Such a treat to have Coach Levi, Master of Shine, talking you through the process. A priceless experience.
Fantastic results, in only 20 minutes, UNO Protect is a stellar product. I'd say you have the Professor of Polish, teaching the Teacher. I really like the direction you are heading in with these videos, educational, imparting product knowledge and techniques, and small things like what to watch out for in and around the spoiler. Also seeing a whole car done is awesome, you get so much from seeing the different areas worked, and seeing the end result on a whole car makes a huge difference, you really get a sense of what the product can do.
You made a really dazzling car. I'm doing the details in Korea. Your video is helping a lot. I ask for good videos from now on.
Thanks for the video. I really enjoy these types of real world, time-saving workflows-a lot of great info. But respectfully, the whole car with one pad? I don't use Rupes wool pads so forgive me for talking out of school, but if it performs like most pads, it pretty much quit cutting halfway through the right side of the car. You can blow it out but it's still soggy and saturated with product and debris. We didn't get to see the actual correction (I know, enhancement), before and after, up close with a light, and the finished car looked good, but wouldn't swapping pads dramatically improve the correction with a minimum time penalty?
Also, sorry if I missed this, but is BeadMaker a much better sealant than Uno Protect? Why replace one for the other? Thanks again for the video. Please continue to make more "working detailer" vids. Really appreciated.
I agree the Professor of Polish did a great job of passing on the knowledge, and I am happy to absorb it. Thank you.
In reality you don’t need your car corrected to 100% and an enhancement detail is more appropriate. The Rupes wool pads with all in one polishes can get great results in no time.
Your statement is 100% correct!
I learned this yesterday. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great to see a Corolla in the TRC garage. I hope the next video in this series will be “Dane’s 4 minute Express Cafe seduction”.
I just used Uno Protect with the Rupes Yellow wool pad and took a bit more time to get some decent correction. Took two hours, removed the light swirls and the car looks amazing. Uno Protect is the best AIO out there. On it’s own leave so much gloss and slickness.
Have you tried 3d speed by any chance
@@umbrellaj8954 3d ONE 🎉
Great video.
I’ll have the opportunity to use this product either late this week or next week at work. I’m looking forward to it.i have both the same Rupes pad you were using and some Rupes medium cut wool polishing pads.
My polisher is the same as the one you’re using in the video.i love that thing.after over 30 years of using a rotary polisher everyday the mkIII is really enjoyable to use.
I have to use a roller stool when I polish the side panels because I’m 60 and I had meniscus repair surgery on one of my knee 3 years ago so I can’t walk on my knees or sit on my heels like I use to.
Please keep the videos coming
To Gabe's defense on the sock thing, which Levi's reaction to was hilarious, prior to buying my 15 f150 Lariat in 2018 I was the armour all wipe and car wash brush from walmart guy. Had absolutely no knowledge of detailing and how to properly wash and take care of a vehicle the right way. Have yet to actually pick up a polisher and get my feet wet in paint correction but im getting there.
Thanks for the excellent instruction, corrections and tactics, techniques and procedures!!!!!! Especially the less frequently filmed areas of the car!!!
Every Detailer: 3-4 pea sized drops in a 2ft by 2ft area, 3 cross hatch passes in a one inch per second pace
Also Every Detailer: Completely random number and varied size drops and does the whole hood in 13 seconds.
Hahaha so true!
100% spot on 😂😂😂 But you get more used to what you working with especially with the new compounds, polishes and pads 😂
@@huzaifavawda8383 I try to stick to the same "family", ive been using Rupes Uno for about a year pretty consistently. I've also tried the new(er) Maxshine stuff, pretty good IMO.
One more fast method to polish a whole car that i still not seeing other detailer talk about is i always put a couple dab of product on the entire panel using finger, that way i dont have to stop and recompound the pad.
@@harisyoung4110 Also a good way to get new guys to overload a pad with product
Great video fellas! Tutorial on a AIO enhancement while keeping time and profitability in mind. Car looked great.
levi your awesome, this process is amazingly poppy
I’m hooked this a real game changer awesome look!
this video was EXACTLY what i was looking for!!! Thanks TRC!!
