When will/if you have a premium holster with leather on the skin side? I love the holster, but like the feel of leather better.
I have a similar sentiment towards out of box failures - “If you know about an issue, the preventive measures should be implemented by the manufacturer”. A customer shouldn’t have to rework a firearm. Cool looking gun. Thanks for the video.
💯
Absolutely!!
@@JoshVlog223 yessir
Agreed, they should have test fired them like the micros before shipping them.
I got mine a few weeks ago and have put about 1050 rounds throught it
The only issues I have had is 3 double feeds when rapid firing 2 mags and 3 FTE around 500 rounds. Lubed it up and haven't had any issues since. That is with glock, extar, and magpul mags and mixed manufacturer and mixed grain ammo. That said I have not tried it suppressed yet and I likely wont.
PSA is also "budget" because they don't use a distributor system or middleman or whatever; I believe they also do most of if not all of their own fabrication on the components. So that saves on the overall costs.
Manufacturing youre own components does not save money all the time, you can outsource much cheaper. Generaly companies make their own components because they want them to a specific spec and qc or made in country
They are vertically integrated and sell all kinds of stuff. Not like other outfits that just sell rifles or guns. PSA has very many income sources where they don't have to depend on gun sales solely
I think the value is solid. I cleaned mine per the manual. And i had ejection issues. Turns out the screws I had to use to mount my optic werea touch to long. And it was making contact with the extractor plunger. I wonder if this is an issue for others... my mags were tough at first as well. But I chalk that up to the cerakote. As I have had that issue with other cerakoted guns. Along with the thickness and materials used in Glock mags. After running the mags through it a few dozen times it got much much better. So to any of you who have one. Check that your optic screws are not touching the plunger. PSA should include the proper screws. Or let people know the optic hole goes all the way through on the extractor side.
It’s definitely a possibility. We used the short screws that came with Gideon
What optic were you running, I believe the psa daggers ship with screws specifically for holosun and they mount perfectly but due to different dimensions between optics it may be different dispite being the same pattern I only own a micro and regular dagger but holosuns have mounted perfectly with the screws that come specifically with the dagger,
I have a Bushnell RXM 300. Good to know the holosun fits. Perfect. But again. Extra screws. Or screw lengths in the manual would not be asking that much. But overall I am pleased with the gun. I put a Brownells ported barrel in it as well. And it's even better.
My brother in law had the same issue
I’ve noticed that when an expensive firearm malfunctions, it is the break-in period, or it could be the mag or the ammo. When a cheaper firearm malfunctions, it’s the firearm.
Yup so hypocritical
Y’all got lucky because I can not get mine to run more than 5 rounds with FTE. I tried all the mags and a few types of ammo! Mine is heading back to PSA tomorrow and I am sure I won’t get it back for 3 months! This is the second first gen PSA product I bought that failed so I am no longer buying anything until all the production gun actually hit real consumers hands! I have no doubt PSA will fix it but I definitely feel like I paid them $700 to test their product out.
That’s terrible man, that’s exactly what we were expecting to be honest. This was not given to us for review or any compensation of any kind. Bought with his own money and it just so happened to work
That’s our thoughts exactly and it sucks when u feel like that. Kind of how the 365 owners of the first gen had to feel
Were you running an optic? Or the longer screws with the optic plate, on milled Glock slides it’s possible for the screws to interfere with the extractor thus is why on glocks mos system they went with plate mounting and not directly milled slides
Yea stop sending them to youtubers and send them to people who will run them in real life
@@djupchurch2673 what are u talking about? Nobody sent us stuff
I only run Glock mags in my Dagger. Got some Pmags for range trips and sent them right back.
I love it when I put The magazine in and it sends the slide home all you have to do is a quick press check in you’re good to go
That is one possibility
Lmfao how the commercial during the video was about losing weight 🤣😂
I’m confused
Oh the ad that u saw while watching this video was about loosing weight lol that’s awesome
Looks great no doubt. But guys, it’s not running flawlessly, not even close! I hate it has so many issues cuz I love PSA. Mags not dropping free is definitely a big issue along, slide falling on reloads, and most of all the failures to eject are huge. I hope it breaks in and runs smoother, but that many issues in 250 rounds, cool range toy, but I couldn’t trust my life to at this point.
100% agree it was not running flawlessly, we had two failures to eject. Out of the amount we put through it that day that’s not too bad, but I definitely would not trust my life on it.
Well stated!
leave the slide open and locked for like 3 days closed for a day and opened for 2 more days to really break in the spring and you'll be good to go with no more cycling issues. it's what i did for my slide and it works perfectly now
When you had the first malfunction of the day, when you put the mag back in and rack it, it already had rounded the chamber!! But the first time you tried and started the mag and racking it, it did not feed!!
I was already shooting it. I had it in my holster. Pulled it out to shoot and it fired and didn’t cycle out the round in the chamber
23:51 Hello.
Hahahahaa
I haven’t heard of the issues people are having. With mine, I have not run the p mag that came with it. I have OEM Glock mags and have not had a single issue.
