I believe you CAN charge and use at same time ( but would need to check this) . My solar panel is rated 100W ( seldom reaches that in UK) and works fine.

There are two connection systems for walking poles, one under arm - left side and the other outside edge. I imagine ok for ice ⛏️ but never tried myself. There are also numerous other netting loops which you may be able to use. Cheers !

I bought it as a day sack but have just come off an over night on Dartmoor with my lite weight gear......just about warm enough here for that now. Its a nice bit of kit but will upgrade to the slightly larger roll top one this year for camping. Cheers.

Thanks 🙏 Yes I always use the ground sheet. Protection for base of tent and sleep mat. Also always a bit of moisture on base so easier to dry out than airing tent ⛺. Cheers

Its easy. Pitch the tent and tighten all guy lines up. Dilute some builders silicone with some white spirit and mix to a "wall paper paste" consistency. Use small brush to paint over the stitched seams externally. Go slow but just cover the seam. Allow to dry for at least an hour. Cover the seams with a lite dusting of talc powder. Leave for another 20 mins. Check all dry to touch and bobs your uncle. I've had no issues with water ingress and its had some very heavy use in high winds and rain, Cheers.

Sorry you were cold. Silk liner adds a view degrees......and in winter I put a thin extra bag inside. The sleep mat is the UL80 which is great design, but no thermal protection, so needs thermal roll mat on ground also in winter months. Arigato !

In retrospect I did get cold because I was not wearing a jacket like you instead was just wearing leggings and long sleeve undergarments. Because that is apparently how you're supposed to sleep in such bodybag. Of course it would have been much better if I would have kept trousers and jacket on, like you 😉 but it was the first time ever to use a sleeping bag.

Ah ok. You should try camping in the wilds of Dartmoor......the wind and the cold in winter is rough. Can't believe its the first time you have used a sleeping bag.......I pretty much live in one ! haha

Its been a good bag, even though it has lost a few feathers. But not good enough for below 4c really. I had another small mummy bag inside if cold and that works just fine. Synthetic may be warmer but bulky and heavy. Just depends what you need. Cheers.

@@FiftyandNifty Thanks for replying. I've been looking at some Snugpak bags and they have a synthetic filling that is similar to down and also compresses like down fill bags. People seem to rate them pretty highly but the only thing is that they are mainly mummy style bags. I'm a belly side sleeper.

Yeah Snugpak have a good name. Not used any of their gear so can't say for myself. I prefer a wider bag but do also use my mummy bag if really cold. Cheers.

@@FiftyandNifty I'm the same with needing a roomier bag than a mummy one. Snugpak though, because they are suppliers to the military, focus on the mummy type. I'm looking at the one square type they make combined with their jungle blanket which has had good reviews. What would be your thoughts on that set up? Your wisdom is appreciated.

I've tried using an extra thin bag just as a blanket over top of main bag, but found its not as good as putting one bag (even a thin one) inside the other. Its all about layers and trapping heat in as with clothes. Same idea really. But in cold, especially when ground is wet, you are going to loose heat to the ground, so really important you have a mat with good R value or an extra reflective (shiny side up) mat to prevent heat loss. Yes looks good about the size I'm looking for but I think it takes a long time charging from the mains with this 20v adapter.

Strangely enough I am wearing it now ( -2c) ! Loosing a bit of loft but not too bad. 5 mins in the tumble dryer usually plumps it up a bit when needed. But no other issues...stitching all still good, zipper fine. Bargain as it turns out ! Cheers !
