Just so everyone knows, the house in Louisiana only got a couple inches of rain. The storm was a no show in that area luckily. The Louisiana house is doing fine.
Thanks for letting us know. Joe. I know many of us were worried about Melissa family and the house. Melissa and your hardwork at The Farm House really shows in the before and after shot.
Hello there. My but you and your wife stay pretty busy and you sound like you enjoy it. The property looks great and seeing that little deer running around is great. I wish my grandchildren were able to live in a place that would allow them the freedom to just be kids.
Oh , the chicken coup is looking very , very nice. The best looking chicken house I have ever seen . Those chickens will be living in class. Great job. I look forward to the next video. ☺
Loving the Farmhouse property even more Joe. It is truly a beauty to behold and I'm sure lots of work to maintain. You and Melissa are really doing a wonderful job of bringing it back to life.
The chicken coop is sure looking cute. I love the porch on it. And the yard is really shaping up, too. It lookes beautiful after Melissa mowed. You two are doing such a great job of turning the farmhouse into a beautiful home and property. Love seeing all the cats laying around, too 🐈🐱🐺🐾🐾🐾🐾😊
Sandra Kohlstedt is Sandra Sherritt. (Maiden name - Kohlstedt) I was born in Northwestern Iowa and all the Kohlstedts and the Weisbrodt's are buried in Fenton, Iowa. Weisbrodt's were my maternal grandmother's family. Living in Minnesota, you may know the names.
So glad you reminded us what that place looked like when you bought it. Wow. So that's what all that hard work will bring you! Downright inspiring, Joe, and I'm not kidding.
I give you all the credit in the world Joe. you are a machine, maintaining 3 properties working full time and doing all of these awesome videos. Thanks for the videos Joe, I'm tipping a beer to you.
Thanks for letting us know about your house there in Louisiana. My husband and I followed the news / weather channel on cable, about the storm. I thought about your home there and was concerned if the storm had blown through there. I am glad that your place was unharmed. I really enjoyed this video , the yard there is very nice& neat. You are a great man Joe, I love how it's important to you to keep things up & running smoothly as possible. One of our daughters lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and I talked with her on Wednesday this week and she said they had lots of rain that blew through there , coming from that storm. She lives in an apartment there. Thanks for sharing your video's . I enjoy watching them . Have a blessed day.😇 .
Looking great!!!... Glad to hear the house in Louisiana didn't get much rain. I'm praying everything goes well so that the remaining projects can get done and you can scratch that home off the to do list.
Hi Joe, I have been watching your videos for a while now and I really enjoy them. I wondered if you could take some time to tell your story?Things like we're you grew up. Jobs that you have had. How you got started in construction. Who has been a big influence in your life growing up. We're your great work ethic comes from. All these things I think are interesting. Again thank you so much for your time and effort on your videos! Larry
We get a lot of deer around here, too. The Sitka Black Tailed deer are rather small, but not to gamey flavored -- more like lamb. Our deer season is from August 1st to January 1st. When we were kids, there was a female that my brother tried to get to come to him in our front yard, but she was too shy, so he came into the house and brought me out. I was four or five. She came right up to me and we both got to pet her. Last spring, same house but now my youngest and his wife live in the old family homestead, and this time a doe and her fawn were grazing in the yard. Since us females can be quite protective of our young, I did not want to leave the house and walk past her, so I had to wait until they were both on the side of the house. She just stood there and looked at me when I came out the door, and I just said hi and told her I was leaving and that she was very beautiful. I believe they understand intent pretty well.
I'm surprised those pine needles on the roof of the shed aren't driving you nuts. I would have had to deal with them before the rafters. The place is looking fantastic! You really picked an amazing property with lots of potential.
@@NorthernSeclusion Ok Joe! we"ll go with lovey then. The old videos are LOVEY once again! I am enjoying them. Comparing progress from then to now. So kool!
I am born and raised in Duluth and still reside in Duluth. I see you guys were living in Cloquet for a time until you bought your new home. Since I work for UPS hell I maybe delivering packages to your new home.. lol. Anyway its good to see a channel that deals with living in the country up here in God's country. I hope the mosquitoes are not driving you guys nuts as this is a bad year for them and horse flies. Take care and I just subscribe too.
We have had UPS at the house in Cloquet more than once, it may have very well been you. Thank You. Mosquitoes and horse flies are crazy at certain times of the day.
Looks great with the green grass! The last time I saw a video of there. You had snow about 6 inches on the deck and rails. You were plowing snow too!!! LOL! Glad the place in la. is ok.
Get yo self a weed eater. Your place looks real good. I love watching the deer come in your yard. You’ be done alot of work on the place and it looks better than the pictures I’ve seen. Don’t work so hard. Rest a little once in awhile. Don’t take on more than you can’t handle.
The chicken coop is starting to resemble a "she shed"....lol. But I guess you have the workshop, so Melissa needs her "zen zone" as well. The place is really starting to take shape.
Joe, you need to relax some. I think you work too much. It's nice to get everything done but, all work and no play makes a dull life. Hugs and Blessings!
Wow 20 plus inches of rain. That's scary. Imagine if it was winter tho... 1 inch of rain = 10 inches of snow. 200 inches of snow! 16.5 FEET! (If my math is correct... They say there's 3 types of men. Those than can do math, and those that can't) Seriously, praying you all weathered it out ok. See Ya on the next one.
When I was about 8 years old (about 1961) my parents moved the family into a rental that had once been a chicken coop. The linoleum flooring was used cover the countertops ... the lights all hung down from the ceiling with pull chains to turn them off/on. The kitchen faucets were the kind you find on the outside of the house that you would connect a hose to. The bathroom was an add-on, lean-to made of plywood held up by four by four posts sitting on cinder blocks (that were sinking on one side). The bathroom had an old claw-foot tub, vintage porcelain sink and toilet. During the winter we'd use a stick to break the ice in the toilet so it could be flushed. The heating system was an old, inefficient, freestanding oil stove that sat in the living room. When it got really cold at night my sisters and I would bring our blankets and pillows from the bedroom and sleep huddled up next the the stove. It was pretty miserable. Hope your coop conversion is a sweet, rustic, comfortable and warm haven for someone.
We thought you all lived in Minnesota. But, hearing you talk about Louisiana, call us confused. However, we live in Mobile, Alabama and share a weather pattern and fear of hurricanes with you...love of seafood. Geaux Tigers and Geaux Saints.
I don't know why, but watching someone else work this hard is oddly satisfying. Guess I'll be ready when/if my evil plans for world domination prove fruitful. Cheers Joe & Melissa
Wow Joe....another jackpot....The farmhouse is amazing....Let me know what the rent is on the chicken coop...I’m in....love the videos....I’ll work for my rent....lol...Thanks Joe..
Hey Joe, I know I am not the first one to mention this I'm sure. Have you thought about getting a bush hog for the tractor, for all that mowing y'all are having to do? Love the videos, glad y'all's Louisiana house was not hit bad, we barely even got rain here in north Louisiana.
Have you ever considered getting a drone... I know that's added work for your videos... but I think it would be amazing to see your place and all the improvements from the air.
You guys need to get a 52 or 60 inch commercial zero turn mower You will save so much time mowing That or get a bush hog for the tractor More time for fun instead of mowing your life away
Just so everyone knows, the house in Louisiana only got a couple inches of rain. The storm was a no show in that area luckily. The Louisiana house is doing fine.

