I would totally convert one of these trucks, or one of the 1960s ones, particularly one that has just two tires in the front, as well as two tires in the back, and a long pickup bed, into a retro Excursion-like truck, that is, weld the pickup bed to the cab, add the seats, some more carpeting and interior touches, another row of custom made seats or two in the extended truck bed/new rear section of the custom made SUV, some more electronics, including a nice booming stereo system, a more powerful engine, possibly a good V8 or V10 engine under the hood, maybe even that super good V10 engine that is in the Excursion, make it have a lot of power and torque, as well as useful in a practical sense, but also have a lot of gadgets and features, as well as make it ultra luxury, like beyond HongQi, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston-Martin, Morgan, Brabus, Rezvani, or Bugatti luxury levels, and also make it impossible to have rollover as well. Ford totally should have done that with this truck in the 1960s onward to compete with the GMC/Chevrolet Suburban and the International Harvester Travelall, and Chrysler should have also done that with not only their Dodge trucks, but also made them for Fargo, Plymouth, Chrysler, De Soto, and Imperial, and sold all of them in the USA as well, and GMC should have made Buick have an SUV during this time as well that is essentially a badge swap of the GMC/Chevrolet Suburban, but call it the Lucania instead.
For $200,000 id expect to have that rear axle line up with the wheel wells....I mean how much more work would it have been to stretch the frame another 6" or less there??
Modern suspension and braking is what you want. I guy near me did this kind of cab swap on a modern Super Duty chassis that had a swapped Cummins in it. I would have done it that way.

Seems your right about that. But I will stick with my first thought and comment because it was my first thought and comment, before I read it from most others.
Yeah No. I owned 3 F350 crew cabs before they got big and pricy. They DID NOT come like this. I have done 2 cummins swaps myself in these trucks. My crew cabs were 77-79 long bed and they were not like this from the factory. Stop the spread of ignorant information. This is equivalent to saying my truck came from the factory with dents. The rear axle doesn't line up with the wheel wells.
Good catch. The price is just ridiculous
I can’t un see it now
Came here to say the same
I was thinking the same. Front and rear.
They are like that from factory, my 77 is forward of center
You'd think they could have figured out how to make the rear axle fit more center in the wheel well.
