As a landlord I would only dream of having the rental property in that great of shape. God will bless you for leaving it better than you got it.
I agree , we rented out a home and, we promised never again. People were disrespectful to us and did things that we didn't approve of. We had 2 renters out of 6 that we were ok with. But, the others neglected our house.
As a lanlord myself I wish there had been a couple limes this.

"photo album in our soul" I love that line. That's what I feel when I remember my son. I hope I don't ever have memory loss I want to always remember him. I'll fly high to him one day but until then I want to remember his sweet smile his beautiful heart he was true angel on earth.
My wife are 73 74 and all the little things we still do together are still memories even if it a nice ride, going out for breakfast or dinner even shopping for decorations for holidays. Flower for outdoors we say where still getting around and being together are memories.
Love you guys I am 63 and sadly am almost blind but listening to the love you have for each other children and family lifts me up so much thank you from uk

Our family of 7 recently felt Gods prompting to move to Florida as well. We left our home on Long Island of 16 years where were born and raised. It was a huge adjustment and many things are different, but be comforted that where the Lord leads He will always provide. God bless your beautiful family during this next adventure chapter💖

Mostly my question is WHY - what was the motivating factor?
They didn’t state any reasons,odd. Do they not see their family and have relationships with them? I feel their lives aren’t as sunny as they make them out to be I never see family around their kids.

@@Mariekr49 we are super close to our family. We just moved 2 months ago (3yrs of prayers in the making) from PA to Missouri. Our reasons were land, slower paced life, simplifying and God brought us here and lined things up for us. We know no one and left all of our family behind whom we love so much, was hard but it was best for our family (my hubby and our kids) . People think we are crazy but it’s blessed us so much

Oh, Paine Family! I will be praying for you as you take on this new challenge. We recently moved states, and while we know the Lord intends for us to be here, we miss our home. We brought all 4 babies home to that house. Praying for peace as you do all the things you need to get done. ❤️

Congratulations! A year and a half ago we moved from northern Illinois to the Northeast Tennessee. My parents brought our family peonies with us. They got 3 generations and are doing pretty well considering their new climate. 😃
My husband and I moved our family of seven to Florida from Massachusetts in 2021. While it was a huge endeavor, it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!! We love it here, and our family is thriving.❤️

Welcome to Florida!!! We’re just east of Tampa. One nice thing about living here is that you can grow food all year!! There are many rural areas where you can have your animals! And you’ll figure out the transport… we travel between here, southern Illinois and northeast Tennessee with our flock of laying hens two to three times a year!! My husband says you don’t have to be crazy, but it helps! 😜

Also, east of Tampa. Welcome to our wonderful State! How blessed we are to have you have coming. Many places you can still farm, have gardens. In fact, I live in such a county. So many exciting things happening. We were in your boat , about 17 yrs ago. All our family and friends elsewhere around the country, but God led and made the way. We have been blessed and He has used our family, our kids now grown and gone, we are still deeply rooted here and don’t plan on leaving till He calls us! 😄 God bless you all on this exciting new adventure! I was born and raised in Florida, born in Eastpiont but moved to AUBURNDALE ( Polk County) in middle school. It is not the same as it use to be. but it is Home.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, then my parents moved us to Florida, I was there for 20 years you’ll love it, I hated the heat but the tropical fruits and plants are just beautiful, I lived in the Jacksonville area and then Tampa area it’s wonderful congratulations and just let God lead your way!

I will be praying for y’all!! I’m in Florida, and my favorite thing is to grow things. The dirt (sand sand sand) is terrible where I am in South Florida, but we buy dirt. Yesterday, one of our beautiful banana trees had its first flower! Next, we will have bananas.
So, you can certainly grow things, but you might need to plant different things.
I’m excited for all of you and also feel sad that you will also have to leave some precious memories.

I loved hearing how God is sending your family on a new adventure. My family of (7) will be heading on our own new adventure as well. We will be leaving California, and heading to either Alabama or Tennessee.

The Lord sent my husband and I to live in Indiana without knowing anyone out here. But He's provided us with so much so that we can start a family. HE is good.

