Oh my goodness. Please do more cooking videos. I absolutely loved this. I do recommend getting Finley a suction plate with toddler sized silver ware, so that she can be independent and learn to eat on her own. (Coming from an early childhood educated, lol.)
@@bethlear3998I disagree we only rinse rice once - I’m pretty sure the rice in USA is of a very high standard rinsing once is sufficient unless it’s basmati I would wash and rinse 3 times.
I made this meal after watching this video and had enough to eat at home with my grandson, granddaughter and daughter. Plus had enough to also share with my parents who are missionaries with JAARS. Thank you for sharing.
Erin you are so patient while teaching your girls to cook!Maybe soon they will be cooking for you a lot!Congratulations on having a little boy soon!I’m sure Chad and big brother are very excited as well as you and the girls!

Erin, what a peaceful, longing mama you are! Such an inspiration! I have 6 kiddos. I love your videos. I will make this tonight! Also loved your toy tips videos too- for keeping kids busy. Thanks!❤
This takes me back to my childhood. My Mama had one boy and then us 4 girls. She taught all of us girls how to clean and cook. After my mama had my brother and 2 of my older sisters, my daddy decided to move from Look Out Mountain to Florida, where most of his siblings had moved. My daddy built a good size home and Mama then had us last 2 girls. We had lots of land to run around and play on but, by the time I was in the second grade our property seemed like it had been taken over by a lot of poisonous snakes so, he moved us closer to the coast near the beach. This time he bought a home for us in a neighborhood with paved streets and we made lots of new friends. My mom had high anxiety and she would never let us have a bike because she thought we would get hit by a car in our neighborhood but, she had no problem standing me on a chair and having me peel potatoes with a butcher knife to get them ready to cook for dinner. I think about that now and laugh but, I could have fell off the chair and stabbed myself. I think the bike would’ve been a safer choice but, God was watching over all of us and if there’s one thing I can do really well is peel potatoes. Lol. After I got married I promised myself I was going to get me a potato peeler and I did but, it took me so much longer to peel potatoes and felt so awkward that I ended up going back to that old butcher knife that I was given to keep by my mama. Every time I use it I think about her. Hope y’all have a wonderful Fourth of July. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida
So delish!! Thank you!❤ You make me want to cook! At 65…I’ve tired of it.😬 And that’s been for quite a few years.😄🤭 Have a blessed week with your absolutely precious family.💕 Happy 4th!🇺🇸🎊

That meal looks so good. A beautiful dish to eat. What a beautiful and special family. God bless you and your family for sharing your recipes, your family and your time. Love all of you.
Oh my goodness! This was my first attempt at making salmon. I used your recipes for the whole meal and it was gobbled up! I don’t really care for salmon, but I really enjoyed this. Thanks Erin.❤️
What a beautiful family! I so look forward every week to your videos. I'm going to try your salmon recipe. Erin, I hope you're feeling well and taking the proper amount of rest. You look great!
Love this! Thanks for sharing a healthy meal that’s realistic for a family with lots of littles. I always enjoy getting some meal inspiration since it’s so easy to fall into a dinner rut
The softening the lemon and poking a hole to get the juice was a great tip!! Will definitely use that in the future. Also I always save those rubber bands my asparagus comes with. I use them to tie up food or chips or anything I need to when I run out of chip clips 😂
Hey, thank you so much for the recipe. every time you put a new recipe it is such a blessing. I very much look forward to using it for our small and growing family. I have a five month old and expecting number two.
A tip with rice, rinse it well before cooking it. Measure out your amount you want into your pot, using cold water, fill just over the rice, and rub the rice with your hands; squishing it, and swirling it with your fingers. The water will turn milky as the starch comes out. Pour this water off, and repeat until the water is clear. Then, add your broth, or water. Removing the excess starch will make it fluffy. ❤
@@donnabrant9031 From my understanding, Minute Rice is partially cooked so it’s not necessary. Just fluffing it with a fork while it’s still hot should help separate the grains.
Suggestions: If you buy automatic push button salt and pepper grinders, young kids can then always help salt & pepper when cooking. It's controlled and you just tell them to stop when the right amount is applied. Also, you can collect all of the salvage from vegetables as i.e. asparagus ends, carrot peels, tops, bottoms, tops and bottoms of onions, stems of parsley/cilantro, ends of green onions etc. in the freezer in a freezer zip lock bag, and keep adding to it as days go bye. Then use it to make a great vegetable stock at your convenience which can be frozen as well! 🤗
Erin you are such a sweet, patient and wonderful Mom. The girls are precious and great helpers.
Brook and Holly did an amazing job helping out! Erin I love how patient you are with your kids. Beautiful family..

Erin. The rice should be rinse well before cooking. It makes a difference. Rinse until water runs clear. It's not clean.
