- So its been approx 2.5 years since I bought the Lanshan 1 pro from 3FUL and thought it was about time I updated you on how its stood the test of that time under a fair battering from the elements in very high winds , rain and generally stormy conditions that the Dartmoor and the UK in general has to offer.
Despite needing a new seam seal the tent has done very well indeed. No rips or guy line fails and zips are all working fine. A blooming good tent all round.

Enjoyed that , thanks . Interested about the bivvy bag inside . I’ve been thinking of this inside my Lanshan 1 pro for winter camping . What’s your reasons and take on this please
Thanks ! The bivvy bag as extra to my sleeping bag does keep heat in but downside is the condensation builds up inside. Not great with a down bag as can make it start to clump up. I find better way is to use a cheap thin bag inside my main bag ( mummy bag inside my wide nature hike bag) and this works better for me.

I want to buy a lanshan 1 pro and I wonder whether I need to use a ground mat for protection in addition? I cannot find any information on this. Hence, I think it is not needed, right?
In my opinion it is essential to get the ground sheet. This will protect the base of the tent as , whilst it is quite strong, there is always a chance you could snag or tear it in stone or something. I also find it helps me set a good position for the tent set up before actually setting up tent. Cheers !
Good to see u out again and the lanshan going strong... cheers for the tip about white spirit with builders silicone... my frends used the naturehike sleepbag for years like you..we spoke about it years ago... they just opted for a "black ice g1000" sleepbag as a heavy winter upgrade and it performed very well an upgrade for the colder weather from the naturehike...(just incase u were looking for something similar)ATB and the light AF mat from outdoorgearessentials is a good bit of kit.. even folded up as a sitpad

As a fellow Lanshan 1 owner, I must agree that this tent is a must on all counts... Weight, pack down size, ease of pitching, storm resistance, etc & of course value for your hard earned coppers 👍 I mean seriously ❤
Hard to beat really. I half hoped it had failed so as to move on to the next tent .... But it just keeps me loving it!!

Thanks 🙏 Yes I always use the ground sheet. Protection for base of tent and sleep mat. Also always a bit of moisture on base so easier to dry out than airing tent ⛺. Cheers