Nice
Went to look at it on PSA to read some more on it, all of them are sold out. That's usually a good sign for something worth look at or getting
Yeah PSA is usually out of stock all the time
A little 220 grit sandpaper in that magwell should help with the mag drop out, or do it to the mags thats what my dad did to his gen 1 g23 that wasn't dropping free. It doesnt take much sanding at all to make a big difference and dedicated modified mags for it wouldnt be a problem since regular mags would still run just not drop free, unless you do the magwell. Just a thought and no you shouldnt have to do this but it should remedy the issue or help at least. 👍
Yeah
IT looks good, maybe you could wrap sandpaper #150 grit around the mag and do the in and out a bunch of times to gain some space in the mag well , then rinse it out real good from top down . That's what I would try . Holster up slower for safety.
Yeah
Seems like that gun kicks way more than a gen 5 I don't know but looks like it was snappy .
Kinda
Pro mag onky works for some sidearms....go with ets over promag for sidearms such as glock that's for sure....now promag 32 round magazines work great with any ammo in my Springfield xdm full size also works great with my Springfield xds mod 2 11 rounds
PSA is so underrated.
Yes
I like the raw bit of the video. Is it good, is it bad? Well let us tell you.
Only thing I have to say is your holster is Coyote Tan color, not FDE lol
Hahahhahah
Great vid, I'll spend the money on it. I enjoy my dagger and would definitely enjoy this one.
Thanks man!
Zero issues on mine. How are you able to show off this gun on Live. It goes against youtube regs. Just wondering cuz my video got flagged and removed.
It’s a premiere not alive. That’s the difference.
Yeah it’s just a live premiere. Not actually live streaming
My psa rock is flawless...I haven't had one malfunctions with it.the first day I got it I did what I always do I took it apart made sure everything was good to go then I oiled it as always and I've ran close to around 3,000 rounds so far and I absolutely love it.with the optics,I got both fluted barrels one threaded one non threaded,I went with the c.t. optics instead cause I love c.t. red dots....I mean inwent with all the bells and whistles and picked the colors I wanted and everything.oh also came with 2 mags I went ahead and picked up 8 more so I now have 10 mags for it all togather.most brand new firearms need broken in especially 1911s most 9mms need broken in if there brand brand new.plus don't run super cheap ammo in it.thats like buying a race car and running regular fuel in it....come on now yall gwt some good ammo for your new protection.i means it to protect you and your family
3k rounds of 5.7 DANG !!! Money bags over here lol
@BlackDiamondGandG I stock up on everything I own cause ya never know ya know.so once one ammo gets a little high in inventory I go have a great outdoor range session
I love it when it auto loads, I would just press check to see if it loaded one in and if not then rack it again.
lol at least u checked
Im confused. You claim it ran flawlessly, but during your shooting, you had several malfunctions, which means it didn't run flawlessly? My psa Dagger never had any of the feeding issues you had on the sabre and im right at 5400 rounds.
If you're referring to me saying it: My 250 rounds and video we did first it ran flawlessly, without any hiccups. Then we did the 250 for this video. Honestly though, it seems like it was a mag issue
Probably carbon or pmags. 2 malfunctions not several
use stock Glock mags. Runs better fixes most of the problems, big problem with the mags not dropping, just mess with the gun for like 30min & the mag release will soften up & push further. I had the problem with my new compact frame
Ooooooo yyyyyyeeeeaaaaaa "macho man voice"
Hahahaha
I’ve got two daggers shoots no issues at all. Ejects flawlessly. Maybe I got lucky?
Fyi, buying any brand new model at release you best be aware issues may happen. Also waiting a year or two will either resolve or doom that model and you will save $
Yes agreed
There have been a lot of problems with the palmetto guns .
i was interested in the gun but honestly couldn't sit through a giant promotion for merch
Well, just go to Fattac.com and I won’t have to sell u on it
Man that thing looks good. Glad he got a working one. I hope to get one in the future. 👊
I hope so too
I enjoy mine... haven't put too many rounds through it on account of rain and house remodeling.. we shall see
Yup
👌🏼 Great review.
My Sabre Dagger runs flawless.
300 rounds eith zero issues!
I did clean and lube it before the range and i racked the slide about 100 times before ever shooting it.
Very nice! I don’t blame u, we did not lol
I do the same for my Panzer shot guns. They have run flawless. I think I will continue doing that to each gun I purchase.
workout perfection, being fit is perfection
Sure, but you can’t do it overnight, so why not carry comfortable?
Most mags dont drop out unless the mag is empty
Not necessarily in my opinion
Press check when slide drops on mag change so u don't waste a rd
lol it’s a Yager thing that was taught
My canik is designed to drop the slide on three reload
I still don’t trust it
Hey, maybe its just an illusion but watching in frame by frame starting at 8:19 to 8:20 I see some strange movement between the magazine and pistol grip, like the frame is bending.....could be an optical thing, just thought it was odd.