Great video, favorite part was Levi’s reaction to Gabe using a sock haha
Awesome...getting ready to do my car...great video...
Loved the real time video.
Alrighty then, I loved it and I got it. As a new convert to Rupes Mille, WOOL and Foam pads and UNO, seeing is believing. I now have, courteous of The Rag Company, a new rapid express polish method. My hat's off to you. 👍🙂🐉
Good stuff, I have watched this one a few times👍
This method versus... Uno Protect, wiping it off as normal & coming back after 24 hour cure time THEN wiping down with Beadmaker?
Basically I'm asking are we compromising the sealant in Uno Protect by immediately hitting it with Beadmaker? Or are we really enhancing it? If you had the time which method is better? Thanks @The Rag Company
I remember in the late 80's. Cheese cloth was the thing. Turtle wax even sold it in a bag. My dad had it!
How often can an all in one like this be used in this method? How much clear coat is really being removed?
I would like to see more demonstrations of the one step process with rupes uno protect...👏🤘
What I love about this video and everything TRC does is it goes against the absolute biggest bullshit thing about detailing. The idea that detailing is some kind of secret dark art that is so impossible only a few can do it. Detailing is a skill that can be learned and done a billion ways. It's something everyone can do to whatever level they want to take it.
@@theragcompany so what is the reason you prefer bead maker over the uno protect ?
I appreciate the tutorial. I think that definitely did improve the paint a smidge. I'm honestly blown AWAY that people would pay for this service. Honestly if I'm paying for a polish, I'd want more defect removal.... this seems a tad too fast.
The hand speed was to fast and not enough pressure use used but then again he doesn't have experience, other than that he did a good job. Rupes yellow and sonax perfect finish, a tad spendy* but with a good technique its works on most paints.
I usually perform a service like this but with a slightly slower arm speed for people that just want an enhancement and cant afford a stage one correction. I sell my paint correction on a good, better best basis. Good being an all in one with a fast arm speed, better is stage one correction, best is stage two. Most of the population have untrained eyes that cannot see swirls and scratches the way detailers can and just want the paint to look shinier, which is the entire point of an enhancement detail. Plus these sort of packages make detailers more competitive towards the carwash fans who have a heart attack when they hear the cost of a stage one or two paint correction. AIO's definately have a role in detailing
I didn't realize you can polish such a large surface area with so little amount of polish. I literally was stopping to clean my pad and add more polish after every 2x2 section
Hi. Is it good for regular maintenance? Coarse wool pad is good In that situation? Or one should take milder one? Interesting vid 💪🏻👍💓
Could you use this technique (quick arm speed light pressure) with say Hyper polish and yellow foam rupes for a quick enhancement or would you risk holograms from too quick of passes?
Bro you have a 98% chance you will NOT burn through the paint. 1. It's a pro-grade DA polisher. 2. You are being helped by a pro detailer and detailing company. 3. The polish is not an extreme cutter. You good dude.
Great stuff! I've been waiting for this video. 😊
A 20 minute 1 hour detail.... Sounds like my type of day.
Do you prep the car first clay bar iron remover
You can if your customers is paying for it or you have included it in your exterior package.
"That's my detailing sock!" ...dead...LOL
It's great as a quick polish if you need more there's the yellow or blue product
Oh no, tennis elbow Levi? Does Playmaker have the Beadmaker infused in it? Have you guys tried Playmaker with the Beadmaker wipe off?
Mad Wax we have and I have some issues with Playmaker, I feel Uno is the go to AIO.
Looked at Lowe’s for the platform ladder and cheapest one I found was $60. I’m not going to Harbour Freight for something my family be standing on. 😉
The Rag Company copy that! I’ll check the Maximum Load rating before hopping on one.
Why is this approach better than doing a 1-step polish and then Bead Maker?
The car looked amazing. What wall pad did you use?
Great Pro Tip👍. Will this method work with other
One- step polishes?
@@theragcompany How about a test with this combo vs the P & S Play Maker on its own, and will the gloss meter increase when following up with Bead Maker to wipe off Play Maker?
