big scenery sections and have a starter kit, i bought years ago. As per a previos comment what was the 6mm grass that was used (layer 5) ?
@@nicktroth1871 the 6mm is your finishing grass. It can be at the end if you want.
That’s fantastic news can’t wait to start seeing the product around the world
Odd you didn't unbox and show the pieces. And a tree with before and after using the fibre would have been apprpriate. I know you are likely to do do both at some stage but this could have been a better primer
Yea. Tbh I didn’t have time the live was really about our exciting news. But point taken and yes i will be doing some tutorials on using the modelling fibre. I did mention in the live I would be doing some. So keep an eye out on our Socials👍🏼👍🏼
Congratulations guys really well done. Great products from a great company more strength to you. Stay safe
Congratulations on the big news!!! that drum roll and fanfare was priceless 😂😂😂 looking forward to Modeling With Madeline 😂😂😂 and I thought he said chip food 🍟well done again, well deserved, remember us when you’re famous 🎉🎉
Are there going to be any new tree armatures
Not yet. We are looking into it though. So in the near future maybe
Good luck with the new partnership
Great content. Does the Fibre Mould Plaster hen set is it waterproof?
No but you could add coats of varnish over the top to make it waterproof
Congratulations to the whole team at WWS. Great to see a great Welsh company doing so well - your products are excellent and the reason you are doing so well is because of your commitment to all the modellers out there - proud of you all
I’m no longer an active modeller, even so I wish you all well with this venture.
New variation tufts 👍👍Your new distribution agreement, simply superbe and long overdue. Well don folks of WWS!😎
Good to see you Martyn, we will push WWS products into stores, but please if you go in your local shop and ask for it if you don't see it on the shelves, the more people that ask the more chance we have of getting it in to the shops
That is tremendous news. Congratulations WWS. you have truly arrived on the scene now.
from a acorn to an oak tree thats WWS
Yes to both
Starts out by talking smack on PVA, you've got my attention....
Are the plastic glue used for the first layer and the spray adhesive the same product just different applicator?
The spray can is a very fine spray adhesive, the basing glue goes first then the layering spray afterwards.
@@WWSCENICS Thank you!
I have one now and so pleased with the grass affect. Great video.
Thank you
Kullandığınız Malzemeleri yazarmısınız teşekkürler
Ordered 2 pro and micro grass applicators- but the grass is not standing up as it lands on the glue or the spray (adhesives and grass are all from WWscenics). Battery is brand new- not sure whats not working? Kindly advise!
I suggest you watch the Pro Grass Layering System video. You are probably too high with the applicator or keeping it in one spot. Which you are then over applicating. So keep the applicator nice and low to the board and keep it moving. Also keep the clip close to the hopper
Absolutely brilliant 😊
Thank you
Amazing. ❤
Thank you
Hello, Do we necessarily have to place the object in the pliers or is it enough for it to be in contact with the object? Thanks
Hi. It will depend on what length of grass you’re using. The croc clip is the positive end so it works far more efficiently if it’s above the plate. Just play with it and see what works best for you Cheers Martyn
