Thanks for the tutorial! This is just for one item yeah? I cloned the item and all hell broke loose when I went to pick up one item. It was certainly an experience! Great video though. Easy to follow and digest
Well done, another well-explained tutorial :D One small tip is, you can move and rotate the teleporter gizmo to adjust how it's held. So, you can leave the hand tag alone, and just adjust the object's teleporter instead. Then each object can have its own orientation when held special for that object. I think it's probably worth doing that second part, showing how to make multiple objects work. It's probably a really common thing to do with this tech, is have more than one block to move around or put onto switches, stuff like that. And without that other tut, they'd probably resort to recreating the whole logic for each object or something :D
Thank you once again for your explanation man! I’ll make sure to use the teleporter in the future instead of the tag. And true my guy... I’ll go ahead and make that 2nd part! I know for sure people will want to use more than one object to pick up!!!
@@chrisanimates99 my other comment didn’t seem to show up, so thanks again for making this! I am making multiple projectiles for players npc and foes alike and would ver much like to know the teleporter solution as opposed to the invisibility one! Can’t wait! :)
Great video, i always tought teleporting would be smarter than an invisable object as it could get way to cluthered, no idea how to make it happen tough. Your very clear and chill to listen to. Thank you :)
Dunno why this only just showed up in my recommended, but awesome tutorial as always! I'll definitely be using this for at least one of my games. Thank you!
Great work man, your tutorial was informative and intuitive. You should definitely think about doing more of these as well as releasing the final animation on Dreams as remixable gameplay mechanics. You could revolutionise Dreams by creating well done & new gameplay mechanics for creators to use. We see a lot of gameplay mechanics(animations) done badly in Dreams like throwing, climbing ect. I admire those for trying but if you could do these things in a more professional & convincing way with that attention to detail then you could be making a huge contribution to Dreams if creators are then able to take advantage of these gameplay mechanics(animations). It could certainly open the door for games to be made in Dreams instead of so many creators just choosing the basic platforming route. I've always said that creators who look to evolve Dreams by creating new & convincing gameplay mechanics are as important to the Dreams community as anybody else(maybe even more so). It might take time but new gameplay mechanics might be the thing that evolves Dreams to a new level & gives it a more progressive variety for those who want to make new games using these new mechanics. You of course would get your fair share of of the credit for introducing these mechanics. Great video 👍
You’re right man! I was thinking of making small little animations as well and have them remixable. Kind of like the dreamer, byvsen. He makes animations on streams and then makes them remixable for others to look into. But I agree with everything you said and I appreciate you man!
@@chrisanimates99 Thanks man 👍 I like trying to help you & the Dreams community in whatever way I can. I know I've not got the talent, patience or time to be a great creator but I do my best to support yourself & all the rest of the amazing Dreams community. Yeah definitely do that, there is more ways than just making your own creations to get enjoyment out of Dreams & support the community(Assests are every bit as important). That's what I love about Dreams, the community are there to share their work & help one another which of course make Dreams itself better. MM have done this deliberately as they know by sharing & collaborating on Dreams we will lead to bigger & better creations. The fact that if anybody uses anyone of your assets in their creation, you will have your name added to the list of creators in their work epitomises exactly that. MM reward those for supporting the the community which is a massive plus for Dreams. If you were to make quality, unique gameplay mechanics(animations) that other creators could use in their games then you would play your part in moving Dreams forward & getting your fair share of credit for going so. It's Win Win 😊

Really good video. I have a problem with the left guide tool. It be became too short and now i cant move around the scene. How can i make both tools again the same? Thank you friend
I make alot of FPSs but i stick with having multiple arms because teleporting guns and matching up fingers with different guns is a hassle. I tried and said to myself its not worth it.
Do you think we can use this to get character to pick up specific weapons like if I had 3 characters 1 mage 1 bowman and 1 fighter I would want the bow mean to only use bows and etc etc