I tried Beadmaker over Uno Protect after seeing a previous TRC video. It's everything they say it is and more. reds and burgandys just pop. Blacks are slick and even whites and silvers look more rich. Great tip. Thanks gang!
just detailed white gmc yukon denali with this combo (but yellow rupes foam). Looked gorgeous when done and slickness was untouchable!
Very good job greeting from the Netherlands
Would the yellow wool pad accomplish the same results or do you have to spend more time on each panel?
Is it also possible to use the creature here instead of the Edgeless 365 ? Greetz from Belgium !
Would that work well on lightly scratched car using the European 50/50 pad or is that too harsh of a pad?? Thanks in advance
Late for the party...awesome video!!! I have a question, if doing one step how many MF towels one should have at hand?
4
I watch all the Rag Co videos and I am a big fan. I have seen multiple videos all using different pads for this same process. I want to do this on my 2016 BMW and I am not sure what pad to use. I have seen you use yellow wool pads, foam pads and now blue. Can you help with this
Thanks and great vids
Wouldn't the Rupes yellow foam pad finish out better than the wool pad? why did you chose the wool instead? Test panel indicated that the paint needed more correction?
Correct!
Hey guys......do you have to do an IPA wipe down after you use Uno protect.... Or, can you let the uno protect settle for 4 hours and then add bead maker?
Can you use the same approach with any one step polish like 3D One? Can a medium foam pad be used or does the wool pad play an important role?
Yellow rupes foam w 3D one
The moneymaker 🔥
You guys look like Pedro & Napoleon Dynamite, all grown up.
Great video, would the set time be the same in a high humidity area. I live in South Florida where it's 85% humidity and 85-90% temperature, I also don't have a garage so it"ll be done under a carport. Thanks again.
Awesome!!😎✌🔥
I would love to know Brian's thoughts on this strategy. (Apex details)
good demo, but would also be interested in what else can be used with Uno, other than BM, so it lasts longer (prep is key, i know), best i can get out of it in Scotland is 3-4 weeks (personal car). Other decent ceramic spray sealants should have more longevity, like Angelwax Enigma QED/Ti22 Titanium Spray Sealant, Adams Ceramic Spray Coating, CarPro Reload, Gyeon Cure, Sonax S&S, TW Seal & Shine (US)/Hybrid Sealant (UK), WOWO Crystal Sealant and my current fav, Meg's HCD. 😁😁😁
I've been doing tests with Enigma QED, BeadMaker, Meg's HCD and TW Hybrid Sealant, they all do well other than BeadMaker, it needs a boost/reformulated to lift it up (or used as part of a blend to make a super sealant mix). Who knows what other cool products are due to be released in the next year. 🤞🤞
Ive tried Uno protect, give the 20mins cure time then buff off using Sonax BSD and plush microfiber. Give it time to cure perhaps overnight then hit it with bead maker as a drying aid. My car ended up looking like its ceramic coated. Works amazing
What was the main purpose of using Beadmaker as a sealant? It removed something from the polish? Doesn't Beadmaker only last a short time? Thanks
Aaron m for fun, watch our Ultimate One Step video for more info!
With the combo, what kind of durability are you looking at? I know beadmaker isn’t the best for protection. Could you use a better sealant and it work the same way as beadmaker essentially?
Definitely. Bead Maker honestly behaves more like a Glaze in my experience. Slick and super glossy but man does it fail as soon as you sneeze on it.
You stopped the timer when moving/reloading product on pad ?? Doesn't that time count too?
@@theragcompany Agree with your intent, but this is not a 20-minute option. It is more like an hour job which is still great option. Like your products - recently bought a "starter" set. They are great to work with.
Love Levi’s dad shoes lol
How much uno product did you use on this car?
such a great video
Dane with the yeezy flex
Would this be similar to Optimum GPS . I have some but don't know when and how to use it
Note that Optimum GPS can stain plastic trim. I use Hyper Polish and spray car wax on it while removing the wax instead, if there's a lot of trim.
I have used socks a long time ago, it was paste wax.
Awsome!
Were you saying 150 additional or 150 all together?
That Corolla is MINT btw
Doesn’t make sense to me either way. Just a wash clay and AIO I’m charging at least $350 for just the outside.
