So when Nanami fought Mahito in the sewer he was basically a newborn cursed spirit as he didn't have any combat experience similarly to Choso and it looked like Nanami was his first real fight against a sorcerer, and not to mention that he didn't even have a domain expansion at the time either. In the second fight Nanami and Yuji jump him and they both would have lost had it not been for Mahito touching Sukuna's soul twice

Suddenly Gakuganji´s desire to kill Yuji starting to make a whole lotta sense. Blud could´ve stopped most of the shit that´s about to go down throughout the entire anime 😭
Not really, the old man wanna kill yuji after he ate 1 finger. There are 19 other fingers scattered across japan so sukuna can still reincarnate. Gojo's plan is more realistic, by gathering all 20 fingers inside one vessel, and kill the vessel (yuji) after that is more efficient. Its like killing your enemy in "one blow". Though, it also didn't go well cus the curse spirits, especially kenjaku to be precise, has his own plan that interrupted gojo's and gakuganji's plan simultaneously.

That being said, Kenjaku can just use that time to probably make more than one vessel this time. In short term, yes, the plan could work. In long term, nah. Additionally, after eating the 1st finger, finding the other fingers would not be hard, cus Yuji will just be "attracted" to the fingers. So getting rid all of 20 fingers at once is more realistic, instead of destroying it one by one.

I love that the series lulls you into forgetting the Jogo is extremely powerful, since we've only seen him fighting Gojo so far... So it makes sense for him to body a grade 1 sorc. But immediately after we get to see someone that would easily body him. I love Gege's power scaling.
Nanami did so well against mahito during their first encounter because he was just born recently. While he at that time was shown to be the weakest, as even itadori held his ground, Mahito also has the highest room to grow. During his second battle with sorcerers he learned domain expansion on the brink of death. Gojo on the brink of death learned red/purple. Nanami even notes that Gojo and Mahito are similar in the anime. We also saw this in the first episodes of shibuya when he fought mechamaru and discovered new things about his abilities. Jogo is the most powerful by far for now, but poor guy was always fighting gojo, and now he has to fight sukuna.
Gojo always knew how to perform red and purple as they are techniques passed down within the Gojo family. A better example would be Gojo learning RCT on the brink of death which allowed him to perform red and purple

I don’t know if you guys remember but In season 1 Nanami mentioned that Mahito was still young and learning his powers, that’s why he wanted to exercise him so quick before he became what he is now. Nanami was only winning because Mahito had no battle experience, these curses are special grade for a reason.

Literally the whole reason why the sealing thing was done cuz gojo was just too strong for anyone at this point of the story , the author needed more time to let the villains plan progress and get sukuna back to his full strength and 10s buff so he could fight gojo

@@quasogod 😒 how would Gojo deal with Malevolent Shrine, he could enclose Shrine with unlimited void to make a small ball because he was closed in the prison realm, no prison real no way for gojo to deal with that and once he deals with yuji form sukuna the real 4 armed sukuna with his 1 time full heal would pop right up.
Man i know you are a Gojo stan and during the fight of the strongest i was ruting for Gojo but Sukuna just is stronger, simple as that.

I think in one of those extra info panels or guides gege said that the granny specifically used "Toji Zenin" to summon him because that was his prime, so yeah, he technically is stronger here than when he fought Gojo.

Remember that was Mahito first fight and he was still learning his technique. Mahito was playing with Namami while also testing how far he can go, also keep in mind that Jogo is the current strongest disaster curse.
Still can't get over what happened to Mimiko and Nanako. All those girls wanted was to properly mourn their paternal figure, Suguru, AND to kill the parasite possessing his corpse...😢

Megumi holding back Dagon's guaranteed hit definitely helped. But this just puts into perspective the power gap. Two first grades(one who was the second fastest NEXT to Gojo) and two semi first grades were all jumping Dagon and kinda losing. 4V1 and Dagon was holding his own. Toji steps in and obliterates him. Takes a tool from Maki and gets to work. In HIS domain. Absolute monster.
Now, even crazier, we see another power gap. Jogo has always been in fights against Gojo. And everyone seems weak against Gojo. But here we see him against opponents that are not on Gojo's level. And he literally speed blitzes three of them before they can comprehend what just happened properly. Being weak against Gojo does not mean you're weak in general.
Nanako and Mimiko. Two girls who were abused and mistreated but rescued by Geto. They wanted to put his body to rest. To get that brain out of his body. But it didn't work out that way. Sukuna heard their pleas and killed them anyway. R.I.P. Dagon, Nanako and Mimiko. Just goes to show, he isn't on anyone's side but his own. He is not some protector of Yuji at all. And now he's agreed to a deal with Jogo. If he can land one hit on him, ONE, then he will do as the disaster curses want. Obliterate every last human in Shibuya. Aside from one.
Toji just took back what belonged to him in the 1st place. Playful cloud used to be in his secret inventory but then it went to mama Geto,then to Gojo and then to Maki.
Also,Maki and Megumi ain't semi first grade at this point of time. Maki is a grade 4 and Megumi is a grade 2 sorcerer.

People with Heavenly Pacts as Strong as Toji’s have so little cursed energy most Domain Expansion’s Guaranteed hit effects can’t affect them.
With the exception of things like Sukuna’s domain which just blends everything, Toji can avoid the innate techniques. He could even just walk out of the domain if he really wanted because it doesn’t register him properly as a valid target.

I think the most satisfying thing for me this episode was Maki witnessing someone else from the same clan straight killing it without cursed energy. Letting her know what she’s working towards is possible. I know it put the battery in her back to go harder. 🙌🏾✨

something that makes toji even crazier: he can’t see curses because he has no cursed energy whatsoever. he was fighting dagon without ever actually seeing him. he was able to sense where he was because his other senses are THAT op
they explain in the first half of the season that he trained all of his senses to detect curses without having to use any cursed energy so he can see them
He can see them. Maki is the one who cant and requires glasses.
Nah he can see them with his eyes, not just with other senses. He was "enlightened" for lack of a better word, his body has the innate ability to see curses without cursed energy but you need to do some type of training to get to that point.
He can see it. Yuki, while talking with Geto on episode 5, talks about Toji being able to sense curses with all his 5 senses, even without having cursed energy.

Sukuna really killed Getos kids because they tried to leverage a finger over him. Even if he didn't accept their request he might've at least spared their lives
They mentioned way back that Mahito was a newly born curse and so when he fought Nanami that was essentially his first real fight. They mentioned that he would grow powerful at a very fast rate, and so he has grown much stronger since then.

One thing is that no matter how many evil Sukuna does, he has that sense of honoring Jujutsu. We've seen that before back in S1 while he sliced that special grade curse. I really want to know how was he as a human (probably a great sorcerer). Man, If he has a really dark history and story behind why he died and turned into a curse, I'll be so down to invest in that. Him saying things like being the "unwanted child" adds up in an interesting way to connect the dots to his past life. He's rather disciplined as a curse. Maybe that's just a 'king thing'.
