His generation of heavy weights where real monsters and he was rite up there with the best of them. One of the best things I've seen in boxing was him finally winning his hw World title.
Mike Tyson was the best Boxer with Ko power in history for me right up in till he left Kevin Rooney & went with Don king he was never the same after that. Youngest heavy weight champion in history aged 20 Years Old and undisputed at 21 Yrs old WOW just wow from Sheffield England SWFC
Yeh pound for pound he must of been the hardest hitter in the world. At 21 he was knocking out experienced heavyweights 10/11 years older than him. Considering most heavyweights dont peak until their mid 30s, he was amazing to watch.
So true. The guys he was KO weren't bad boxers or fighters in fact some went on to have good careers. I guess Tyson was doing things differently because he was KO guys who were peeking at 33 or so, all the while being only 21 or 22 himself. Heavyweight Boxing just doesn't work that way normally. I think Tysons 1st fight without Rooney and Cus and some other trusted guys like his biographer and photographers you know people that were in Cus's Inner circle showed. That fight with Tyson was Tysons 1st without his proper crew......
Absolutely love big Frank. Followed his fighting career from the early 80's. Good luck Frank. I cannot understand why this man is not yet knighted, he has, & is an inspiration to our youth and a boxing legend
Frank in his day was one hell of a fighter. A left jab that was up there with the best ever, coupled with a devastating right. Was so glad when he eventually got the crown. Never met him but he always seems such a down to earth all round nice guy.
I've been told by people who have met Frank many times during charity events and his work with Christian groups and they had nothing but absolute love for this man. For me, he has always embodied the spirit of what a true gentleman is.
