- In this episode, we take on the demon of Castle Graceskull, in hopes of using it to defeat the Archfiend for us.

An RPG where if you defeat the optional megaboss, you get to watch said optional boss beat the game for you....That is just awesome, NEVER seen that in a game before
When the final boss meets the optional secret uber mega boss and gets stomped was such an awesome moment.
Nokturnus held back when he fought the heroes.

Well, I remember defeating Nockturnus in more than 20 turns won't trigger the special end, but it'll get the chance to get Liquid Metal Mind to train the Liquid Metal Slime job/vocation to all of the party members.
What a Terryble cliffhanger there at the end.

The hardest boss of all DQ's history.
We need more stuff like beating certain bosses gets you stuff like this. Watching the superboss tear the final boss to shreds is awesome!

Yes! Finally caught up. I really just wanna say thank you HCBailly for doing this game. This was my least favourite Dragon Quest game having only played it once and not really understanding the intricacies to the job system( played this blind not knowing there'd be a job system and just grinded a whole bunch before (both) murdaw fight(s), so I never got job experience for a long time; who knew there'd be area level caps). But thanks to your playthrough this really has risen up to be one of my favourites, what with all the different strategies you could use! Just had to play along after your low level murdaw...
