I got a tent at REI back in about 1968 that was a two man, 4 season, 2.5lb (with poles and pegs) that packs up smaller than the one you have (Poles not in bag, strapped on pack frame). Was about $80. Still have it and still use it. The REI store was their very first one, and Jim Whittaker worked there and was in the store when I bought it.
ive had this on mam tor with 60mph winds and held really well :) and i had it set round 110 so it was all on the ground all round. it is a great tent for what it is!
lovely tent no doubts Not being a trekking pole user I have been fussing about getting carbon fibre poles instead of trekking poles. Can be done for about 40 quid on ali express for a pair . A niggle about this tent is that it can be a bugger to pitch if the ground is chalky or hard as I found hiking the South Downs Way last autumn. In that case a stand alone framed tent would be handy. You can get such a tent around the 2kg range
I've got the Pro version, it's a cracking bit of kit Liam, you get a bit of condensation in colder weather but it's easily manageable with a sponge cloth, under 1kg and a bit stronger due to the materials. I think the build quality is really good for a c150 quid tent
I was looking at the lanshan 2 for quite a while, but ended up buying the Durston X-MID 2 solid instead. The x-mid is far more expensive, so no good if your on a budget, but the features of the x-mid swung it for me, and it's stronger in the wind than the lanshan, but the lanshan isn't bad, especially if it's all you can afford. At least it allows people to get out and about on a budget. Great video as always, keep em coming👍🏻
Oh mate if we are not taking money into consideration i’d love to get a Durston! But i think they are on another level of quality compared to the 3FULGEAR stuff, maybe 1 day. Thanks for watching mate
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors Great, thanks. I was drawn in by the Lanshan 2 review, the hoodie was just a bonus - we obviously have similar tastes in affordable gear!
my brown lanshan 2 came two days ago our kid i did send for the one but the fella selling it on e,bay must of knew nothing about tents and sent me the lanshan 2 so im well pleased brother for £80 and its new never been used the thing is its got 9 pegs with it but i have never put it up before so for a first time putting it up wot tips can you give me liam because the videos have seen of people putting it up im dreading it 🥴
Tantastic to see the Scottish Highlands aren't just for windsors, rich tories or Dutch non plastic food packaging billionaire! Tbf the Dutch bloke is a decent sort😊
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors Sorry to be so blunt as the scenery looked absolutely stunning and you really seemed to like the tent. Can I ask if it was intentional or by accident? It could just be me and my eyesight 😎😎🕶🧑🦯

Mine arrived earlier this week. Looking forward to start using it next year. Heared so many good things about it.

I've got the 1 plus and 2 non pro lanshans and although both good the 2 is my favourite. It would definitely be my go to for multi dayers

I wouldn’t fancy this in 60mph mate! Its done well there!

Great review mate 👍 I think the Lanshan 2 will now be even more popular 😂 take care Liam and God bless you 🙏🙏
Thanks Colin, its a good tent for the money and will serve me well. Take it easy mate
so tempted to buy one of these..... I don't strictly neeeeeed another tent.....but I do want one lol.
My go to tent mate. Sun, rain, snow, wind (up to 35mph)
I’ve not had it out in any testing conditions yet but glad to hear that mate 👍🏼
Have you used the 4 season inner in winter?
No mate i’ve only got the 3 season version but I don’t tend to use this tent in winter really
Did you have to seam seal waterproof it?
Put a little dab on the guy out points. Should of mentioned that 🫣
Thanks mate. 🤙🏻
Thank you!
I've been looking at that Higher State hoodie you're wearing - would you recommend it?
Yes mate its what I wear as a base layer on 90% of all my hikes 👍🏼👍🏼 Great quality and cheaper than some of the more popular brands

Looks a belter ! 👍
Great tent for the money mate

For stealth camping it needs to be in olive green
Yeah like a Naturehike Forest green colour would be good.
Have you ever thought about camping amongst dark rocks , boulders etc ...
@@jaycearoo A camoflaged tent would be ideal. A bright green one will stand out like a sore thumb. It's difficult to drive pegs into rocks.
What about condensation?
0 condensation so far 👍🏼 keep the trekking poles high and with it being the 3 season mesh inner it stays well ventilated.
Is that the 3 season version ?
Yes mate 3 season mesh inner
Good weight, good price, lovelyyyy colour. Can I borrow it?🤔⛺️
No thanks , you actually bought me it
Great video thanks
Thanks for watching !
Ive wanted something like this for a while but i'm seriously looking at the vango Heddon 100 instead. I'm in 2 minds. Dont know which button to click
get this over the 100, more room for less weight👍🏼
looks a good tent
Really good for the money 👍🏼
Ive got the pro, and love it 👍
Great tents 👍🏼
they are popular untill even mild storm destroys it. im all for tension tents, but i prefer mld products.
Yeah I wouldn’t use this in bad conditions, stick to my Hilleberg for that!
Had the pro 2 for years wouldn't have any other tent in summer
Great tent for the money, thanks for watching Micah 😊👍🏼

Dude what?
Light weight, cheap price, good quality, no reason not to choose---Camperlists
Exactly this 👍🏼 thanks for watching
I did laugh at midges loving life inside your tent 😂🏕️🦟🥳
Lol they must love the colour 😅
They ain't worth the penny to be honest, the material is inferior!
funny.
The review might be fantastic but I couldn't watch it because of the headache inducing cutting of the video.
You’re the first to mention that, thanks for your honesty, I appreciate it.
