I’m halfway through the video, and honestly? Bringing everyone together in your community through Wonder Trading is one of the most sincere and lovely things ever. Who cares if some of them are hacked? It gave you an opportunity to interact with your community in a way that felt both important to you, and in a way that people could enjoy. Amazing stuff, Absol!

It's so sweet and it reminds me of the way the community used to be very united especially when these games first game out. It weirdly made me get emotional sometimes the community is so vicious and we forget that the games are just about coming together and having fun, whether it's battling or trading. It's all about fun and everyone involved in this video had fun here.
This deserves so much more attention, this is a surprisingly heart-warming story. So many people coming together for something so stupid... it's strangely beautiful.

I really hope you do another wonder trade-related challenge in the future, because it really seems like you succeeded in bringing back the spirit of what it used to be, if not for just a little while.
Frankly, the non-gaming footage in the Before the First Gym level 100 gauntlet is what kept me around this channel in the first place. Never doubt adding that content whenever possible.

I just wanna say that this brings back so many good memories of when I used to wonder trade for hours hoping I would get certain Pokémon. (I even got excited for shinies even though I knew they were hacked.)To bring a community together like this is something honestly so wonderful to witness.
Ok but this challenge shows how well people can work together for a common goal and that's really nice Also i remember back in like 2014-17 how people would routinely breed 5-6iv mons specifically to clear out wondertrade from route 1 catches
I remember that. I actually kept on doing something like it for a while. It wasn’t 5-6 IV breeded mons since I was too young to understand IVs at the time but I had the same goal of clearing out the route 1 catches.
During Xmas after the release of SwSh I bred a bunch of starters and named them all after Christmas related things, I hope some kids getting the game that day were made happy :D

I haven’t been back in several years due to family estrangement, so every time I see you show footage of the city and I recognize different stores and landmarks and places I miss, it makes me feel very happy and helps me with the loss of having to leave my community. I guess, this time, you could say WE raised this Pokemon to level 100 in an unconventional way or environment because, more or less, we're all crazy... What a great idea for a community effort this was, and a great video we got out of it! Wonder trade is seriously one of my favorite additions to the Pokémon series. It's just so insanely ridiculous, once you get past the constant magikarps and fletchings. In the 3Ds games I'd enjoy wonder trading shinies! Especially in x, cuz I liked to see how many ppl would give a 'nice' in return (not many 😔)

New challenge: Reach level 100 on a pokemon using the item duplication glitch from Japanese Diamond or Pearl (double battle, have a pokemon hold an mball and transform into enemy pokemon, then thief on it). You can only use exp from the battles, and you MUST end up with +1 mball after every battle, meaning no rare candy duping

Yay, a Gen 6 video! For all its flaws, it's really one of my favourite generations because of features like Wonder Trade and the PSS. It really felt connected to the broader online community in a way that I hadn't experienced before then in a Pokemon game. I love this gauntlet concept so much!

New challenge: Reach level 100 on a pokemon using the item duplication glitch from Japanese Diamond or Pearl (double battle, have a pokemon hold an mball and transform into enemy pokemon, then thief on it). You can only use exp from the battles, and you MUST end up with +1 mball after every battle, meaning no rare candy duping

Sure, Gen 6 is flawed in a lot of ways, but god damn if Wonder Trading isn’t one of my favorite features in any Pokémon game. Wonderlockes are always a great time, even if you’re basically guaranteed an inevitable Zigzagoon you’ll never use

Yay, a Gen 6 video! For all its flaws, it's really one of my favourite generations because of features like Wonder Trade and the PSS. It really felt connected to the broader online community in a way that I hadn't experienced before then in a Pokemon game. I love this gauntlet concept so much!
