  • This time up at The Farmhouse was once again busy and productive. The Farmall M once again gets a workout cleaning up around the workshop barn and up by the chicken coop. Lights get installed so she is ready to push snow in the dark if needed. Trail cameras. Farmhouse cooking. Trying to burn out a stump.

I am thinking that this kind of work is much more meaningfull than going to any gym. You don't have to pay anyone to work out, you can grow food and have animals there, and it raises the value of the property. It' a no brainer! The place is shaping up very nicely. Well done!

The pic of the deer with the trees behind them and all the green grass, looks like a National Park. You really had a vision for this property, it's so serene.

That tractor is your new best friend. Has saved you months of back-breaking work! Can't wait for the winter burn. All that composted sawdust would be great for your spring garden area. You are an awesome worker!

Tip- get a old 55 gallon drum. Cut the bottom and top out so it’s nothing more than a tube. Put it over the stump. Fill with wood and light it. The tube will keep the heat confined and burn the stump better and faster. It’s also a little safer as it keeps the fire contained and less chance of the wind blowing embers into the yard.

A front bucket grappling system with 2 claws would be a nice add-on to the tractor....to pick up things rather than getting off the tractor n put the stuff in the bucket.. manually.. 2ndly its almost time to add some gravel around the drive in and around the workshop would look super nice....plus you can park the truck really close to the building to take stuff in or out...everything looks clean n neat,..some barn light fixtures attached outside with LED bulbs would give it more lighting at night. stay safe, God bless

Joe, I've been watching a guy that's pretty reliable on the internet. He does a weather forecast. He's saying that in your area - Minnesota. That it's supposed to be, a colder than average winter, with heavy precipitation of snow! You definitely need a wood stove out there!!! LOL! Keep up the great videos. My grandparents on my Moms side (both have been gone for a long time now) had a farm and no garbage service was out there. They had a burning barrel and they had a big junk pile. Great video Joe,your place is looking great!....a suggestion for burning those stumps (something i have done many times and works very well)..take a sheet of old roofing steel or half a 40 gallon drum with the end cut out-make a ring around the stump and build a fire inside ...it holds the heat in and will make short work of the stumps.

Next time you take down the wire from the trees, slip them inside an old water hose. The water hose can be split for easier insertion of the wire and cushions the wire so it's not so likely to cut into the bark. I found an old hose in the middle of the road that I use for such things. ❤🌅🌵
