@@AndyTheXTech Australia bro, i will be replacing mine, once the shipment arives from eBay, sux living rural, Ball joints $60 and ball joint kit $60, i am sure it will be fun.
That ball joint didn't have a grease nipple. mine is like that. can I drill and tap in the middle of the top to install a grease nipple? or are these supposed to be already greased?
If you go to the description of the video there is a link for that tool. It’s the second link that’s a good kit. And I think your gun should have plenty of torque to be able to do this job. 👍
@@AndyTheXTech Thanks. I presume that the kit will also remove ball joints in a Nissan Navara? Also, do you have a video on removing bushes from the control arms and will the kit help remove them? Thanks in advance.
@@marcogonzalez7829 Yes this kit is pretty much a universal kit that will work on all vehicles. It’s great many uses I bought one 20 years ago and have used it on many projects.
No I think it might be easier. I think those are bolted in. You might have to drill out some rivets but other than that no specialty tools or anything.
@@AndyTheXTech Andy, Thanks so much for this information. I know the boots are ripped on both of the lower ball joints. I'm not so sure about the upper ball joints.
If you’re doing a front axle most of the steps are the same. Once you get the knuckle off and out of the way. Then you can pry the axle out of the front differential. Thank you for checking out the video. And for the feedback. 😁👍
Got both sides to the point of dropping the knuckle off the ball joint 1:55 and neither will move. Looks to me you cut something out of the vid that broke that seal so hitting it would work. Seems like most videos are doing this, they all gloss over it.
OK I think I know what you’re talking about. What I did was use a long punch and tried to hammer down on the knuckle to break it free from the lower ball joint it needs to slide down. Make sure you take that lower bolt out of the knuckle. I hope this helps.
@@AndyTheXTech thanks for the reply. I had been hammering like you had on and off for a week with no result. Wasn't until I hammered a cold chisel into the expansion slot where the bolt came out that it went anywhere. An hour of that both sides and got it done. Thanks for the vid, would never have tried this job if not for it.
Lol you like that? That’s custom made. That was an internal component from a transfer case That was junk. I just gridded down one end like a pencil. It works great I’ve had it for a long time.
Man that is a lot of work to get to that thing. That tool made it look easy though! Nice job, Andy! 👍
Thanks man! ya you definitely going to have the right tools for the job.
Nicely done! Didn't realize until the end that this wasn't your Pathfinder lol
Thanks man. Ya it was a fun job.
Good video, done this on a disco before but got a pathfinder to do soon.
Nice 👍 I love Pathfinders there great vehicles.
You're the guy from 1A Autoparts!
Ha ha you found me. 😁👍
Thanks mate you saved me over $1500
Awesome! Your welcome. Glad to help. Where are you from?

That’s wicked cool. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia. Thank you for checking out the video and good luck I’m sure you’re gonna do great. 👍
@@AndyTheXTech no worries thanks 🙂
Also, would you know if the titan wheel hub fit the frontier knuckle?
there are more wheels for titan than frontier.
I would think they are different. I’m not sure tho. If I find out I will let you know.

No you do not have drill a hole for a grease fitting. They already have grease in the and should last a long time. Good question. Thank you. 👍
@@AndyTheXTech Mine came without grease?
I still wouldn’t drill any holes. You could contact the company that made ball joint and ask them what’s up?
Easy to follow but still don’t think I could do it 😂 awesome video tho!!
Yeah man it’s tough. You definitely got to start going to the gym buddy 🤣👍
Andy The X Tech hahahah rude!
🤣 just trying to help you out brotha!
Excelente jobs
Thank you! 😁👍
Hi, where can I buy the ball joint removal kit? And I've got a cordless rattle gun with about 550nm of torque. Will that be enough to do the job?

Hi,
I've got a 1991 4 wheel drive 5 speed Pathfinder. Is this video fairly close to what my Pathfinder looks like?
Thanks, Tom

Awesome glad to help. Next time I do a ball joint similar to that one I’ll try to show that technique. Thanks for the feedback. 😉👍
where did you get that giant punch tool?

Hi, how long did I take from start to finish? Thank you
I would say its about 1.5 - 2 hour job.
No tool description or sizes🤷🏾♂️
Do you need alignment after you change the ball joint?
Yup whenever suspension parts are replaced. I should have said that in the video. Thanks for the question.
5:20 🤣👍