Really wow
I’ll check it out
PSA does NOT give you Magazines over 10 rounds. If you live in a restricted state, nore will they replace or block them to 10 rounds. So basically, you get a weapon with NO mags. That's my biggest complaint. They won't even take anything off. That's why they do so many bundles etc. Selling to others what you paid for. Not a fan of the slide stippling or the camo but it's nice looking
Why would you live in a place that would restrict you like that?
@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 never said we can't have them they are just restricted to be mailed.
Not quite sure, but did both of you make videos on this gun??
lol yes
What's your opinion on the Taurus g2s do you have a video coming for one
We’ve done them in the past. My opinion is for a budget pistol they are cool. You get what u pay for
It just needs better irons or switch to glock irons with at least night sights or dot.
I like both
You can get them with suppressor height ameriglos
Yes sir!
Wooooo
See I’m having this issue with my swq1 my ejector even with me taking the screws out. It won’t catch a bullet when I rack unless I tap the back.. i just ordered and ejector so hopfully it works
Wow, ridiculous
Woooooo!
Wooooo2
I had a couple failure to go into battery with my dagger but I don't remember if that was before or after I put a weaker recoil spring in it, then I put a heavier one in that came with the mass driver comp and I've had zero issues since. even took my CPL class with it.
Love that PSA!!!!!
Oh yeah!!
OK, I'm a little confused. You had multiple double-feeds and that issue where slapping the mag in would cause the slide to slam forward and not load a round into the chamber. How is that considered "worked flawlessly"?
Ask a professional why you should never trust your slide stop. Just rack the slide. Polymer pistols have that problem of slide release and no round in chamber . Take a mag and ram the fuck out of it in to any polymer pistol and this will happen . This is why the pros teach rack the slide. Then u know your weapon is loaded.
@@togusa7000 my original S&W M&P 9mm full size developed this problem. I eventually sold it.
Glocks do that weird slam as well. It’s just the way the gun is designed. When the frame flexes on the slam it makes the slide lock dislodge
The thin hump on the grip creates a terrible pain point. The design of that hump sucks.
You sure slapping the mag in didnt simply jar the slide releae and drop it prematurely? Ive never had this issue.
It absolutely does. Thats what happens. I still hate when it happens lol
Good review guys!
Thanks man, some people say I talk to much
dude what shorts are those u jst kept pulling out mags lmaoo
lol 5.11 something
Have to ask about the Gideon Red dot. What's your take on it?
12:40 do as I say not as I do lol
Yeah…. That’s what I was trying to say lol
Bought 4 daggers.. sold them.. my final opinion is, not better than Walther pdp or CZ. Feel like a nissan altima on nice rims. Haha
What red dot are you using? Great video
Thanks!! The Rock from Gideon optics. They’re on Fattac.com with free shipping right now!
Compact doesnt seem to have drop free mags either.
Nope
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear yep, I was disappointed when I discovered this.... I wonder if I can change my frame to allow it... I believe that's why they have the notches on the bottom so you can grab the mags.
@@EnergizerTXis definitely one of the reasons why
Hell yeah!!!!!
Wooooo
Are they California legal?
Every PSA owner knows your msg doesn’t drop out you toss it out
lol
How did yall get the optic on it cuz from other vids that was either an issue or not doable at all.
I just put it on there and tightened it lol
Did not use the screws from PSA
Use the ones that came with Gideon
That shirt👍 may have to have one of those pistols.
Hahaha
nice collabo
Yessir
Why not clean and lube it first before shooting it?
Just seeing if it works out of the box. Glocks do. Thats why really. We are comparing it to a Glock because that’s what it’s trying to be.

PSA makes a lot of good stuff.. I can't praise them enough for their AR-V, their Jakl and their Sabres, but their Dagger series is proving to be trash.. I don't know anyone who has one that doesn't complain about malfunctions..
I think the problems they have comes from Quality control issues, if u get one from a good batch then you're super happy with them, but if u get one from a bad batch then you're completely soured on PSA..
Do these Dagger uppers fit the Glock gen3 frame?
Yes
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear awesomeness
Vice versa as well lol
magpull mags don't work for glocks ?
Wut. ?
They are not as reliable as Glock mags is what I meant
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear I guess if your using steel case.. law professionals use them as duty mags.. so pretty reliable stuff.
@@Perkeletricksterservantofrher pmag Glock mags are not reliable. If you do any research u will see the aren’t reliable FOR GLOCKS. Pmag for AR are reliable. Glock mags aren’t. First of all Just because somebody is of duty or Service doesn’t mean they know it all when it comes to Firearms or Firearms accessories. Most of them only have to train once a year or qualify once a year. Not all, but most. And just so we’re clear, most things that are used on duty are contracted. They are USUALLY contracted because it’s what they could get the cheapest. Not ALWAYS but most times. Doesn’t make them reliable. Real world use makes them reliable. I don’t know any service or duty person that uses PMag for Glocks. Unless it’s a range mag. I’m just giving you free info. Take it and do what you want with it but I’m telling you they’re not reliable.
Do you use a Fattac holster with your micro Dagger? I
Yes
It’s the same as 43x holster.