@@lissadiazhogan702 Polk County is all rural area,there are no big shopping centers here but we do have the best darn SHERIFF IN THE USA.He believes in protecting your family first and tells you to do what it takes to do just that.We are pretty safe here,most people really like him and you can tell who the criminals are because they always have negative things to say about him.His name is SHERIFF GRADY JUDD,LOOK HIM UP ON YOU TUBE.He gives awesome news updates regularly and most always gets his man…or woman.

Good luck in this new chapter in the book of your lives. I moved from the Midwest to Florida - where I lived for 45 years. Then moved back to marry my 8th grade boyfriend after not seeing him for 52 years. But, I want to tell you about a wonderful plant nursery in Tallahassee, Florida. I was their bookkeeper/business manager for eight years. It is simply lovely. It won best nursery in the South for Southern Living magazine. I know you love your flowers, Erin, so if you ever get close to Tallahassee make sure to visit Tallahassee Nurseries ... it is full of beautiful flowers and trees and a staff of landscape designers and extremely knowledgeable people who can help you pick what is native to Florida. Best of luck to your family! Congratulations. I’ve been planting my avocado and lemon seeds for a few years now. We are moving to Florida in a few years. My plan is to bring all of my tropical plants with me to Florida. My dream is to plant them on my Florida property.
Congratulations! Moving has its’ difficulties, but as your Mother-in-law said, think of it as an adventure. I’m my 20’s my husband & I moved abroad, to France & Israel. Then we came back home to Maryland with a daughter, and son. Lots of adjustments plus long plane rides but it was an adventure and I remember fondly at the experiences. God bless you all, and I’m looking forward to hearing more about the new home that The Lord lead you both to.

Growing flowers depends on which zone in FL
I live in South Florida so there are a few things I can’t grow outdoors such as hydrangea but most flowers do well here. We plant in October when it cools down so I wouldn’t recommend if you move in the summer to try to plant a lot of things.
Find a local nursery that grows here so that those plants will be more hearty. Roses grow very well here and orchids too. My best advice is don’t try to go to Disney World or any place that you’re gonna be outdoors a lot during the summer months. From October to May The weather here is fantastic. We have local gardens clubs which you might enjoy. Welcome to FL! The kids will love it !
Yeah!!! Welcome to Florida!!! Lived her my entire life! Love rasing my family of five kiddos here!!! It does get hot in summer but you can grow all winter long!!! We garden, have a small herd of cows and raise chickens and rabbits in North Central Florida. So excited for you all!! Welcome to our state!!! We'll be praying!

Erin and Chad, when I heard y’all talk about praying for GOD to shut every door/window except the one HE wants you to go through… I cried for you! You see, my husband and I have been married 33yrs, 2 adult children, 3 PERFECT grand-babies. We have moved a LOT in the 1st 1/2 of our marriage (15yrs), we moved 9 times! Most of them were job related; the other moves were local, to bigger/better as we had children. However, each time the opportunity came up (especially the NON local), my husband and I held hands, quietly praying. Our big prayer was IF this was GODS WILL…. IF this job was HIS WILL, IF this far off location was HIS WILL…. To shut every single window, every single door, not leaving even an inch open, EXCEPT the only one GOD wanted us to go through! Every time we made that prayer, regardless of the being kinda nervous moving somewhere hours and hours away from family and friends, we felt the most wonderful PEACE! Every thing that “could go wrong”, never happened! The finding a home, locating a home church that we felt loved at and one we could bring our love to as well, etc., was also so easy, that it was almost scary lol
So…. From this oldER couple/family, who has a lot of moves under our belts, that as long as you completely wholeheartedly hand it over to GOD. Also, asking HIM to slam every door and window shut (I always add “and nail them shut!”) except the one HE wants you to go through, then know in peace, that you are doing what HE wants, and will be there for this entire new path your family will be going through!
GOD bless your family and I will be praying for finding your home and the move to be ultra easy, and nothing to be a worry to you.
**in RE: amount of times moving- I am a Methodist pastors’ daughter. Dad is also a “special” kind of pastor, who was sent to churches that are very close to closing their doors for whatever reason. Dad comes in, and in all but 1 church, was able to get the church on their own feet, flourishing financially, as well as membership going up and up. The one big problem with being a pastor of his credentials, we never stayed at any church longer then 2years! Most years, we only stayed 1year! That made it very hard, especially when my 3 brothers and I were old enough to be getting good friends, to have to leave them. Dad is now “semi” retired. He isn’t used to go to churches in need. He lives about 30min from my family. He and his wife (my beautiful bonus mama!), only agree to pastor churches that are well less then 45-60 mins away. He was just given a church that’s about 30min away, and will start their next chapter early July!
I understand your history of moves. I was a pastor's wife for 26 years in the Methodist Church. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 50.