Just found your channel. Hello from Monroe Louisiana!❤
The chicken coop is starting to resemble a "she shed"....lol. But I guess you have the workshop, so Melissa needs her "zen zone" as well. The place is really starting to take shape.
Nelly sure likes to follow you around.
You drove thru Braham on Pie Days. :) The farm house is looking good. Still think you need to get a brush hog or even a sickle bar for the M.
Joe, you need to relax some. I think you work too much. It's nice to get everything done but, all work and no play makes a dull life. Hugs and Blessings!
I feel anxiety when I am not busy.
What a good life your living

Need a feeder Joe, or at least a bag of corn. 👍✌️
We do that all winter.

Your mower blade needs sharped, thanks for the video
NY warnings of 110 degrees feel like this week too , got my hydration bladder pack going .
Looking real nice.

HEY JOE, MY KIND OF VIDEO.!!!! GRASS IN YOUR FACE ACTION.!!!!!! THANKS, JOE.!!!!!!!
Sure glad she never had any rain damage. I was concerned when I heard about the storm moving out of the Gulf
Good Video - Now its time for grilled pork steak and some Polka music.
Saw a four point in velvet eating the neighbors decorative shrubs this morning, good times.
You really need a bigger mower Joe, that's a lot of grass to mow with that small lawn mower. lol
Lol....and, the cats devilin' the birds!
Hey Joe, I know I am not the first one to mention this I'm sure. Have you thought about getting a bush hog for the tractor, for all that mowing y'all are having to do? Love the videos, glad y'all's Louisiana house was not hit bad, we barely even got rain here in north Louisiana.
We definitely have to get some sort of bigger mower. It all costs money though and I have yet to grow a money tree. Lol.
Have you ever considered getting a drone... I know that's added work for your videos... but I think it would be amazing to see your place and all the improvements from the air.
We have 2 of them, I just have not practiced enough to get the hang of running them.
I think you might want to consider a bush hog attachment for the Farm-All.
time to visit Tractor Supply & get a brush hog that little tractor wont last.
Amazing how a green space can be sold cold in just a few short months.
Joe...the coop and yard are looking great...any plans on the hobby farm driveway...it beat the heck out of your truck at the end of this video.
The driveway will eventually be looped all the way around.
You guys need to get a 52 or 60 inch commercial zero turn mower
You will save so much time mowing
That or get a bush hog for the tractor

I agree with getting a zero turn. I had one at my old house and you can fly with those things, plus they're a ball to drive