Dingus Kahn Awesome! Keep it up! This was to show others in various parts of the world that you can be efficient and still make money. I’m proud of you that you are able to receive that for a wash and clay and AIO!👏🏻👏🏻
joseph mitchell depends on your area. Charge an extra 50-100 for the wash process. And add this to the exterior as an upsale! Or if your in a lower income area this is a great price point to start at for customers that makes the biggest difference!
Ya just wondering. I'm all for detailers making more money. I've the noticed the more you charge the more reputable you appear to the right people. And when you come down to meet peoples low pricing your work isn't good enough either making it a waste of time. I've been yellow pad hyper polishing at 400 to 800 bucks but thats a longer work time. Keep up the good work gents!
What did you use for pad and compound or polish on that Honda
do you still need to wax the car and how do you polish the inside of the door handle
Levi i have a 2015 f150 tuxedo black has some scratches not to bad cant feel them with my finger nail what pad would yourecommend to shine this bad boy up
Instead of beadmaker what other products can you use? If I want alittle more longevity
So would you recommend ceramic coating this car after this enhancement ?
why did you use the blue wool pad and not the yellow and also why wool and not foam?
What would you charge for this and a full interior detail?
he mentioned it would be about $150
@@mattcully8405 $150 was for a wash, clay and the polish, with a possible light vacuum.
I'm at 300 to 350 for this and an interior
Can Bead Maker be safely used on windows that have received after-market (not OEM factory) tinting with ceramic coating?
Why not just use the Uno pure polish ? Isn't it the same as the protect but without the sealant in it ?
Exactly, if I’m going to add my own protection after then I’ll just use a pure polish. You’re literally defeating the purpose of an AIO.
What is the real world protection with Uno? After wiping off Uno, can you apply a ceramic or a graphene coating?
The new version of Uno is called Uno Advanced and now features ceramic protection that's said to last around 12 months, as opposed to Uno Protect's 6 month protection!
Does this process work with uro 50/50 pad
Can you used that pad in soft paint
What would happen if you let the UNO set up then applied Bead Maker
Any advice on the wiping of residue? I get residue marks that look like micro marring lines , these marks change direction when wiping in opposite directions so I know it’s only residue? Should I work the product more or leave it set for longer
You need to switch to a 70/30 blend towel like the E365 or our Creatures.
So why use a product that contains a sealant if you’re just going to replace it with a different sealant?
So you spend more. Optimum Hyper Polish into Hyperseal works better in my opinion.
The Rag Company then why not use a traditional polish? That may correct better
Manuel Lara yeah makes no sense to use a AOI Polish with a sealant only to use a different sealant. Might as well use a dedicated polish and get better results and then put a sealant on over it if you’re going to use two products.
Toyota approved 💯 👌🏻
I may have missed it , why the aggressive pad ? Just curious.
To get a little more cut
How long are you finding that the Beadmaker lasts on the surface when you use it as a removal agent like this? I top my cars with it and find it lasts about 3 weeks.
Does uno protect contain resin fillers?
put some correction lights on so we can see all the swirls
I’m not sure I understand, why replace the sealant in Uno Protect with Beadmakers ? Isn’t UnoProtect a better sealant ?
@@theragcompany Ok
What is the alternative to Bead Maker?
Nice tip
Wool sock?
For all the folks that didn’t wanna search your Facebook page 🤷♂️
What speed did you run the polisher on with the coarse wool pad?
They used speed 4
What spray are u using after you waxed the car
waterless wash
I’m surprised at how little amount of product was used. Could you get the same effect using a yellow foam pad?
Sooo, by using Beadmaker during removal, you say Beadmaker replaces the sealant in Uno Protect. Uno Protect lasts about 3 months and Beadmaker last about a month. Why would you degrade the durability by using Beadmaker?
Dumbass, it isn't replacing it. It's simply adding on to it. Making it last longer
You are stopping the timer when cleaning the pad and re-applying product... that is not right,
That has really long work time!
does anyone know the pad equivalent for the flex 3401? thanks in advance.
You could use the LC Forced Rotation pads, probably the orange one would work the best.
One protect is kind of a liquid .I bought it .it look like it
I find you need to shake it up really really good for it to get a little more solid
What speed was the machine set at?
3-4