My husband dug up 4 large crepe myrtles from our yard in NC to bring to eastern TN when we moved. I had no idea he was going to do this. He took me outside and told me to pick my favorite. I was blessed for 34 years with this wonderful man. He was a great husband, father and friend. It was so hard to sell my home and leave all the plants and trees he planted for me behind. But, I had to do it, it’s done and it’s time to move on. God bless you on your move. I’m sure you’ll love Florida. You’ll miss the seasons the most but, there will be many other things to enjoy.
I uprooted to Florida with my husband (Florida native) 9 yrs ago and love it! . I love the sun and very mild winters. We joke that we “actually had winter” this year. Oh,
But contrary to belief, it does rain a lot, but it’s so different. It’s quick, out of nowhere, and dries up like it never happened within minutes. Good luck on your new adventure!!

God knows what that is, and most people do not understanding the blessings of hearing his voice direct us. All that beauty and peace you had there in Tennessee helped you to hear God's voice so loud and clear and now that you have, He wants you to take that to Florida and teach others also to hear Him as well, and to show them all the beauty there is when God is in us and by our sides. Following the Lord and stepping out in faith is the greatest adventure! We moved to Uganda 7 years ago to work as missionaries at a children's hospital. We never dreamed we would still be here 7 years later. It's been the most amazing, hardest, and wildest adventure ever! God's has been with us each step. He will be with you guys every step as well!

I remember when the Duggar’s came to TN for your wedding and you took some of the girls to see the house, and I thought it was so cute. That was on their show of course. I remember so well how beautiful you were and what a pleasant person you were. When I found out Bringing Up Bates was going to have a show I counted down to the first episode. I just love you all and I just live like an hour away. Now I’m thankful for your channel. I’m a few episodes behind, we’ve been doing home remodeling and decorating and I’m using some of your ideas. Erin you are so talented at decorating and Chad you’re so talented at everything working with wood

Yes!! When we first moved down here from Indiana, we had huge garden cloos for two years as we tried to do it as we did up north. After learning when to plant and what to plant, our gardens have thrived! But it is very, very different than other parts of the country.

Flowers that do well for us in South Florida: Roselle (you can make Florida cranberry sauce, hibiscus tea or jams with the calyxes), red garnet amaranth (grow to five feet tall), sunflowers (grow almost all year long) marigolds (they grow pretty tall!).
I moved from my family in 1987 from Chicago to Orlando Fl with my husband and ten month old daughter.It was so hard at the time I cried a lot and as hard as it was those first ten years alone here, my husband and I were really able to cleave to one another , found a wonderful home, and built our life together. Eventually my parents moved here and my brother and his wife moved here, so we ended up with family close by and made some wonderful friends. I know that you have prayed about this very hard and am sure you will do well in this move. Florida is hot but my eldest daughter and her three children spent 8 weeks here because here state was having a brutal winter. So I think all places have their pluses and minuses and it is just what you make of it. We will pray that this move brings wonderful things for your family. Keep us all posted.

Florida! I am a Florida gardener and spent the day working on and off in my veggie/flower garden today in 95 degree heat. What an adventure!
I've taken rose bushes with me and clippings from favorite bushes and plants. Some are from two houses and two states and 20 years ago. My father asked me one time "How can you leave your family?" (meaning him), and I said, "Dad, I'm moving with my family - my husband and two little boys". God lead us all the way and He is leading you. The hardest part is making sure your kids see grandparents several times a year to keep building those memories and relationships. I loved moving - new house to decorate - new people to meet - gives me a reason to clean out and pare down. Can't wait to go along with you on this new adventure.
That’s exciting! Please take the animals with you! They are part of your family. If you can’t take the farm animals please show us what family takes them in. Are you buying a house (rather then renting?) Where? Near Erin’s sister? I would take some of my flowers/plants too!
What wonderful new adventures you’ll have. My husband and I have moved 12 times in 14 years while having 7 kids- I would NOT suggest doing that. But with every place we had tons of sweet memories.
